TNA WRESTLING!
Daniel M.

The event was super cool! Parking was across the street. Not too bad or confusing. Getting into the venue was easy but actually getting to the ground level for our seats was a pain in the ass! About 5-6 workers kept telling me to go to another worker to get let down to the ground level seats. After walking back and worth, and talking to close to 10 different employees, I finally was able to get to my seats. It was so ridiculous how hard it was to get to my seats. One of the workers told me I can literally sit anywhere in the venue. Why would I want to do that if I have specific seats that I bought? She literally kept only telling me that and that was the only thing she was told by her management. That's just idiotic through and through. Beyond stupid.

Good seats!!

Went to Galen Center to see the USC/UCLA women's basketball game last night. It was the hottest ticket in town. My sister and I had really good seats, the atmosphere was electric, the crowd was into it and the Galen Center was rocking! It was a great game. It was nice to see these incredible athletes in person. Love Lauren Betts! Love JuJu Watkins (who carried her team)! Love KiKi Rice! So many celebrities, professional athletes and rock stars in the crowd last night - I thought I was at a Lakers game! I like the Galen Center - it's super easy to get to on the E line, its clean, lots of food options, nice and helpful ushers. I feel like its bigger than Pauley Pavilion and like Pauley, there's not a bad seat in the house. Although I hated the outcome of last night's game, I had a good time, am glad I got to go and see a good, competitive game.

Horrible security! I came right on time to see my college Cal battle USC and once getting past the line was told I had to check my bag which in a completely different MF building with a crazy slow line. I ended up missing the first quarter. The food was garbage. My friend ordered the nacho supreme and when I think supreme I think tomatoes sour cream guacamole no no no we're talking Costco tortilla chips the round ones that if you were to throw at someone's face could probably cause a laceration with nacho cheese and a little bit of cilantro and chicken. Quite laughable actually. Once inside, I had a great time! Saw my cousin play for Cal, great time being Cal Alumni! Cal Alumni and fans were DEEP, and I recall this night feeling proud, Similarly like going to ram stadium when they're playing the 49ers and you look around if you see the whole stadium is red and not blue... Yeah like that Posted from a review draft. This review is from 2020.

Love going to my alma mater to watch basketball games. Nice arena with comfortable seating. Any seat gives you a good view of the court!

This bag was deemed too large to bring into the Galen Center.

I've been there a few times, but not during the pandemic. We went to a volleyball game last Saturday. I'd advise you to purchase your tickets online. It will save you $5 on each ticket. They shake you down hard for your ID when you pay with a credit card, so be sure you have it. I haven't been asked for an ID along with my credit card in well over a decade. Still, no biggie, but it does slow things down considerably. After that, we started to go in but we were required to present our COVID vaccine cards. My friend left hers in the car. We had to go all the way back to the parking lot to get it. When we got back, they said here tiny little pack was too big (see picture) so we had to go back to the parking lot again and leave it in the car. We missed the entire first set. They should be more upfront about their expectations to avoid these kinds of delays. We should have been told when purchasing tickets about proof of COVID vaccination and their bag policy. What could have been a really fun evening was marred by bad communication. The entire match only lasted an hour and fifteen minutes. We were there for less than 40 minutes. What a waste of time and money.

Perfect size basketball arena with rare comfortable seats...USC basketball is the BEST bargain in sports...the Galen is easy to find parking...has a great a sports bar next door to grab a pre-game beer...and is quick and easy to leave after the game...We go to 6-8 games a year and we love it!!!

Enjoyed a USC basketball game with family last night. We found a parking garage close by for $10 too! Nice arena and we had decent seats, snack bars and restrooms close by. Nice and loud! Fun night! We lost, but still had a great time.

$10 beer...: they dump the can in a cup. This is the full beer!!!

