Beautiful vistas and topography with some amazing sail boat salivating. A beautiful way to spend a nice day in Galway.

Because I was on a schedule, I couldn't linger or turn around and return the ring, but if I'd had the time, I absolutely would have. The older woman serving me was unreasonably rude--and (potentially racist?) Although she eventually seemed to realize and got back on track, I was stunned, especially since no one else I met in Ireland behaved this way. It felt like such a poor representation of the country. In the end, I still bought the ring (a decision I regret now) but I've since decided to give it away so I don't have it sitting around, reminding me of that awful experience in Galway.

I've worn a claddagh ring for as long as I can remember, so I thought it would be special to get…read moreone from Galway as a souvenir during my visit. Thomas Dillon is the original maker, so I figured I'd buy from the best. They have such high quality jewelry and beautiful claddagh rings. Women's are 50 euros, men 60, for just the silver. Maybe a little pricier than other spots, but they have a lifetime guarantee and an original stamp on the inside. They have other jewelry as well and a section in the back full of historical articles and the worlds smallest claddagh ring, which is super funny! I love my new ring and the woman helping us was so knowledgeable and kind! I'd highly recommend Thomas Dillin.

The service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The fish and chips? Hands down the BEST I've ever had -- perfectly crisp on the outside, flaky and tender inside. And the seafood chowder was beyond words. Rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Of course, the beer was fresh and delicious, just as it should be. An awesome, cozy spot that delivers on everything you hope for in a great Irish pub. We'll be back.

A true Irish Pub experience, bravo!…read more Our tour guide/ bus driver chose this location for us and gloated on how they have the best fish and chips in all Ireland here, as you can expect I was pretty eager to get on and try them. The fish and chips did not disappoint and the portion size was very generous. If I had to pick a flaw I suppose I would mention the size of the container of the tartar sauce that comes with the meal is very small, about three smears worth. Also, omg, look at the chips! Those are some unique shaped chips, at first I thought they were potato chips that were fried but no, they were French fries that looked like a potato chip. We stopped here after visiting the cliffs of Moher, the restaurant is located in Doolin County, which I believe has a cave you can visit if you want to get some more adventures in after a great meal at a terrific authentic Irish Pub. As always people SYOY!!!

The castle was so lovely and I enjoyed walking through the worker buildings and imagining how people lived back in the day. This was such an enjoyable day!! Oh! If I were asked to think of somewhere that epitomizes a fairy tale, it would be a toss-up between Kylemore Abbey and Neuschwanstein Castle - both are stunning in their own way. Absolutely plan a visit and tour - a walk around the property is what ethereal dreams are made of. Nature, Wildlife, flora, and fauna, you will get your fill...and still want more. Plenty of interest here especially if you make it a day trip for the history and nature lovers. The whole experience felt like we were stepping into a storybook. We'd visit again even if it were to simply roam the landscape.
