Daniel sketched the design after listening to what he wanted. He was patient and put his own twist on it. It came out better than we could imagine. Daniel took his time as well. It's the kind of shop that I walk into and all I can do is mumble, "I want that, and that, and that"! There are original paintings, ceramics, jewelry, books and cards, and an outside area of yard decor. On the day we were there, David Harris Lang was there. He's the author of three books that are sold here. They are fiction mystery thrillers based on places he lived and spent time in the Far East. We bought all three and walked away with three autographed books! So cool! This stretch of road on Los Rios across the railroad tracks in San Juan Capistrano is so charming. And The Cottage Gallery is just the kind of little shop you would expect to find here.

We went in on Labor Day to buy a mattress and showed them an online promotion that included two Cloud pillows and a mattress protector. The salesperson brought out Z pillows and presented them as a similar-quality option. At no point did he explain that the mattress supposedly already came with promotional pillows inside or that the Z pillows he showed us would NOT be included. And here's the worst part: I DID get everything in writing. I have the receipt. When the delivery arrived, they still refused to provide what was listed. I called the store while the delivery team was standing there, and instead of honoring the receipt I was given at purchase, Lynn refused to go by it and sent me an updated ticket instead. So my warning isn't just "get it in writing" I did, and they still didn't honor it. The entire experience left us feeling completely misled. If a customer can't even rely on the receipt they were given at the time of purchase, that's a serious problem. BUYER BEWARE. Keep copies of everything.
