Very nice selection of original art work by local artists. The display is very organized and beautiful to browse and enjoy. I particularly liked the oil paintings, which were priced from $100 to $1,000 based on size and artist. Customers are not allowed to take Photos of the paintings without the artist's permission, I am not able to share photos with you. Hand-made cards and jewelry were also for sale and very reasonably priced. I just love pearls and did see some that I really liked, but they did not have electronic payments available the weekend I went, it was cash only. Make note of this in case you want to make a purchase. I do believe the credit card system would be up and running soon. The first Saturday of every month is an art fair, next to the Lubrary. Annual membership is $60 and gets you free admission to the fair, non-menbers pay $10. Sign up for art demonstrations, classes or orher upcoming events on their website. Very nice little art gallery by the sea featuring local artists. They have paintings, jewelry, prints, cards and occasionally a quilt or sculpture or ceramics. Family friendly and run by volunteers. Stop by to browse or even buy something for the person who has everything! New show every 6 weeks, plus an annual plein air contest every June. Never a dull moment! read more

I stumbled upon this cute Art Center while strolling Avenida del Mar. They had a nice sign inviting everyone inside to check out the exhibit on view. Tempting, right? They had a nice exhibit with great art on display, some jewelry as well created by local talented people. They were for sale and prices were reasonable, so if you shop for artwork for your place, check out this art center for original paintings! Free to visit, nice building. Clean restrooms. Located in the heart of downtown San Clemente next to the public library, the San Clemente Art Gallery is a great place to browse for and buy original art created by local artists including oil, acrylic, watercolor and other media painters, and jewelers. The show changes about every six weeks so if you see something you like, buy it! It will probably be gone the next time you visit. Make this your local destination art gallery. We love this little Art Gallery! We love that San Clemente supports their local artists. We stop in every time we come up from San Diego to go to the Sunday Farmer's Market. I love beach towns. In the Gallery you will find original paintings, fine crafts (mostly jewelry), and an assortment of stationary (cards) from prints and also an assortment of larger prints, by the local artists. I always find cards I can place in small frames (for tiny spaces) and either keep for ourselves or give as gifts. I purchased one recently that looks to be an illustration/watercolor of the interior of an old car. It's done in pink tones. Beautiful. Almost all the art is for sale (now and then you will see a NFS tag on a painting). The volunteer at the gallery told us there were 8 shows a year, and 6 of them are juried. They also have painting demos and I was not aware of that (see what happens when you talk to the volunteer at the gallery?). If we lived here, I would definitely participate in their club. The gallery is located on the corner of Avenida Del Mar and North Calle Sevile in San Clemente (at the west end of the Farmer's Market). It is a non profit, volunteer, arts organization. It is cosponsored by the city of San Clemente. The gallery is open to the public and the admission is FREE. Free is always good. They also have an annual Art & Craft Fair, August I think... with booths on the big lawn in front of the Gallery. I want to catch next year's fair. read more

Stumbled upon this little joint while wandering about with my fam. It is small and clean. And naturally, very quiet. But the artwork from locals, adults and children is neat to see. Wish it had a bit more variety of work, but the location is set in a park like atmosphere at the end of main street in san clemente. Super fun way to spend the afternoon, roaming from store to store and stopping into one of the many great eating holes. read more

Wow, What a great place to buy art. Friendly and helpful staff. Nicely displayed and bright. Different subject matter and very reasonably priced. They have quilts, photography, jewelry and lots of different size paintings. It is a fun place to see art and they have a new show every 2 months. read more
