I was fortunate to attend a Banana Ball League game featuring the Savannah Bananas and Indianapolis Clowns. The Indy Clowns have a rich, pioneering history tracing back to the 1930s! It was about 7 to 8 minute walk from the Ayres Hotel. So can't really comment on parking for this particular game. Although exiting the game as a pedestrian was a challenge. For the OG yelpers, think of the video game, Frogger. At the gate, it was nice to be greeted by friendly greeters in banana suits! There were several yellow tents in the front selling Savannah Bananas merch and other Banana Ball League items. Although the lines were long, they kept it moving. The hubby and I were seated up in the upper level. It was a combo of an escalator and stairs to get up there. There are the big screens or just watching the action directly on the field from the upper level. In the latter part of the game, we took a break and went downstairs to to get Angel dogs and a drink. Those hot dogs hit the spot. The drinks were in a large commerative Angels plastic cup. Lines of course are long but they did a great job of keeping them moving. The Savannah Bananas/Indianapolis Clowns game was a good family-friendly experience at a nice ballpark. 4 stars.

I don't usually review parks, but did this time because I knew that this beauty was not getting the flowers that it deserved. Stopped by yesterday evening for a 1.5-hour hot girl walk with a friend, and it checked all the usual boxes. Clean, well maintained, plenty of mature trees, and wide paths that make it easy to settle into a good conversation without constantly dodging people. It has that easygoing neighborhood feel that works just as well for a book club meetup, a picnic date, or a jog if you're in that 5k/marathon phase of your quarter life crisis like my friends are. An unexpected highlight for us was catching skytyping that was announcing Olivia Rodrigo's new album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love," which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. We were craning our necks for a cool 20 minutes trying to figure out what the message meant and I didn't figure it out until looking it up on Reddit when I got home. Not exactly standard park entertainment, but definitely memorable. Also worth noting, right across the street we came across a full Zumba class happening in a small private studio. Apparently it runs every Thursday evening with a $7.00 cover. If you're into that kind of thing, it could be a fun way to switch things up. All in all, Pearson Park knocked it out of the (local) park. It was interesting enough for me to consider adding it to my future routine and will absolutely be coming back.

The park is a good sized park -- big enough for a dog walk or a run around the 0.7-mile perimeter…read more It has several tennis courts, baseball fields, playgrounds, and a swimming pool. There are many large trees around that offer very good shade. There are nice walk trails around the park but I would not advice to venture late at night as some parts of the park are not well lit.

This year we decided to put my son who is four and very hyper into T-ball to help him learn some discipline and make new friends and I could not be any happier. I myself have also made new friends and have created lifelong memories. The fields are extremely clean and kept up to high standards. All board members are wonderful people to work with and will help you with any questions or concerns. The best part is your children's coaches are all kind and caring, they make sure your children are having a good time and remind them that baseball should be fun on top of being a competitive sport. If you are second guessing Northeast, please don't because this is a wonderful league full of wonderful people and dedicated to the game of Baseball.

My boys played the first year this season and Ray was their coach and he was very patient with them, even with my 3 yr old who took awhile to get the hang of it. There was 18 games this season which allowed a lot of time and practice. The snack bar has great snacks like a typical baseball stadium. Other leagues we played didn't have snack bars so this was nice. The fields are the best. Ray really takes care of them and I'm so glad the whole field isn't just dirt. The grass is well maintained
