I need a new hot water tank again because it was installed improperly and all the wiring melted. I've had tenant after Tenant complain that there's no hot water ever since I got this brand new hot water tank, what a disaster and they don't even return my calls or text messages the first time I reached out about warranty his work he said he'd be there around 4 o'clock and never showed never called. When this guy gives you a time that he says he'll turn up, take it with a huge grain of salt. Good chance he'll be a no show. I Called him a week ago to schedule for him to replace my zone valve. He said he'd come by between 9 and 9.30 this morning. I drove up from Boulder to be here in Dillon this morning. Texted him last night to just check he was still good for timing. No response. 9.30 came and went. Called his phone several times, no response. And now it's impossible to get another plumber at such short notice. Don't risk it with this guy. This crew is simply stellar, regardless of mountain town or big city. Jamie and team quoted when they said they would and did the work when they said they would. They guided us through a serious plumbing renovation (in an old condo) with 2 shower valves and 10 shut off valves with a tub install in a small bathroom along with the dreaded full building shut down of water. I asked a Dillon local who he recommended for a plumber. The top of his list was Gallegos Plumbing & Mechanical of Dillon. I called and Jiame(the owner) promptly answered the phone-no answering machine, nice- he was willing to come out the next day to remove and replace two toilets and repair two leaking faucets. I wasn't able to meet him the next day and he asked what would work for me. I said Friday afternoon (keeping my fingers crossed) and he asked; "what time?" After getting back off the floor, we set an appointment for 1:00 pm. On Friday, Jiame and two assistants arrived right on time. The job took them 2.5 hours. The two toilets were installed, with new feed valves, and the faucets repaired perfectly. I say perfectly because the install was done quietly, efficiently and proper. The worksites were spotless before they left and...wait for it... The charge for parts and labor (not including the two toilets I bought myself) was under $350. Amazing because I thought it would be more because of the report area, which is usually 10-15% more than in the metro area. Jiame is a professional and knows his business, yet is not trying to hold his customers over a barrel. Not just perfect-Excellent! read more

Jaime installed a new heat system for us. He did that in a timely manner...a year and a half ago. We set up an appointment for him to come service and check out problems. No show, no call! His mailbox is always full. I can only leave text messages...he does not respond. Extremely unreliable. Now I have to find someone else. So incredibly disappointing! read more

Jaime picked up when I called for the first time (he didn't let it go to voicemail). He kept me in the loop via text of when he was finally able to check out my condo (the following afternoon). Quick inspection, actually figured out the cause of the issue that the previous plumbers could not, and was out of there with the problem finally resolved. I'll happily work with Jaime over any other plumber in the area - and I've worked with a few who clearly aren't as good at troubleshooting, who over-charge, or who never call back. I'd give this company 6 stars if I could. Here's the story. We were out of town and my brother came up to hang out in our condo. He called to say that, the pilot light was out on the water heater & he couldn't get it re-started. This was about noon on a Friday. (two days after Christmas. Sigh.) I called & left a pitiful message with Jaime, the owner of Gallego Mechanical. He called me back in a few minutes and then arranged to meet my brother at the condo. I specifically mentioned that since we were out of town, I'd be happy to give him our credit card number. Jaime said not to worry about that; he'd see what was up & we could figure out payment once he knew what it was going to cost. The water heater is in a terrible spot - in a small closet next to a washer/dryer. That sucker is almost impossible to get to. My brother said that Jaime pulled the washer/dryer out (we've done this; it's not easy) & then had no trouble lighting the pilot. We never did find out how much it cost - my brother was so embarrassed that he couldn't light the pilot, he paid Jaime himself. That said, it couldn't have been unreasonable or my brother, who's not shy, would've said something. I really appreciate that Jaime was willing to come out so fast on a Friday afternoon during a holiday week. Yes, I know that's what plumbers do, but he was just so pleasant and so fast. If we could give NO STAR...We were given Jaime Gallego's # from friends in the neighborhood a few yrs ago. 1st time he came was on time and addressed the issue quickly for a fair price. We had him out yearly to check the system .Last spring we learned that we had a leak in our heat system, & our boiler would need to be replaced before this winter. We found the system that was needing to be replaced and wanted to order it & have it shipped,(trying to save $$$) which, Jaime told us was fine with. After MONTHS of calls(starting in June - no answer, MB full) un-replied emails. We spoke with Jamie this morning..11/8/19. Jaime acted like he had no clue who we are, said HE had to get the parts up in Summit co. would not except a shipment, all for the bargain price of $14,000. "that's just the price, get somebody else if ya want" Had he told us that last Spring we would have lined up another plumber. Would NOT Recommend. read more

After seeing the yelp reviews here I thought I would be ok to hire them for an inspection punch list at a home in Breckenridge. We spoke, texted or emailed for a couple days to give him the necessary information and access information. His voicemail is always full so you cannot leave a voicemail message. Then he texted me the correct email and it still bounced. Maybe that should have raised a red flag. Was I surprised that he was a no call no show on the day the work was scheduled. He said he would start at 7:30am and did not call or show up all day. I had blocked out a good chunk of time in a two day period to hire contractors and meet people and felt I had it all under control, boy was I wrong. I would rate zero if an option, very irresponsible if this is how you do business. read more

Does not honor his warranty. Work was not done right, would not call back. I would not use him if he was the last plumber on earth.
