Shoutout to Steph! I called earlier about a preorder and had a pretty frustrating experience with another employee who didn't really look into my question and ended up hanging up on me. I called back later and Steph answered. He was super helpful, took the time to actually look into everything, and explained everything I needed to know. Really appreciate the great customer service, especially late at night! read more

Called 6 times before they picked up. Asked if they the new free gamestop exclusive pikachu championship card that dropped today and surprisingly didn't know what I was talking about. Sus. read more

Called 10min prior to showing up. Made sure they had availability of 30th booster bundles for sale. Told me yes plenty and I can buy up to four as a member even though I didn't have pre-order. Shows up and they state it's sold out. There was no line. GameStop is a good concept however the people they hire are extremely low quality and standards. Either they have no idea what's going on or they scam the extra inventory and resell. I have never had a good experience shopping at GameStop, for games nor cards. I understand now why they have fewer and fewer locations. PokemonUSA shouldn't even associate with GameStop. The shopping experience is pathetic. read more

I purchased a PlayStation from this location and later discovered that it was locked and unusable. Even more concerning, the transaction was never entered into GameStop's system, so there was no official record of the sale. This raises serious concerns that employees may be selling personal merchandise inside the store without processing it through GameStop. I cannot confirm exactly what happened, but a customer should never leave a GameStop with a locked console and an unrecorded transaction. Management and corporate need to investigate this location immediately. I would not recommend purchasing anything here until this is addressed. read more

Store was clean and organized. I liked this store had a lot of cute items and I visited other GameStop stores the same day. The customer service was good. There are parking spots directly in front of the store, so this store in particular is very access friendly. read more

Let be start by complimenting Michael. He is so friendly and helpful. I love every interaction with him. Thank you for your solid service, Michael. Management: please have a stern conversation with Lisa. Every time I have interacted with her either in person or over the phone, she is extremely rude and makes you feel like you're unimportant and bothering her. I encourage you to test her. Be a secret shopper and you'll see exactly what I am talking about. Unfortunately this location is the closest to my house, or I would never step foot in here. I am trying to learn Lisa's schedule so I can avoid her shifts. read more

Went into the store today to pick-up a preorder and was met with Michael and Emilio. They both instantly greeted me with a smile despite already being busy with customers. I took my place in line and had a great conversation with both of them while they were getting my preorder. Customer service here with these two at the helm is outstanding and I saw that their card wall was well stocked with endless selection. If I didn't have somewhere to be after, I would've stayed longer just to chat because they are so open, knowledgeable and friendly! Keep up the fantastic work you two. It's because of employees like this that keep me coming back to Gamestop! read more

saw there was a release on 6/21/25 for a Pokémon tcg set I was interested in and decided to try and get my hands on it. Reason I'm giving 1 star is because they were only selling these to "pro" members even though the GameStop site does not specifically state pro members only. Seems like an unnecessary upsell to me read more

Walking into this GameStop felt like stepping into a midlife crisis simulator for retail workers who peaked during the Xbox 360 era. Every employee looked like they still live at home, argue with their mom about Hot Pockets, and think having a lanyard gives them minor government authority. The power trips here are Olympic-level. The attitude. The sighs. The condescending explanations about video games--my guy, this is GameStop, not NASA Mission Control. You scan discs and upsell warranties no one wants. Let's relax. No one needs an IQ test or a superiority complex to work here, yet somehow everyone acts like they're the final boss of customer service. Ask a simple question and you'll get treated like you just insulted their guild leader. God forbid you don't want to preorder something releasing in 2029 or decline the sacred Protection Plan™. Decline once and suddenly you're the enemy of the state. The store itself smells like dust, desperation, and broken dreams, with shelves organized like a garage sale thrown by someone who gave up halfway through. Prices are laughable, trade-in values are insulting, and the vibes scream "corporate hostage situation." Honestly, the most confusing part is the ego. I don't understand how someone can be on a power trip in a GameStop. It's like being arrogant at a food court Sbarro. Who are we impressing here? If you enjoy awkward silence, judgmental stares, and employees acting like gatekeepers to a hobby everyone already has access to online--this is your Disneyland. For everyone else: order online, buy elsewhere, or just save yourself the emotional damage. Would give zero stars if the system allowed it. read more

