It's hard to put into words what an important part of our day Ely was. We hired Ely for our backpacking elopement on Broken Top and he more than rose to the occasion. My husband (!!) and I have never had professional photos done and are not incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. We found Ely in a sea of photographers across central coast wedding vendor boards, and were immediately impressed with his ability to capture the entirety of the weddings he had shot. After meeting him and getting to know him over the course of our wedding planning, we know that we couldn't have picked anyone better. Ely did a great job from day 1 of making us feel confident that he was taking care of everything. He traveled up to the SF bay area to shoot our engagement photos, and while the shoot took almost 2 hours, it wasn't because he was going slow. Ely took my step-son's weeding photos 2 years ago and they were amazing. The ceremony took place at a waterfall in Oregon and not only did Ely capture the bride and groom, he also captured the beautiful scenery. He is truly an artist and takes great pride in his work. There are not enough good things I can say about Ely Roberts Photography. He was very easy to work with and he produces beautiful wedding photos. I planned my entire wedding in 2 months, so everything was done on a quicker than normal time frame. Ely was more than willing to work with our schedule. The weeks leading up to my wedding, he communicated with us frequently to make sure I had all the information I needed (And being that I am a bit of a control freak, that was very important me). Where to begin? Ely Roberts is an absolutely phenomenal photographer. This review is for a 2 hour engagement session near Mt Bachelor and a full wedding session at Hood River/Mt Hood. My wife and I found Ely a couple years ago and immediately knew we would ask him to shoot our engagement pictures. We chose him based on the tone and layout of his pictures. And I don't know how else to describe it, but his photos portrayed a level of character that we didn't see in others. We were blown away with our engagement pics and immediately asked him to shoot our wedding the next year. Leading up to the wedding, Ely was attentive to our requests and ensured details were taken care of. On the day of the wedding, we could not have asked for a better guy to be with us throughout the day. I also cannot tell you how many unsolicited comments we received from family and friends about Ely. How many weddings have you been to where you're complimenting the bride or groom on their photographer? Think about it. Side note - Ely has an awesome side business, the "Bend Beerstream". He completely renovated an old Air Stream and converted it to a mobile bar (think food truck, but for alcohol). Check it out on his website! We really wanted to incorporate it with our wedding, but it did not work with our vendors. Because he was driving the Beerstream to a wedding near ours on the same weekend, Ely even volunteered to set it up at our rehearsal dinner the night before and man the bar - free of charge! My fiance and I were lucky enough to get in contact with Ely while we were looking for a photographer. From the beginning Ely was very easy to reach and quickly returned all of my emails and telephone calls. He knew the dates he had available, even before my fiance and I were ready to ask. So much Fun!!! We recently had our family photo's done with Ely and had a blast! There were no awkward moments of having a camera in your face. When we got our proofs back, we loved every shot!