Came for game 3 of the WNBA Championship (GO SPARKS!)... when you're a WNBA team you just play where ever you can I suppose so instead of the usual Staples Center, the game was at Galen. If you don't know the area well (and I don't), it's tough to find parking. The neighborhood is very congested and it isn't a typical sports venue like Staples with lots of off site parking options and signs directing you to parking lots. We only managed to find ONE parking structure, a school garage, and it was $20 to park. Whatever... there didn't appear to be any other options. I'm sure there are other parking choices but we just didn't see any and again, it's not easy - so budget in a lot of time if you're not familiar with this hood. The stadium is old and old fashioned. To get to upper levels your choices are a couple of very small elevators or a large flight of stairs. Seats are tightly packed and very uncomfortable. My armrest kept falling off. You are going to get to know your neighbors because they're pretty much sitting on top of you. Bathrooms are too small - especially women's - again as an older structure they didn't get the memo about women just needing more stalls. There are concessions. Standard stadium stands offer hot dogs (not bad actually), pizza (awful), popcorn (also awful) and nachos. You can get beer. I paid $10 for a can of Corona, which they are required to pour in a plastic cup. No problem. But then they hand you a 2/3 full plastic cup. It's a sad moment for everyone involved. No words were spoken. We all just looked sadly at that tiny little beer. And I handed over my money. Other food stands around the stadium offer tacos, cotton candy, pretzels, draft beers and cocktails. Prices are what you'd expect to pay at a sporting event. This is NOT a vegetarian's paradise... only thing my SO could eat was that awful pizza and equally bad popcorn. Taking food to your seat is a bad idea anyway because there is so little room to move. If you're going to eat something, do it before you sit down. SPARKS WON and that made the two hours of being uncomfortable worth it. Getting out of the parking garage wasn't too bad since parking is paid when you enter. I'd really only go to an event at Galen Center if it was a show that I just HAD to see. And I'd just prepare myself for being uncomfortable.

This place is not that bad. I went here to see a concert. The prices were good. It's pretty big, but not big enough so that you can barely see what's going on onstage. The seats are okay. Although,we all had had feet up on the chairs in front of us. If I had to have it on the floor, it may have been a little uncomfortable. There are 2 nearby structures to park here. And it was pretty easy to find parking, even after showing up 2 minutes before the concert was to start. Also, most of the people who went to the event were USC students... so after the concert, they just walked home. I thought that getting out of the Galen Center, and getting out of the parking would be a hassle, because it usually is for things like this, but it was not that bad at all. It probably took only 15 minutes total to do both. And there wasn't traffic for us getting onto the freeway from the campus. Also.. No outside food or beverage are allowed inside. I think only unopened bottles of water are.

Eliza J.

Thank you Mr. Louis and Mrs. Helene Galen for USC Galen Center. What a sports complex! It's a multipurpose athletic arena that serves USC, the community and so many others with great sporting events. Thank you for supporting LAFD/LAPD community events.

I came here for the first time to watch a hoops game. Easy to park for $12 and easy to find beers and food close by. It's a beautiful building with good sight lines. Bummed they would not even upon up the curtain to see out that iconic window. Geez, maybe just at halftime? Is it that hard? Soft cloth seats, long lines at the restrooms, decent food options.

My most recent visits here were for the Clippers' open practice and for my graduation. As always, this facility is clean and comfortable. The people that work here are nice and courteous. The lighting is great and it is all that you would expect from a professional sports arena. Parking: It's best to park at one of the parking structures (i'd suggest the one at radisson or the one a little further at fig and exposition

I want to start off with the staff, they are all so helpful and welcoming. I felt so comfortable as soon as I walked in the entrance. Very clean and well organized. Definitely recommend coming to a game. They have a great variety of food and snacks to choose from. I definitely had a great time here. Thank you USC staff!

