Maybe a little pricier than other spots, but they have a lifetime guarantee and an original stamp on the inside. They have other jewelry as well and a section in the back full of historical articles and the worlds smallest claddagh ring, which is super funny! There was a good mix of Celtic music (including songs everyone seemed to know the words to but me) and Johnny Cash. The next day I came back to Tigh Fox. There's no music in the day, but it was raining pretty fierce. When it's rainy (and cold) you want something warm to eat. I had bacon and cabbage. Pretty traditional type of dish. I really enjoyed it. This is a nice pub if you're in Galway. And it's only a short walk from the bus station and the train station. Definitely worth popping into for a drink or two.

The only time on the website/posters was "doors open at 8:30pm". Once there (around 8:30) we are told that the doors open at 10pm and the show will start at 11pm. Earlier in the night, we sat upstairs at large-table bench seating in a covered, semi-outdoor area with music. I enjoyed their Orchard Thieves apple cider, and from what I saw others got either beer, cider, or shots from the bar. Later we migrated downstairs to their club/stage area for the drag show. It was interesting to learn about shipwrecks and seabed mapping, some human biology and the history of medical devices, and really, what Irish museum would be complete without a history of the Irish Free State and the Troubles. Objects on display are tiny and massive, including the oldest Claddagh ring in existence (dating from circa 1700!) and a sailboat. The museum has stairs and a lift, making it fully handicapped accessible. There are a number of exhibits that are interactive and can be touched. The fish and chips did not disappoint and the portion size was very generous. Those are some unique shaped chips, at first I thought they were potato chips that were fried but no, they were French fries that looked like a potato chip. If I were asked to think of somewhere that epitomizes a fairy tale, it would be a toss-up between Kylemore Abbey and Neuschwanstein Castle - both are stunning in their own way. Absolutely plan a visit and tour - a walk around the property is what ethereal dreams are made of. Nature, Wildlife, flora, and fauna, you will get your fill...and still want more. Plenty of interest here especially if you make it a day trip for the history and nature lovers. The whole experience felt like we were stepping into a storybook. I was greeted immediately by the locals, offered "the best coffee in Ireland" (too bad I don't drink coffee), and spent the rest of the night hanging out with my new friends. This place combines coffee shop with wine bar with groovy music...what's not to love. When Tom (the owner) is there, free wifi is available (no wifi when he is gone). The vibe is total hep cat meets artsy caffeinated wino. I haven't felt as comfortable in a bar as I did there in a long time. I wish this place was on the corner of my street, because I'd be there every day.
