While in the chair the barber was hostile and ruined my vibe for the whole day. Please save your money for a worthwhile business and do not visit here.

I won't waste much time here; I already had nearly four hours wasted just to get a basic, total…read morehead and face shave that should have taken perhaps 30 minutes once I was in the chair (second chair on the left when one enters).Serio getting in the chair? I was told there was one person ahead of me. I could see that, and I had no appointment, so I said OK and took a seat. As the guy got up, I stood up -- and discovered that there had been a guy ahead of me after the guy ahead of me. I thought I may have misunderstood what was said, so I sat down and let it go. Once I was in the chair -- we're talking nearly two hours later now -- things went sideways. The towel was taken off my head for the shave. It had been lukewarm at best and I thought that she would get right to it. My eyes were closed, my mind was relaxed, and I was ready to let it happen. After a minute or so, I open my eyes to see that she's sweeping up the hair around the chair. Seriously? But I'm giving it a chance or five. (Montgomery ain't NYC, or L.A., and things are slower here.) I'm watching her and she sees me. By this time, my head is cold. And yet -- she walks off. When she returns, she addresses someone who has just walked in the door. "I gotcha, just one person ahead of you." I look at all the chairs in the waiting area. THEY'RE EMPTY. By this time, I'm fighting to remain calm. Her math is screwed, she's about to dry-shave me after a semi-warm towel, and she can't pay attention long enough to stay at the chair. I sat still, I gave her the chance (foolishly thinking she knew something that clearly she did NOT), and once my time was up, I paid up and was out the door to get home and heal the small chunks of flesh that she had carved out. I definitely picked the wrong day to remain calm despite allowing someone who should not even use safety scissors get near my head. I won't be going back. I've been shaving my own head for nearly 40 years, and it seems that trying to find a competent barber to do a damn basic shave in this town is gonna be a waste of time. (This is the THIRD place I've visited in less than a year.) I can do a much better job in well under an hour and I won't leave wounds that take weeks to heal.
