This is mostly for the corporate office. They sold me on the annual membership with the line "and each month you can get a free five dollar voucher to use for free. You can come in and buy $5 of Nintendo cash." I was like, that's cool. I'm sure the children could put that to good use. A month or so later.... "Hey! I'm here to pick up that $5 for the Nintendo shop". They were like "oh uh...yeah, about that. Corporate said you have spend at least $10 in store before we can give you the $5". I was like, "but you said...". They were like, "well corporate said no". I was like, isn't that like changing the rules in the middle of the game. She was like "yeah, so no cancelations and there is nothing I can do..." May the curse of unfair deceptive marketing practices rest upon your dishonest selves until you repent of your lying ways. The people in there seem friendly at first but they try to upsell anyway they can. The one guy in particular tried to tell a few of us that you couldn't play a certain game offline (Saints Row). He made it sound like you had to have xbox live to play which you definitely do not. He also after multiple times of saying no again asked us to upgrade to an elite version of a couple games that the only thing the elite version came with was a new gun or a new perk. Look I understand the importance of upselling, I used to work retail but being pushy is awful. I would never recommend going to this gamestop and would never drive on post specifically to go to this one. Awful experience everytime I've been in. I bought a game here just yesterday at the time of this writing. Yeah the people there like said before seem like nice people but they're anything but. I purchased a used copy of darksouls and like with any other gamestop I've been to I fully expected it to work (I've only had to return 3 to date in my time buying from them because they wouldn't work). Well once I got home I popped it in and I got a screen of Pixel garbage and an infinite loading screen. Well I tried installing it: wouldn't go past 10%. So I returned it today, 5/19/2013, and he took it out of the case and told me it had disk burn. (If you don't know what disk burn is, it's when you tip your xbox over and the console scratches the disk) Well now it wasn't the same person, but he told me "We don't sell games with disk burn" so after a small back-and-forth of me saying I got it that way (Which it did come that way) and him basically saying "Well don't tip your Xbox over", I asked for a full refund which he did give me. The fact that I have my xbox laying on its side to avoid things like disk-burn and then him telling me that it was pretty much my fault simply because his only excuse was: "We don't sell disk-burn games" is just dirty. After that I decided that I wouldn't shop there. I'm offended by the fact he was implying that I don't take care of my games when I do. This is a bad gamestop location. I strongly, strongly suggest you check any used games on sight. If you see deep scratch ring(s) on the disk: Make them test it or ask for a different copy. Otherwise don't shop here. read more
