Went to GameStop today to just buy a new PS4 Pro system. Associate (really nice lady) and I got to…read moretalking while she searched the system to find any local store that had a PS4 Pro in stock. I told her about Spider-Man as a conversation time killer (didn't know today the preorders of the Spider-Man PS4 Pro System (limited edition) were being delivered). I mentioned I tried for so many months to get one through many sites to no avail as Spider-man is my childhood hero. She said they have ONE Spider-Man console that I could buy today as a customer had just cancelled his preorder. I'LL TAKE IT!! Holy crap I was excited!! BUT she said she can't sell it to me until 3:00 when stores got permission to sell the unclaimed consoles. It was 2:20 at this point. I desperately needed to sit down (I'm handicap from injuries in the Service) and said I couldn't stand there until 3 - but she said it wasn't a problem - I could go next door and sit and come back at 3, where she would sell me the console then. I double confirmed that it was indeed mine to buy and nobody else can claim it, right? Confirmed! Since I was "first" to claim it, BY GAMESTOP POLICY, it's mine now. I thanked her a lot for her help and went to sit down, really happy. Came back inside at 2:45. About 6-8 people in line. She waives me to the front and says the manager overrode her and since I left to sit down, I'm no longer "in line" and he instead is going to sell it to a guy that's standing in line now that wants one. Um what? Manager was standing right there when I was told I could go sit down (because of my injuries) and come back at 3 to buy this very console. The nice lady associate helping me said "he (manager) won't even discuss it anymore". The manager was just a few feet away and all he did was kept looking at the guy in line he decided to sell the only console to, and smiled at him while refusing to talk to me about the promise he just broke! All because I couldn't physically stand there for 20 minutes... and had their permission to sit but not be skipped over....?! The lady associate helping me, was still really nice and obviously disagreed with him and hated having to tell me what was now happening versus what was promised only 20 minutes prior. Zero complaints against her. All against that manager!! I would have sat on the floor for that time if he told me that's what I would have to do. But no. The GameStop manager lied and made a deal with this new guy instead (looked like a friend the way they kept smiling at each other while I was being told NO) who arrived long after I was in there and told I could leave and come back for this console. He wasn't even around when they promised the system to me. Another broken promise. Another lie. Another time of totally being taken advantage of just because I needed a chair for a few minutes... Sorry if all this seems stupid to even be upset about, but when you get lied to, and taken advantage of over physical injuries outside of our control - that IS something to get upset about!

Talk about some helpful staff!…read more We walked in looking for the wifi antenna for the xbox 360 and were lucky enough to find one used. There was only a price difference of $10 between a used and new one, but the lady working was very reassuring. If there were any issues, which in her experience there had only ever been one, that we could simply bring it back, no problem, and either try and get another used one or just pay the $10 difference and buy a new one. Sweet. So we walked out with what we wanted and got great service.

Yes, you need all of the parts of your console if you trade it in. No, you cannot return a brand-new PlayStation after you played it for 5 days. No, they will not open the store after hours just because you already paid for a game. What am I missing here? This place is great. It's Gamestop. Unfortunately there is a rule where if the game still has the seal on it, you can't take it in for trade... so instead of just popping the seal and taking a brand new game as used and letting me get on my way, lady says I have to wait a full 24 hours since she saw it with the seal on it. So now I have to drive to a different location, al because she is refusing to take the game as used, because the seal is on it. Even asked her if I pop the seal myself, you can't just say, hey cool. It's used now. Nope. I have to use gas for a simple task like I'm not about to just pop the seal and do it at another location. Turned down a 100 dollar sale, for a rule. If I could give 0 stars.