Ever since LAFC signed Son Heung-min in 2025, I've been itching to see him live [had tried to see him when he played at Tottenham, but failed miserably]. So when saw that tickets in the center upper deck were hovering around $100 on Stubhub, jumped at the chance to go with my wife and my daughter's in-laws (who live closer by). The game ended up being very uncompetitive, but was looking for Sonny to break his goal-less streak to start the season. Alas, he did not, but he had four assists (career high for a game) and contributed to the first goal, a 'own goal' by Orlando City, where he was the last LAFC player to touch it. What a sight! It is located in Exposition Park, so can take either of the 'E' line Metro stops, servicing the area. It's a bit of a walk so need to give it time. We arrived exactly at the 18:30 start time, enough to see the National Anthem (singer was quite good). The match started a little after that, and with our section facing the west, the setting sun during the early part of the game was beautiful, especially against the backdrop of the west part of the stadium. I had gotten seats in Section 213, which is upper deck and row Q wasn't that far back for that section. (seating began at K, all the way to Z, and then AA - DD). The sightlines were great...as long as nobody was standing up in front of you, one could see all four corners of the playing surface. To the right of us, was the the LAFC supporters section, the '3252' (capacity). That area is standing room only, and was the source of constant (not periodic, but constant) chants throughout the game. It was addicting to listen to, and my wife found the webpage that had the words to the various chants, so we sometimes chanted along. The surface uses 95/5 Real grass/synthetic blend there was constant watering during halftime. Six goals were scored this day, so there was plenty of cheering, high-fives, and bouncing up and down throughout the match (mostly in the first half). The stadium was more than 1/2 - 2/3 full at the start of the match, but cleared out quite a lot early in the 2nd half once Son was subbed out. We stayed for the entire bit, since getting out by car wasn't an issue. It took a bit of time to walk back to the Expo/Vermont Metro station, but surprisingly, the East bound train wasn't full. Enjoyed it so much that got two more ticket 4-packs for later this year. Have used Stubhub for most of the ticket purchases in the past, but just used TickPick and the prices seem to more competitive. Anyway you purchase, the tickets end up on the ticketmaster app to display for entry.

Unsanitary! Wait til the end:…read moreThere's definitely nothing "Lexus" about this establishment. Came here yesterday, for the Lakers final game of the season, and was invited to the buffet. Even though it was free, it was awful. Beef short ribs were plain and not braised completely, chewy. The sauce was unexplainable. The Mac salad had ridiculously huge chunks of pineapple in it which did not make sense. The " chow mein" had flecks of spam and some disgusting vinegary sauce. Huli-Huli chicken was a definite insult to the traditional Hawaiian dish. Caesar salad was wet and runny. Furikake potatoes made no sense. The cod was awful, rubbery and not good. BUT the charcuterie: prosciutto, Mortadella(bologna), and salami was delicious/but all three were cut too thick. Bad for food cost . Eat the stadium food instead. Better. A lot better. When you arrive, the buffet has no tables. There is a plate they bring to you. And apparently they exchange as you go back. NOT: We, actually my friends and other patrons, were returning to the buffet with the same dirty plates multiple times. And anyone in food service knows this is against Ca. Food regulations! Nothing special to offer but relaxation and chill. Cool ambiance, reminds me of the roaring 40s theme. Old school but modern. Great view of LA Live from the outside seating area. I've seen the likes of Gustavo Dudamel, Joshua Bell, Mariah Carey, Deadmau5, Harry Connick Jr., and the LA Philharmonic here, and every concert felt completely different from the next, some more peaceful and elegant, others far more chaotic. The classical music concerts were definitely my favorite experiences overall. They were less crowded, more relaxed, and honestly just felt more immersive. Parking also seemed cheaper during those events. Concerts like Mariah Carey's Christmas special, however, were packed. The atmosphere was louder, more hectic, parking was significantly more expensive, and unfortunately there were quite a few people who seemed more interested in filming themselves for social media than actually enjoying the performance. As for parking: LISTEN UP! Plan ahead. I usually park farther away near the Dolby Theatre area because it was cheaper ($10-$15), though it does require a lot more walking and cheap parking isn't always guaranteed. Other times, if I simply wasn't in the mood to suffer the walk uphill and feel my thighs burning, I paid the extra $40 for closer parking. Worth it some nights tbh. The walk up to the Bowl can be rough because of the incline, especially if your seats are toward the back, but thankfully there are escalators throughout the venue. Comfortable shoes are a must!! Bring an extra pair in case you want to wear your dressy shoes. I'd also recommend bringing extra money for food and drinks because prices are definitely steep. Personally, I usually either eat beforehand or just a budget for snacks there. During the classical concerts, I'd get charcuterie-style snacks and sparkling rosé from the marketplace near the restrooms, which made the evenings feel even more magical. One very important warning: if you're attending a massive concert like Mariah Carey's Christmas special, prepare yourself mentally for the traffic afterward because it is absolutely brutal. My husband and I actually left 2-3 songs early just to avoid sitting in traffic for eternity, and I don't regret it (i simply regret not seeing Mariah sing the legendary All I Want For Christmas song Live) Despite the crowds and occasional chaos, the Hollywood Bowl is still one of the most iconic experiences in Southern California and somewhere I look forward to revisiting for years to come especially once my son is older enough to experience it with us. Do go at least once in your lifetime!

