Gym owner definitely has some issues. I am working out and he starts yelling at me in a rage "just…read moreleave" and says you're grunting when you're lifting weights. I said if this is a problem why wouldn't you just come over and say some thing. I was shocked thinking what did thinking it was a joke at first. While another member sat there looking in shock. Pretty unprofessional business owner.

This gym is great, the owner is super cool and we've become friends since I became a member 7 years…read moreago moving here from out of town. I want to address the one star rating though which is absolutely retaliatory for a situation that could've been avoided very easily. I've been training for over 30 years and have seen everything in gyms. The amount of noise this individual that left one star was making though was comical to say the least. The fact that he would tell on himself with his review instead of just taking the "L" is perplexing though. Let me tell a little story. I literally was training delts one day with my heavy set being 90lb dumbell presses for 6 reps while noticing this individual staring at me in the mirror. That's not a big deal at all and I didn't think anything of it at first. Then after my heavy set, this guy proceeded to pose in the mirror standing right next to me hitting side chest poses and front lat spreads as if to compare physiques while watching my reaction. I almost laughed out loud. He would then literally grunt extremely loud and make Ronnie Coleman-like noises from those 2000s videos while doing warm up sets like 135lb squats. I've witnessed this guy behave this way multiple times and personally never said anything to the owner because I thought it was funny actually. Apparently others in the gym didn't care for it. This individual had several months to change his behavior and chose not to. Everyone in this gym knows everybody else and I've made multiple friends just from training at the same time with them. It's a small gym and requires the tiniest amount of gym ettiquette. Nobody cares about noise in there when it's appropriate, and sipping water or squatting 135lbs are not those times. Grunting extremely loud while lifting wasn't only what was happening. It was all of the inbetween sets noise and weird behavior that got on people's nerves and the grunting while lifting small was just the cherry on top. Anyway, the one star rating is from a person that just couldn't come in and be cool. If you get kicked out of a gym that's owned by a former Michigan Strong Man competitor that lifts very heavy, makes noise, and will help you lift the best you can, you should rethink your gym behavior.