As a collector of TCG cards I'm always looking to see if I can I get my hands on product. Today I was looking for One Piece & Pokemon. I had great service from the part time employee Matthew who checked me out at the counter where I purchased some Pokemon TCG. My complaint here is about the manager on duty, who was chatting it up with a friend and when I asked for any one piece while Matthew was checking for me as any good customer device rep would, the manager on duty didn't even let him check just dismissing the fact that Matthew was checking for me. It was nice of Matthew to check where they keep their hidden packs for employees or holds, but he didn't have the chance to finish due to the rude manager on duty on 4/07 at 6:15pm. He needs to be trained in customer service read more

I haven't gamed in a long time I just had my second son and was so excited to finally enjoy some time with my new Xbox. But instead, it's been nothing but frustration. The only games I bought was Modern Warfare 3, gta 5 that's only for the other Xbox, and Cyberpunk which don't even work. Modern Warfare 3 keeps showing a system error! On top of that, the controller I bought from GameStop didn't work either. When I tried to return them (before the deadline), the store refused. I also find it funny that they didn't need any ID to sell me these items, but whe i vent to return them, suddenly I needed ID - and they wouldn't accept my passport, even though it's an official government-issued ID. The worker never mentioned my Xbox couldn't even play the game they sold me. Now I'm stuck with junk I can't use, and I feel dismissed, discriminated against, and completely let down as a customer. read more

Michael and Emilio provided excellent customer service for my purchases. This is the second time I was assisted by the both of them and they have been so professional. You both are very much appreciated, thanks again read more

Helpful and very informative and I brought in my luffy card from one piece and they were able to guide me through the process .

If Gamestop wants to seriously promote the card grading with PSA part of their business, they need to train their employees on how to handle collectible cards that could be worth a substantial amount of money. Came here to get cards graded. They were prepped in sleeves in a semi rigid holder per PSA. The lady handling the cards treated them like they were playing cards. Pressing the cards down with her thumb, bending the cards when placing them on the table. Stacking them and constantly taping the stack on the table like you would playing cards. Definitely didn't handle with care. I'm hoping there wasn't enough rough handling to affect the grade. We shall see. read more

Terrible customer service, never picks up their calls. I wish there was a an option to choose no star! The communication, staffing and management was done extremely poor. Today was the release date for Pokemon TCG Blooming Waters. At 9am there was a line which was expected. The employee arrived around 9:40am, announcing that she will be giving out tags and that it is one Pokemon product per person. From 9:40am to 11am, there were a bunch of people who cut in line which no one regulated. She then said there were no more Pokemon products but you can get a promo card before the door opens. When the door opened at 11am, we start seeing people walking out with 2 boxes per customer. It looked like she just want to get rid of the people in the line instead of ensuring the customers who lined can get something and as many customers as possible. Her attitude was poor, kept saying it is not her problem that people cut in line and she was told that she can decide how she wants to distribute the product. She was saying I am sorry in a condescending demeanor, like too bad so sad but not my problem. I understand to you this is just a job and it is a lot of pressure working solo when there's a line of enthusiasts waiting to make their purchases. In addition, she told customers that we should have reserved it online, but the website clearly said in store only!! She said they got less shipment because other stores took their shipment to supply the reserved customers. Again, saying not her fault and not her problem. This sounds more like someone was withholding inventories for personal gain. It is not like GameStop price is cheaper, but to me it is safer where I don't expect a fight to break out but I didn't think I would get cheated out of getting at least one box of blooming waters. I know this would not stop people from lining up or purchasing from GameStop but at least now you know what to expect. If you want to get the next release, you need to show up at 3am, heck go out and camp out there 2 days before. This is how you will prevent the worker lying to you about inventories, decides against her own words and start selling more to get rid of all of you. read more