Welcome to Uniqlo Field (?!?) at Dodger Stadium. It's the best of parks, it's the worst of parks…read more An older stadium that's maintained its cool retro vibe, IF you can afford it and IF you can get to it. Background Attended a May Friday evening game, Dodgers vs. Braves. Great SoCal weather, sunny with temps in mid- to low 60's. Sat on lower tier first base side roughly ten rows up from the field. Dodgers prevailed, 3-1. Stadium I love the hexagonal scoreboards and signs in the outfield, so very vintage in appearance. The organ plays throughout, reminiscent of games I saw as a child. And the short zagged blue roof and palm trees nestled within Chavez Ravine are iconic. Great viewing throughout the park. The stadium is packed, the fans and the sound system are loud, lots of fun. But what's the opposite of easy access to a ballpark? Chaos!! As with all of LA, if you want to get someplace you gotta drive and you gotta leave early. VERY early, it was a Friday evening game, so the traffic to the park combined with TGIF rush-hour led to a total carmageddon. Plus it was a bobblehead giveaway night, we always arrive early to games but this night, so did everyone else. And then there's the parking. We took an Uber but our friends drove.to the game. It took them an hour to depart - from the parking lot! This is also, by far, the most expensive game we've attended. Nearly double that of the next costliest. I mean, wow. I don't know how a family with children manages to go. And yet, the stadium was packed. Supply and demand reigns, I guess. Food Lots of selections, including of course, Dodger Dogs and Micheladas. The dog is delicious, pricey but tasty. Our friends had the fried octopus balls. What's Unusual Shohei Ohtani's walk-up song is "I'm Feelin'' Good" by Michael Bublé. BWAHAHA. Classic. I love it. Summary Nice place, would help to live next door and be independently wealthy.

The drinks are tastefully mix and you feel right at home. I was expecting my pretzel bites to be stale as most bars with food aren't that great but they were soft and salted. They consistently check your tables to check on you and remove finished drinks and empty dishes. PARKING was soooo easy to find. Right beside it there's a parking garage and the charge was $10 for a Friday night. I love this place and I can't wait to go again

I came here with a friend around 11:30pm on a Saturday night. We came looking to play billiards,…read moreand boy did we have fun!! We got on the waitlist for billiards and were able to start playing immediately. It was $20 for one hour and we played for two hours. The drinks were wonderful, my friend and I shared a purple ube cocktail and a fresh lemony gin cocktail. I can't remember what they were called but they were so tasty that we ordered a second round. The live music also made everything so special. The performers were absolutely incredible. It was a little bit crowded in there, which would be fine if people didn't keep crowding standing around where they shouldn't be. Last call for drinks was 1:30am, and I think last call for food was 12:30am. At 1:30 we were told to move away from the games area and go upstairs. Everythung was great until I heard a bartender say that me and my friend were overstaying our welcome ... it was barely 1:45 and we were finishing our drinks. That was rude... After that we were told we still had 5mins. I guess we'll leave early next time. It was just rude to see bartenders point at us and loudly say we weren't welcome ...
