Her pulls were hesitant, making the experience more painful and stressful. She was also very messy with the wax. She got some on my dress and when I got home, there was large chunks of blue wax still on me. It was painful pulling it off myself. I was very disappointed with the visit. Whatever you do, do not see Ashley when you want a wax!

This was my first visit to BJ Grand Salon and Spa. I relocated to Springfield from Sacramento last…read moreyear and have been searching for a new "home" salon. Bella went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable! She exhibited incredible attention to detail and after one look at my inspo pic went straight to work and nailed it! She had her work cut out for her (I have long thick hair) but she worked efficiently and was so kind throughout the whole process. Bella is a master of color theory and was able to perfectly tone my brass to a beautiful cool tone ash. I am seriously impressed and so grateful for the upgrade Bella delivered!

I went in to get a haircut and decided to also get my eyebrows waxed too by Kaylee before I left…read morefor a spring break trip. The haircut was a typical haircut, nothing abnormal there; however, the eyebrow wax was a nightmare. Given I do have sensitive skin, this has never happened before. It was very painful. No lotion, aloe, or even rubbing was done after each wax pull, something that every waxer I have ever had has done before. I believe it helps sooth the pain and helps the burns not intensify. My face and eyebrows were red for DAYS! I had to try and cover it up with makeup, but then it started to try and heal by peeling over- yuck! Everyone was staring at it and asking what had happened- how embarassing, glasses couldn't even cover it. I do NOT reccomend getting your eyebrows waxed here unless you want your faced burned for a week straight.

I also went to her for a regular wash and style. I never had a hair dresser wash my hair and then put me under a hair dryer and then style with a curling iron. I believe this method of doing hair also contributed to my dry and frizzy hair. I guess she was too cheap to use moose and to lazy to use a blow dryer. I never received any services that were worth the money that I spent at KM Salon. I would not refer anyone to this hair salon.

Pros: Very Friendly people, customer service is awesome…read moreMassage therapists are very professional The price The aqua massager and chair massager included in the cost of the membership. The membership arrangement over all is a sound way to get regular massages. Cons: Availability (no weekends and closed from 12 to 2 pm daily) If you book your massage at 2:00 pm they don't open the doors until 2 so you don't actually get started until about 2:10. Massage therapists are new. Overall, not a bad experience but the lack of availability is what did me in. I may renew if they expand their hours.

The first time I saw this place, I was intrigued. I didn't have time to pop in, so I did the next best thing and visited the website. I looked over the home section to get the details and then entered the "events" page to find this: "Peace, Love and Sweat was created with a vision. We wanted a space where we could host, educate, and celebrate!" Funny you should say that...I know a certain someone planning a surprise 40th birthday. The owner was amazingly accommodating (poor Ann had to deal with me, my brother-in-law, and my mom)! The staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process (THANK YOU)! Party Details: 1.) 25-30 guests 2.) The front desk doubles as the food and beverage area. The owner allowed us to bring in catered food and our own sweet treats. 3.) Plenty of seating options: golden stools, velvety green couch, modern wicker chairs, glass and marble occasional tables, beautiful plants, etc. 4.) The space was cozy, nicely lit (chandeliers anyone?), and extraordinary clean! 5.) Amy, the owner's sis, was available on location during the party. She was available yet incognito so we could enjoy the party. Side note: She showed me a little place in their back room with where the kids could play. My daughter was the only kiddo, but she really loved that option! Clearly, I could go on! I did not go into much detail about the services they offer; as I figured it was more appropriate to do that on my own time and not party time. Nevertheless, I do know the health benefits are wonderful and there's a massage therapist in staff! Plus, if you're in the beauty/health industry, stop by because there could be an opportunity for you here too! Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your beautiful location with us!

I visited on a quiet Sunday morning and was very impressed with the clean aesthetic and attentive staff. Even though my reservation got lost in cyberspace the young lady at the front desk was able to free me in right away, explained the available options and benefits, she even helped me set up my Bluetooth so I could listen to my sound bath tunes. The vibes from beginning to end were immaculate! Highly recommend. Especially for those of us who are transplants to Illinois. If you're seeking a warm, rejuvenating safe space you should definitely check out Peace, Love and Sweat!!!

Thank you so much Chiffonia White!
