MAJORLY dissapointed with this store…read more found every single member of staff rude, abusive, acting like the dont want to be there and not helpful in the slightest i wish i could say this was only once or twice but its every time we go in there. we had to buy all of our baby stuff from here as its nearest to our house and whilst attempting to open a store card we had to retuen several times, i was heavily pregnant and no chair was ever offered while we stood around waiting for the incompetant staff to try and work out what was wrong with their computer!! even the managers didnt know it turns out they had been trained wrongly/badly never have i ever recieved a smile or a friendly hello off anyone working their and when i tried to return a faulty item they didnt want to give me the time of day and sent me away and when i asked a lady who was stood around leaning on a cot and chatting to another member of staff for a demonstration for a pram i got a discuisted look as if i had interrupted her socialising and she grumpily showed me how to use it there are always large groups of staff stood talking to each other on the shop floor and never ever anough people on the tills. one if ure lucky!!!!

It is a great place just to go and browse, I could spend hours in there trying all the toys and testing the computer games! The staff are really friendly and willing to help. They are not the cheapest place for toys on the high street, but if you want to get everything for your children's Christmas in one place, it is ideal. Leeds City Centre is desperately lacking toy shops, so when it came to buying Xmas presents for the Mini MacDoos and their friends time around I found myself with little choice other than jumping on the bus and heading down to Birstall retail park to have a mooch round Toys R Us. When I got there and walked in I was completely overwhelmed. I had no idea where to start! I was very glad I hadn't taken the kids with me as I think they might have quite literally exploded with excitement. Which would have made a terrible mess. Aisle after aisle of the stuff of every kids wildest dreams. Action toys. Role playing toys. Educational toys. Cuddlies. Cars. Electronics. You name it, they've got it. There are sections for all the different characters of the moment, I almost peed mutants with excitement when I saw the Hello Kitty section!! Only downsides for me really are that it's not the cheapest place in the world for toys, but if you're not quite sure what you're after it's worth going there to get some inspiration. If you've got a smartphone it's easy enough to check online to see if you can get an item significantly cheaper elsewhere, and the experience of shopping there is so fab that for me it's worth paying an extra pound or so for an item. The other thing, obviously, is that it's not in the city centre, and if you don't drive, then Birstall retail park isn't the easiest or cheapest place to get to (however you can always compensate yourself for the inconvenience by heading over to the Krispy Kreme shop for a treat while you're there!) So all in all it gets a thumbs up from me. If you're young at heart, get yourself there and pretend you're Tom Hanks in Big!!

I found myself queing outside this store on a cold December morning trying to get hold of the number 1 toy for Christmas 2009. I rang the night before and was told they were expecting a delivery the following day. When I arrived there was a small queue outside once the doors opened it was well organised and there was no pushing or shoving staff handed you the items you asked for. I was really pleased. This store has so many types of toys it is amazing I bet kids would be happy to spend the whole day there if you would let them.

There's pretty much every kind of (childrens) toy you can think of. They also have a wide range of computers and games consoles (and games), and were the first company in the UK to stock the innovative EEE pc. As far as I know, they are still the chief supplier of this brand. Festival Park is a great location for the branch, as Toys R Us and the cinema make for a good day out. There's also that waterpark there, though I've no interest meself. The last time I visited this Toys R Us, the opening hours went quite late (I think it closed at 8pm).

The prices are reasonable and the staff seem knowledgeable and are usually very helpful and friendly although it can sometimes be tricky to find someone because of the shear size of the store. The layout of the could be better It sometimes feels a little claustrophobic with the shelving towering high above you and because of this you can't see the signs to guide you to specific things but I suppose that is the only way that they could fit everything in.

This place will take you back to your childhood…read more Toycraft is an exquisite toy shop, nestling in the middle of Chester. It's definitely a more upmarket toy shop than, say, Toys R Us -- the toys are 'top of the range' (many are made of high-quality wood) and are priced accordingly. ...well, this is Chester, after all! Quite a few of the toys seem to be original (at least, I've not seen them on sale anywhere else), and there is plenty to amuse and entertain youngsters of all ages. The staff are friendly and helpful, and shopping (or just browsing) there is a real pleasure. The only slight drawback is that it's in the middle of Chester and access for drivers is not especially easy. Because of the quaint old nature of Chester, the shop is not the easiest to get into if you've got a buggy (if I recall correctly there are some steps right by a narrow-ish entrance, with a sharp turn immediately you go in) -- and this is the only reason why it gets four stars rather than five. But if you can get there, and if you can get in, I doubt you'll regret it!

Toys are arranged in very good display cases and viewing/buying is made very easy. We did buy a number of items and were impresses with the service and the packing used. Over all I would recommend a visit.