WORST and a bunch of LIARS! I refuse to assume ethnicity 100% but this guy who is, I'm assuming he is a manager, of Asian or possibly filipino descent needs to find a new job. He is a liar said his system is not allowing a return for a game I got 8 days ago and Tina Sanchez the DM doesn't respond. They do Not care about you or your business! This store does not want to ever help you and don't go to this guy he will give you a million excuses! Corporate told me that's not a thing to mail back a in store return ! Usually found inside malls, this is a stand alone shop hidden in a corner along the outskirts of the West Covina Filipino district with a whole lot of parking. Most of their shops carry just games and nothing else. This place has some very cool collectibles for sale inside a plexiglass case, items I haven't seen before. They also carry Pop Vinyl and Walking Dead tees, nice. All of this jumps out at you as soon as you walk in the store,it was kinda overwhelming. What was supposed to be a game run with my nephew, turned out to be spending frenzy like it was going out of style.Darn you Game Stop,Smeagol and I now have to find a spot in our man cave for our "Precious"This is one shop I will definitely be coming back to again and again, over and over. I can't forget to mention the dude behind the counter that was really helpful to my nephew. Its good that they have gamers working at these stores to answer questions and do orders for up coming games and special editions.Peace out read more

They need to close this place down already. Every time I come in here the workers are always talking amongst themselves inappropriately, and never offer help or welcome you. I feel like asking a question is bothering them. It seems every time I come in here the service gets worse and worse. My advice would be buy online and avoid this location altogether. I've also seen some shady back door deals going on here. Overall just terrible service and unreliable associates here. read more

Went to this Gamestop location because the one on North Azusa has horrible customer service. I had not been to this GameStop in a while and was pleasantly surprised! Lil backstory, I received an email gift card from a friend. For some odd reason it got sent to herself and she provided me with screenshots of card number and pin. This happened Tuesday April 25, around 7:20pm. So I went in to get one of the last 2 copies of "the last of us part 1" for PS5. Associate was not able to help me redeem gift card to buy my game. He was a 5.5 male with long hair and glasses. He was not helping at all. Didn't even bother to check with anyone else or a higher up person than himself. PATHETIC SERVICE. GameStop is lucky I have to waste my gift card there or else I would of made purchase somewhere else. read more

Their associate Shawntel made game insurance seem like it was mandatory with misleading verbiage to a mom who then purchased it not knowing it's not necessary. She also looked up a price on the GameStop website for a price match but used the higher "digital" price instead of the lower "new" price to negate the price match. She also pushed membership and asked for personal info repeatedly. Why the dishonesty? Are the quotas strict? Why is she so pressed to perform read more

Went to the West Covina store want to trade in a game and was told the game still have some plastic warp on the game and can't trade in the game. I want to clean out the plastic and they said unfortunately I can't do that because he already scan it into the system either go to another store or come back next time. Really great service there, could of told me that before the employee scan the item. Gave you another chance to buy other games from you instead of target or amazon but this is what I get for second chance. I'll just go trade it in at Best Buy and use that to buy more games. Your deal aren't the best and you know that. Get a idea why puente hill branch closed. All because of the service level we get out here. Why would I buy something from GameStop when I can get it from other stores or online. Service is the reason people come back to you. I wouldn't try again even if the trade in price were a little bit higher than Best Buy it's just too inconvenient. Sorry. read more

never had a problem at this Gamestop but I preorder A game it was suppose to be released on Friday 10/15 but they did not receive thier shipments. I thought that was unnecessary. I will no longer preorder games here ill driver to the west covina mall now for my games. read more

I purchased a preowned Nintendo switch yesterday and went to go pick it up at the store. When I brought it home I open the box and pulled the console out and saw there's multiple scratches on the screen and dirt so I place it back in the box. When returning to the store today, I asked to return the item and the employee (Cesar) told me that he couldn't find the power adapter. I let him know that the box was exactly how I bought it yesterday and that I only ever took the console out. Everything that was in their was how the device was given to me yesterday. I even purchased the warranty. Cesar so rudely explained he would not return the switch for me and there was nothing else I could do and no one else I could speak to regarding the issue. He said he wasn't going to have this be "on him". So now not only did I have a switch in poor condition but it was also without the power adaptor. Despite the fault being on the store, Cesar made it clear, as the manager, he had wiped his hands clean from this issue. Called customer service and they provided me a return slip to return the item with a full refund, no questions asked. Don't recommend buying preowned--just spend the extra $50 and get something new, but if you do: make sure they open the box in front of you and show you everything that is in it before you leave the store, and if you have to deal with Cesar..sorry read more
