Underwhelming, Bland and Slapped on. $16 for Wet Bland chicken $7 for store bought hummus $15 Waffles where it was soggy before it even hit our table. The Prices are strange especially for an over the counter food experience, prices don't justify the service or quality. I'm just left wondering did i pay for a seat at this point. The food was very Bland Chicken isn't marinated well or enough, the portion of chicken was small mostly bones thankfully I wasn't over cooked. Rice was SOO oily, the long grain rice was over cooked, although it looks flavorful it was mushy and had no seasoning. Vegetables were pretty atrocious, carrots aren't cooked while somehow bell peppers were overcooked. I don't think they try their own food before sending it out. As usual very oily with no seasoning. Hummus tasted store bought, grainy and overall boring. Pita was nicely toasted but the AC was on so high it was cold in a matter of seconds. The waffle was confusing, the waffle was thin, topped with 3 scoops of ice cream it started pooling very quickly. We also couldn't taste any waffle because all the other flavors are so strong. I honestly can't find a way to mess up a waffle but it was clear they somehow did. Overall we saw maybe 3 customers come during dinner time, I think our first impression was their last simply because they rank below food court food in our opinion.

1/2 chicken with rice

Was looking for new places to try in Oakville and went with 2 of mu friends here we tried the 1/2 chicken with a side of rice and fries with chicken strips. The sauce which came with the chicken and peri mayo were really good. The chicken was okay not great but I wouldn't mind it. The rice was really bland which practically had no taste other than the taste of turmeric. The fries were really good with seasoning and the strips were were quite disappointing. Over all goof for a one time try or so but thats about it.

Ordered the Family Meal: whole South African grilled chicken with 2 large sides, Peri rice and Peri Roasted Veggies ($1 extra). Came with 4 garlic sticks and super flavourful hot sauces on the side. Chicken was a bit charred but fully cooked which is the key for me and should be for you. The Peri rice was okay, but definitely get the Peri roasted veggies. Ordered ahead due to COVID restrictions and the order was ready on time. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend you try.

This was our first 'patio' stop when things opened up post-lockdown. We got the Whole Chicken Meal ($30.99 + tax) which was one whole chicken with 4 garlic sticks and a choice of either 2 regular sides or 1 large side. We got the Peri fries and Coleslaw with the chicken in mild heat. The quantity of food for the price was just appropriate for 2 people. We sat outside in the make-shift patio. I wish they had those big umbrellas on the tables since it was pretty hot that day. Moreover, our food basically came in a takeout bag packed with paper plates and plastic utensils. So it's not really a dine in patio situation and is more of a eating your take out outside the restaurant. Our napkins and paper plates were flying away everywhere so that was not fun. Other than that, the food itself was good. I wish the chicken had a little more sauce in it, but other than that, the coleslaw and the fries were really good..

Just like Nando's chicken but the rice is much better and larger. But priced the same.

I would give this place a ~3.5 stars~ I have been ignoring this place as I always thought it was same as Nandos. After trying the food at a yelp Elite event, I thought to give it a try. The place is very good, they have good size seating area with many comfortable couch booths. This has a similar concept as Nandos and Mesh which is self server. You will have to order at the front and get your own cutlery, plates and sauces from the side booths. They do bring the food to your table. The food came out quick and was nice and hot. We ordered a Whole Chicken meal (1 chicken, 1 large side & 2 garlic sticks), an extra large side and Galito's signature steak sandwich. The chicken was done well and was not burnt but need more sauce on it when being grilled. As for the sides we tried Peri Rice which was quite good, and Peri Roasted Potatoes these were mini round potatoes and were good but need more sauce. The Steak sandwich was very good as you could feel the meat and egg. The steak was cooked well and for the side I had Coleslaw which was not too sweet. Their sauces taste very different and are very good. That was the highlight of the meal here. For my halal eaters, I talked with the owner at the event and he stated they serve zabiha by hand halal meat. Over all the decent food better than Nandos (as they have very similar type and style) and cant compare to Mesh as they do a thing differently.

There's supposed to be one opening up in Milton, but we couldn't wait for then, so we went to this Mississauga location. I would compare this place to Nandos for sure, but the service was much better at Galitos. The two of us ordered a full chicken with two medium sides instead of 1 large side (same price). It was delicious, and I enjoyed it with the hot and garlic sauce mixed together. The sides were alright. We got fries and Peri roasted potatoes. The potatoes got cold quick unfortunately so we didn't end up eat them all. Overall, this place had delicious chicken, and I would definitely go again!

Lunch special: Quarter chicken (hot peri-peri) with rice. Peri-peri fries on the side.

This is another one of those restaurants that I've passed by many times and finally decided to take a look at. Galito's is a small chain of Portuguese-style peri-peri chicken outlets similar to Nando's. I've tried peri-peri chicken a number of times from different places, so I thought I would see how good this place is. Overall, it's a good place, especially if you're looking for a halal establishment (which fortunately this place is if you're a Muslim diner). Like Nando's (and Sizzlo's, which I've also tried), you have a choice of dinners and a choice of how hot and spicy you want it. There's a decent choice of sides. I went on a Friday afternoon, when it was not too busy but not quiet either, so I would imagine that it could get pretty busy during the peak times. Based on the food, I can see why. The food is cooked well, the service is good (you order at the counter but a server brings you your order), and the price is reasonable. One person can have lunch for less than $15. There are a number of good peri-peri chicken places out there now, but if you're in the area, Galito's is a good option.

