It was raining this afternoon and evening when we went into this restaurant for dinner. We were turned away because it was fully booked. We went back to our hotel and realised it was the same restaurant servicing the bar of the hotel, offering the same menu. So we decided to eat there, along with other people who were also turned away at the restaurant. We were so hungry and asked for bread. They said they had NONE. We asked for the free bar snacks and that was the only time they offered it. Guess what? The bread came after ONE HOUR AND 10 MINUTES, then 5 minutes later, our main courses came! The other party beside us got their main courses ten minutes earlier and they were given bread AFTER they had almost finished eating. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. If they couldn't handle the volume of diners on a rainy night, they should've said so. Plus they should prioritise hotel guests as they are attached to the hotel. On the food, it was mediocre. I ordered the scampi and it was strange how there was one huge prawn that was unshelled and it lay under the pile of spaghetti so it couldn't have been a "centerpiece." The other prawns were smaller and shelled. Looks like I got a stray prawn that belonged to another dish! Btw we noticed that the waiter transported our food by walking from the restaurant, out to the street then into the hotel. And it was drizzling!!! read more
