From the very beginning of the interviewing of photographers for our wedding all the way through the on time delivery of the photo files, Tim & Caitlin always provided excellent service. When you sit down with perfect strangers the first time and feel as if they are old friends before you leave the table, you know it can only mean good things from there. Tim & Caitlin were wonderful and comfortable to work with. They are each professional and perfectly competent on their own, but when they work together, they shine even brighter. In writing this, and trying to find a balance to all the positive things we want to say, we could not think of a single thing that needed improvement or could have been done better. Oh, during the engagement photo shoot, I would have liked a second glass of wine, but I didn't ask, so I'll take the blame for that. Tim has a very artistic eye for the framing, composing & focusing to capture a moment. His approach is creative and laid back, quiet and focused (pun intended), and fun. Caitlin is also very creative and energetic, outwardly enthusiastic and acted as our own personal cheer leader especially when doing the posed/portrait style compositions. Caitlin kept us laughing and smiling the entire time-and for two people who don't like being the center of attention this was great. They came prepared with thoughts and suggestions of where to do our shoots based on what we'd previously told them about things we enjoy doing. They were also open to our requests and suggestions (or demands, ha!). They were comfortable and fun to work with so that we could be ourselves and not be self-conscious about the cameras during the engagement shoot and during the portrait sessions during the wedding. During the ceremony and the party they were very active but unobtrusive, always prepared to capture the unscripted moments that everyone enjoys during events like this. Not only were Tim & Caitlin wonderful to work with, the package of photos they delivered were amazing: wonderful colors, surprising smiles, fabulous framing, choice use of black & white, and a complete representation of the wedding day. From the moment wedding planning began, I knew that our photographer would be one of our primary and most important investments. When all is said and done, & life continues after the wedding day, aside from the amazing spouse you married, it's the photos that you'll look back on for the rest of your lives. I spent countless hours researching photographers and had committed to another but wasn't feeling 100% secure in that choice, I knew the look and feel of photos I wanted and wasn't finding exactly what I wanted... I thought we would have to settle for "good enough." Cue Gallivan Photo, I first stumbled on their wedding images in Wedventure magazine, but figured they must be well outside of our budget. Soon after, I began following them on Instagram which led me to their blog. I was so impressed by the wide range of emotion and ambience they captured while still having a consistent mood. We could not have been happier choosing Gallivan Photo as our wedding photographers. Tim and Caitlin really go above and beyond for their clients. We loved getting to know them at our engagement session, they made us feel at ease and made us look so great even though we felt so awkward having our pictures taken. My husband and I were referred to Tim and Caitlin by the photographer we were hoping to hire (a new Mum, unsure she'd be able to commit to our day). Living across the country from them and our venue, we met them via conference call and immediately felt at ease. It was clear they knew what they were doing and that they wanted to create a personalized experience for us. We did look at three or four other photographers but they all seemed a bit cookie cutterish for us and were far more expensive. On our big day, they were a breath of fresh air. They had a fun and funny dynamic that helped set a relaxed tone that enhanced our day. They were minimally invasive during the more intimate moments. They provided a sneak peek early on, a gorgeous slide show and then the full gallery before we expected it. The pictures are breathtaking and captured our day so well. We are over the moon and have received many compliments on them. Our only regret is that we didn't book them for longer. We didn't get photos for the latter part of the reception or when we were leaving and wish we would have. (Don't try to save cash when it comes to your photos.) Caitlin and Tim did our engagement photos out at the Painted Hills in Oregon, and they turned out AMAZING!! My fiancé and I aren't super comfortable in front of the camera, but they did such a fantastic job of making us feel comfortable and like ourselves that you couldn't see our awkwardness show through in the pictures AT ALL. We brought our pup (William), who is a member of the family, and he responded SO well to them! He is always overly hyper and hard to make stay for any picture at all, but somehow, Caitlin and Tim had the touch because William sat perfectly in our pictures. We could not have asked for a better engagement shoot! They were SUPER timely with getting us in their schedule, we are incredibly grateful and will definitely be looking into setting up a 'day after' shoot. read more

I researched for a while before I ended up booking Tim and Caitlin for our photos. I loved the style of their work and I am so happy I chose them to shoot our wedding! Heath and I are not used to taking pictures together in this way but Tim made it really comfortable during our engagement pictures. Our photos from our wedding and our engagement session as well are stunning - I had no idea how much I would love our photos! Tim and Caitlin are professional and so, so kind. They offered great recommendations for local vendors (we were coming from out of state) and were always willing to help and give advice heading up to the event. During the event they were prompt, on schedule, and clearly experts at what they do. We also received our gallery from the wedding in what must be record time! Tim did an amazing job! This was our first experience working with a professional photographer and we had so much fun.
