Settling an estate account is a difficult process, both emotionally and logistically, and the staff at Gadowsky were so helpful and supportive the entire way through. It was easy to schedule meetings, they were able to answer all my questions, and all the documents were completed quickly. They have an easy-to-use online portal, and were very clear about what documents I needed, and what the timelines for all the submissions would be. I was told that tax return for self employed individuals cost $80 when I booked my appointment over the phone.By the time they were done with me, I paid $145. Here's their explanation: $40 for personal tax return + $80 for self employed tax return + $20 for having transportation/vehicle expenses claim. Lucky for me, I did all my receipt and expenses calculations already, otherwise that would have cost me more. I was surprised they didnt start charging for every paper clip and staple they used to prep my tax return!! A bookeeper preps your paperwork, not an accountant. The accountant in the office DOES NOT check the paperwork prior to filing. Next time, I will just purchase a turbotax software and do it myself. Filing with Trehan Accounting office is a complete RIP OFF. PS. The google reviews I found online were written by their own office staff.
