It hasn't even been a full 24 hours yet, so I can't speak to any changes there. BUT, I haven't been able to sit cross legged on the floor for many years. My right hip was not allowing full range of movement. (I usually only noticed it when putting on socks!) I was talking about my visit to a coworker this morning, and tried to move my leg as I would, and to my surprise, I could bring it all the way up with no pain. I proceeded to try a cross legged sit, and was also able to do that. Again, no pain. I know it's been over 10 years at a minimum since I've been able to comfortable sit like that. I'm beyond thrilled with having such success from my first visit!

I couldn't see the doctor until I spoke with the office manager. She took 30 minutes to get to me as she was doing that treatment on some guy who said, "I really don't notice a difference when I leave" and then they chatted for about 10 minutes at the front desk. THEN she went in her office and eventually came to where I was to go over every possible way I'd have to pay if insurance didn't. I actually stood my ground for a change and kept reiterating that I wanted nothing that wasn't covered. They kept insisting it was a "Consultation" and used that machine on me anyway. The doctor did nothing except have me turn my head and poke on my back. He did tell the woman at the front desk as I was leaving that would be $79. The office manager did say they were going to put it through insurance first. Of course she also told me they were going to have to take a loss on my visit. Not. My. Problem. I feel as though it's kind of a scam. It's a "fancy" name and it's actually in an old house that's up for sale. I was supposed to go back the next day with my MRI disc and decided they were only going to find a way to try and charge me more than I should have to pay for a basic visit. Go if you want, but don't say you weren't warned.

After months of regular visits, I found out certain services weren't covered by my insurance -- something no one ever told me upfront. I only found out because the billing person casually mentioned it one day. There was no heads-up that I'd be back-billed for past visits, which came as a complete surprise. Even after I asked to stick with adjustments only, I was still charged for those uncovered services -- and when I questioned it, I was told to "call your insurance and maybe they'll reimburse you." That's not the kind of response you expect from a professional healthcare office. I really wanted to keep coming here, but the lack of transparency around billing makes it hard to trust the process.