Which I couldn't understand because this place is literally a few minutes drive from my place. But one afternoon I decided to stop being lazy and go there myself and order. I'll never order SkipTheDishes again. My husband and kids LOVE the steak and onion sandwich with their spicy olives. Yes, my 3 year old daughter and my 15 month old son loves their spicy olives! I can't comprehend that myself but hey, they like what they like lol I absolutely love their homemade Sopresatta and their Veal Parm. I have had many from all kinds of different places but nothing beats this places' Sopresatta. Homemade and fresh is always worth every penny, especially when your own kids are enjoying it. I must say, kids don't lie when it comes to food. It's either you like or you hate. There is no in between. Love their welcoming and inviting demeanours. Will stand by this place and support 100% Keep up the great work you guys are doing.

Hello fellow foodies I got an amazing review for you today..I just love italian veal sandwiches…read more, definitely my favorite type sandwich and I have tried them from most places in the GTA . I was told by a family member to try out Cosimos deli veal , so i was in the area so decided to stop in and try out there italian veal sandwich. This italian deli is tucked away in a small plaza on the north side of dundas just past Mavis rd ..its almost easy to not see this deli but look for the yellow sign on the end of building . It's an amazing elderly italian couple that runs the place , she does the cooking and he works along side in deli with her serving these marvelous veal sandwiches. They remind me of my grandparents just amazing people with love for there food and for there customers. So friendly so amazing. Food 5/5 let's just start by saying if I could rate it higher then 5 I would it's just that good . First of all it dosnt get more authentic as far a italian veal goes. The bread is the real italian deal , not like the kinda buns you get at Californias , this is real italian loaf crunchy crust on outside and soft on inside, home made style just like mama makes. The veal was tender perfectly cooked not greasy so flavorful I couldn't believe how great the veal tasted with a nice coating of there homemade tomato sauce , I have to say the sauce was just incredible . Topped with there perfectly seasoned grilled onions green peppers and a few hot peppers in an olive oil base that soaked so nicely into that amazing bread . He also sliced two fresh slices from a big block of provolone cheese , and heated up sandwich in oven to melt the cheese . This is now by far the best best veal sandwich I have ever had and I now have my goto place for italian veal sandwiches. The veal was $10 but to be honest I would gladly pay $20 for this sandwich it's just that good people. My pictures speak for themselves as you can see. Service 5/5 again if I could give the service rating for this place more then 5/5 rating it totally deserves it. The elderly couple that run this place are genuinely so nice and you can see how much passion and love goes into there food and customer satisfaction..The man even offered me an espresso while I was waiting for my sandwich . I dosnt get any nicer then that ..please get to this place and support this couple and deli they are top notch . Try them out and enjoy the best veal in town by far

The place was far from crowded when we showed up, and we were told to check out the menus and place our order at the front. We decided to share the House Special Sandwich ("Pork loin marinated with house special recipe, tomato, fried egg, cabbage and peanut butter") and the Malaysian Street Style sandwich ("4oz ground beef with a taste of M'sian spice, tomato, fried egg, lettuce and sweet & spicy sauce"). (I also got a milk tea to drink, and it was really good. Very rich but not too sweet.) The sandwiches were both excellent. They were packed with flavor and the various components all worked really well together. The Malaysian Street Style did flirt with being just a little too sweet, but it was balanced out with the other components. Everything was decently priced, too. The bill, with tip, came out to around 25 bucks, which is great considering the quantity and caliber of food we were given.

Finally! Jimmy Johns is in Ontario, and it's in my neighborhood, too sweet!…read more My first exposure to Jimmy Johns was when i got sent to Minneapolis St Paul (USA) and Jimmy Johns was across the street from my hotel. Came here on a super rainy day and was instantly annoyed with the layout of the restaurant in comparison to the parking lot, I feel like them retrofitting into this space, really didn't do them any favors, when I trekked through grass and mud to get to the door, I realized I parked on the wrong side of the building, even worse as you only have a walk way for one side? We finally got into the restaurant, and out of the rain and instantly the smell brought me back to both visits at MSP. a lot has changed in my diet where 80% of the menu I can't enjoy anymore. they also offer a toasted subs now, and I got one of the few items that wasn't available for this option, of course! Service was great, order was placed and we were in and out in ten minutes or so. The bread is absolutely killer, took me back to seven years ago, in MSP crazy good flavor and freshness for a throw back The parking lot is a huge negative for this spot, and warrants me not making this a five/five situation. being across from the mall, plus Home Depot/Wal-Mart and a bunch of smaller stores and restaurants in the mix, to get in and out of this section is nuts, and much like this super rainy night, not a lot of dedicated parking for Jimmy Johns Definitely an experience everyone should try, wish it was in the mall instead will be back!
