In addition, I received a quote to replace a valve on my ac system which was going to be quite expensive. Turns out Elite was correct and they fixed the problem. Company oversees with a lot of integrity and I highly recommend them.

These omissions expose my home to unnecessary risk of water damage and do not meet applicable plumbing code requirements. In addition, Elite Plumbing failed to obtain the required plumbing permit before performing the installation. As a homeowner, I relied on the company to perform the work in compliance with all applicable codes and permit requirements. I later learned that no permit had been obtained. After discovering these issues, I contacted the company and requested that they correct the deficiencies or provide a refund. I spoke with Ari, but my concerns were dismissed, and my request for a refund was refused. Despite giving the company the opportunity to resolve the matter, they have not done so. I hired Elite Plumbing with the expectation that the work would be completed professionally, safely, and in accordance with Michigan plumbing codes. Instead, I was left with an installation that failed to meet those standards and required additional time and expense to address.

I contacted 6 different paver companies to quote the job. Northern Brick was the only company that came out the day they promised. Dave Carter met with me and while here for the initial consult, he provided a very good explanation of the job that needed to be done and the process in which he would complete it. He left the quote with me that evening and surprisingly was the only company that followed up on their quote to me. He was also the only contractor who seemed honest and would stand by their work. A very good first impression. Dave requested no money down or payment until the job was complete. That also gave me piece of mind knowing that until things were fixed to my specification, that I wouldn't be required to make payment. My repair took about 2.5 days. In those two days the team from Northern Brick was very friendly and respectful of my family and our property. Each night when they left, they left everything immaculate. Upon returning each morning they also quietly got to work. One morning I didn't even know they had started it was so quiet! We have been very impressed with Dave Carter and his team from Northern Brick. Our pavers look awesome now and they even solved some drainage issues because of their passion to get it done right.

I'm moving this week and my fireplace stopped working,…read morethe buyer for my condo required it to be in working condition so I set about trying to find a place to call. A neighbor recommended this place, I called today and they were able to fit me in today as well. Mike showed up and was able to diagnose the problem, clean the fireplace and fix the problem, and was in and out of my house within an hour. The cost was $400, when I called on the phone they said costs usually started at $200, but this was fine by me because I believe he had to replace a part and do a bit more work to get the fireplace to work. They do take credit cards and there are no fees to use one, also. Based on this experience I would absolutely use Ace Fireplace again if I was having fireplace issues.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with McGlinch and Sons Co.! From our very first…read moreconversation to the completion of a major exterior transformation, this company exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Our project included replacing our wood siding with James Hardie siding, replacing our brick with Eldorado stacked stone, replacing our wood deck with Trex, and installing a new front door. The transformation of our home is incredible, and the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are exceptional. Our first contact was with Ross, our salesperson, and he immediately set the tone for the entire experience. Ross was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and--most importantly--there was absolutely no pressure. We never felt like we were being "sold" something. Instead, we felt like we were working with someone who genuinely wanted to help us make the right decisions for our home. Then there was Travis, our Project Manager, who was outstanding throughout the entire process. He was always available to answer our questions, kept us informed, and never once made us feel like we were a bother. No matter how many questions we had, Travis was patient, responsive, and incredibly helpful. What really impressed us, though, was the level of personal attention from the ownership. One of the owners, Ryan McGlinch, actually came out to our home himself to measure the door frame for our new front door. He then took the time to go through our entire project with me in detail. He knew exactly what we were having done, understood the details of the project, and made me feel as though I was his only customer. That level of personal involvement is remarkable and says a lot about the kind of company McGlinch and Sons Co. is. The finished product is beautiful, but just as important to us was the experience getting there. McGlinch and Sons Co. exceeded our expectations in every arena--from sales and communication to project management, craftsmanship, and ownership involvement. We absolutely love our new exterior and would recommend McGlinch and Sons Co. without hesitation. If you're looking for a company that stands behind its reputation, genuinely cares about its customers, and delivers an exceptional finished product, look no further. Five stars all the way!

The journey and process to get to agreement, then completion, painful too often. And completion of details difficult. Thus a C+, B- rating. I wish that I had all good things to say and writing this critique was unnecessary. Some of several aggravations. The roof was completed in a day by many Mexican immigrants. Project included installing roof vents. The vent tubes were not attached at the fans -- Despite assurances from the supervisor that it was definitely done. NO THEY WERE NOT. Thus required request and debate with the company for follow-up. Their service man came and said he completed. NO THEY WERE NOT. A year later, condensation formed on the ceiling. Requiring repeat call, visit. We received assurances that the third time they were now properly connected. This is the most basic of very important work. I do not understand. Not difficult to do - for someone with reasonable skills and honest effort. The siding took 3 months. The workers tried to complete a lot of work on the final day. They left the porch filthy and muddy. Final Hardie plank trim that was not properly painted by Hardie. Not done by McGlinch. Requiring me to paint. They did not properly reinstall flood lights. The contract agreement required increasing soffit ventilation. Despite following up 5 times, to my verification, completion unverified. Disappointing. It can be a challenging world. Our hope was a fourth generation company would have made things far easier and that we were in good hands, we could have relied on them and they were looking out for us. Their own quality assurance. Is that too much to ask.
