If the shop isn't too busy, they'll happily plug in a game for you to try, or just let you have a go on whatever they've been playing when they didn't have customers. The owner has been trading games in Cambridge for as long as I can remember, must be 15 or 20 years now. Customer service is very good, if you do buy a second-hand game which doesn't work properly, they refund or replace with no fuss at all.

When I went in there the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Which is definitely more than I can say for their Cambridge store in the Great Arcade!! There's a great range of gaming consoles and games, both new and secondhand. And to entice you back, the company has a loyalty card scheme where you get credits towards your next purchase each time you buy something in the store. Which means that what you end up paying often ends up being a lot cheaper than what you thought it would be. Bonus!

The location has two massive stories of wall-to-wall geeky joy. Books, action figures, art, video gaming goodness; it's got it all. Worst part though was the truly useless customer service when I contacted them to find out where the heck my stuff was. The range of games varies from time to time, so you can't always find something you've seen before, but ordering is usually possible. The shop is spacious and while items are not stacked in the most user-friendly way - a knack for reading sideways comes in handy - it means that a lot can be fitted in without making the shop feel cramped.
