In early July, the Pfifferling (chanterelle) season just started and convinced me to get dinner although we ate too much cake in the afternoon. Unless you are aiming for the 300 pound weight class, an appetizer (Vorspeise) will be plenty.
First, dinner inside was good and service was incredibly friendly. Then, a couple of days later, we returned for brunch. Although there is no true brunch menu, the appetizer plates made for a great outdoors brunch.
In summary, food is very good, but not gourmet class, but service is 5-star friendly.
