This was my local GameStop growing up and I always loved going here, even just to look at the new titles, play the demos and talk to the staff about games. Friendly staff, good atmosphere with decent prices for the most part. The one downside is that it's a smaller location and, because of this, the inventory can be lacking at times. This is especially true nowadays when it comes to Xbox 360 or Nintendo DS titles, where they often won't have more than a handful. read more

I like going here instead of dealing with the snobs in Capitola or Santa Cruz, that judge you based on what you buy it's pathetic. Plus their selection is better here, during this pandemic it's nice to have gaming consoles and they have the most helpful staff/managers i've seen at a gamestop ever. Lately I have been going to gamestop since I just bought a Playststation 4 after years of not having one, i've gathered up quite the collection. This place is a great location and it for being so busy. I went in, browsed their used game section and walked out with some great games. This is truly one of the better stores, my only negative thing to say is they rip you off with trade ins. That's gamestop as a whole company not just this location. But if you want to buy a used game at a reasonable price then come here. A+ customer service, thank you! read more

I bought Pokémon packs from this location. And I noticed the packs had a different type of glue on it. Be careful.

Always find what im looking for when im looking for something new But very disapointed that they wont carry any older games and systems!! ps2 and first xbox are not old in my book and should still be available in a video game store!! read more

Terrible customer service! I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes and thought they forgot about me. So I had my niece call them and they let it ring for 10 minutes before picking up and hanging up. Once I finally got off of hold, they were still in the middle of a conversation. Very disappointed with what I experienced over a phone call. I can't imagine the service I would get if I ever have to be desperate enough to step into this store! read more

Every time I go in here, the staff is friendly. Be it Ricky, Lauren, Esther, or any of the other employees, they are friendly and knowledgeable about various games. Never have had a problem, and they always seem to want to help. However, only flaw I can see is that the selection of PC games is almost non existent. Very few used/new ones. read more

This the best gamestop we have in Santa Cruz. The store is the cleanest, and best maintained among the others. Theres not a bunch of clutter at the front counter, and the shelfs are kept clean and organized. You can find what you need, and the shelfs never look out of stock. The staff is extremely friendly, and can even remember you from your last purchase. I bought my PS4 from there, and they had them in stock, and ready to go. Forget the Capitola stores, this is well worth the drive to Watsonville to get games from. I will continue to shop at this store for as long as it says open! read more

Not very impressed with customer service. Last week I called in and spoke with a girl and put a game on hold (which I had just seen in the store the night before). They told me they would, took my name and phone number and I told them when I would be in to pick it up. Went in when I said I would, the girl working there proceeded to help someone else first even though I had arrived before they had and had been waiting for someone to help. When she finally got around to helping me, she couldn't find the game or even an indication that the game had been put on hold or that I had called in requesting it. read more

This gamestop really blows. One of the employees there put my money in a gift card without my consent, now I have no way of getting my money back or so they say. I feel ripped off and cornered into purchasing from them. I believe they did this to keep my money I their store, which I feel is a nasty tactic to get customers. Terrible work ethic, and they have no Idea how to mind their own business. I don't see my self doing business with these fools ever again. Until two of the staff members quit working thetr. I'll take the 20 minute drive to the next gamestop if I have to. read more
