This wee newsagents is really old fashioned and all the better for it. It sells old boiling sweeties and chocolate caramels by the paper bag. Every Xmas, you can find Annuals of every description from Football to The Broons and Oor Wullie. They also sell a range of cards and magazines, as well as newspapers, sweeties and crisps. The ladies who work there are lovely, always dressed smartly in a red tabard which only adds to the old fashioned feel of the place.

The store is laid out fairly well though at times can seem a bit cluttered. Staff and friendly and helpful though at times there aren't enough on the tills. Ranging from journals to pamphlets, to comprehensive books studying the bible, you can find everything you want here if that is your thing. They also have quite a big Christian music selection, including DVDs and song books. The little cafe that adjoins the shop is nice and peaceful, and does some cracking soup. The staff in both could not be more welcoming or helpful.

I still feel like a kid when I go in to this shop and see all the jars of sweets lined up waiting to be measured out. Staff are nice and as well as sweets can buy other items including magazines etc. I stocked up recently with Cola Cubes and Pear Drops to make flavoured vodka's and the prices were really reasonable.
