They have pottery, stickers, paintings, and prints. Each artist has a unique style and section of the store. Staff was very friendly and provided information about one of the artists who also worked at the store. The store is at the edge of Main Street, which is very convenient. I bought a gorgeous turquoise lizard brooch and took a brochure for the wind catchers outside to try to order later. My friend and I easily spent an hour inside roaming around looking at the gorgeous things inside - it's huge and has a back room down some stairs with even more furniture and decor. Staff were helpful and friendly and left us alone to wander around and take photos and look - not following us or being pushy and offering help only when needed or asked for. I appreciate that.

I was walking around Main Street in Moab and the little stone cairn replicas at Sandstone Gallery caught my eye. These trail markers are everywhere on the hiking trails at both national parks, so I thought that would be the perfect gift. They are just so cute. And on the bottom stone, the words "Moab, Utah" are stamped on. I checked out some other souvenir shops too, across the street, but I couldn't find mini sandstone cairns like the ones this shop carries. In addition to the cairns, they also sell mini sandstone arches, as well as some other shapes, and also just sandstones by themselves. I also liked the sandstone magnets that had the Native American rock art pictographs on them (I was really tempted to get a few of these!). In the back of the store is their sale section. And the customer service was awesome! The lady in the store was super nice. I asked her a bunch of questions about the little stone sculpture, like what kind of material it was made of. She included a piece of paper that said what the material was and where they get it from. And she wrapped up my purchase with bubble wrap. And they take credit card! I had a very pleasant and great shopping experience here! It's a great place to find a Moab/Arches/Canyonlands gift for someone or for yourself!

We stopped in to this store while vacationing in Moab in mid October. We found two very nice…read morepieces that we purchased but were discussing how we would safely get them back home as we were flying, The man running the store at the time was very kind and suggested that he ship the items to avoid any damage - during that discussion he offered to ship another purchase we had made at another store earlier that day. Two and half months later we STILL do not have the package! We've attempted to contact him on several occasions to no avail. The one time he did respond he indicated that the item had been returned because the zip code was wrong (unlikely since my husband filled out the shipping label). He said he'd get it back in the mail right away. After a couple more weeks of waiting and attempting to contact him, my husband called the Moab Chamber of Commerce to see if they could offer any help. The lady there said she would contact the owner of the store - but it's December 26 and we STILL have not received the package. WARNING to anyone who shops there....very nice things, but be sure to take it with you. Would've rated higher but this guy has been so unresponsive. Terrible customer service .

It's playful, retro, and totally captures the town's vibe--rugged, artistic, and a little wild. I picked up some cool rock mineral things and stopped at the Beer Garden to sample a nice 3.2% beer courtesy of Moab Brewery (it'd be like driving 20 Budweisers just to get a buzz, but at least it is tasty). There was live music, some drumming, and actors setting up to do a little Shakespeare in the park. Family and pet friendly affair (there's a community pool nearby, and a playground), lots of fun!

A small museum highlighting the history of Moab and the unique influence of uranium had on the…read moretown. Most of the exhibits were uranium related. There was minimal focus on the Settlers and the founding of the town. There was not much history telling daily life of the settlers before the uranium discovery. There was barely any mention of surrounding environment and the native Americans relationships to the settlers. Overall, it was a good way to spend an hour to an hour and a half. Admission price was $10 for adult and $8 for Senor. Free parking in front of the museum.

Aside from modern day Moab being a big tourist destination and jumping off point for adventures in places like Arches NP and Canyonlands NP I didn't know much about its origins so I was excited to visit the Moab Museum. The museum is one large room and while you can view the exhibits in any order I found it was best to start at the very beginning and work my way clockwise. The museum starts with the indigenous people who lived in modern day Moab and ends with Moab being central to two national parks and a recreation hub. Missionaries, fur trappers, cowboys, miners, adventurists and dinosaurs were all covered in between. My favorite exhibit was about William Grandstaff. The exhibit called "Tracing the Story of William Grandstaff" traces his roots from likely being enslaved in Virginia to becoming a Civil War era soldier, frontiersmen, pioneer, cowboy, miner and saloon manager in Utah and Colorado. I love when museums leave me wanting to know more and William Grandstaff is definitely someone who'd I'd like to learn more about. I'd also like to hike the trail named in his honor - the Grandstaff Trail in Grandstaff Canyon. One of the best features of the museum were historical pictures of the Moab area that you could scroll through on a tablet. The photos really helped me understand the history of Moab. Admission was $10 for an adult and I felt it was well worth it. The museum has a good bit of reading, some artifacts and a few interactive exhibits sprinkled in so some kids might be a little bored but I really enjoyed it. Kids 7 and under visit for free and students are $8.
