Bought all my outdoor appliances, pool chair and fire pit chairs at Galaxy. I love the selection of stuff they sell and even lots of accessories. They have these really cool custom tiled Kamado Grills. So I had to get one of those too. I mostly worked with Bruce and he was great with a massive amount of knowledge and expertise in the business. His advice helped keep my project from going sideways which has very much appriciated. He is a real straight shooter which I prefer in all of life. The prices were in line with the market so I felt good about that too. Big showroom and easy access. The hardest part these days is the factorys having enough product in stock. I know Galaxy struggles with that just like many other home product businesses since Covid. My experience was bad. I can't bring myself to relive the experience by detailing it in detail in this review. My installation was delayed for months based upon "supply chain issues". Then when we ran short on materials the owner blamed it on me not spending enough, rather than accepting responsibility for the measurements that he personally performed. Also, we had to do a lot of coordination of the subcontractors used by Galaxy. However, the end product turned out well, but it wasn't worth the stress. read more

I started out loving everything that they carry. Their showroom is large and very nice. Their customer service is horrific. "That's not my job" is an everyday thing heard by disgruntled customers. This is a "pass the buck" company from the top down or maybe from the bottom up? It doesn't matter, the net/net is you better realize that you must read the small print here and know that, like a typical Vegas business, it's all about who you know. If you know and like the owner you get treated as such. If you don't you won't. The employees there cannot really try to help you unless you were that individuals actual customer. There is no real synergistic team at all there. It's all about you and the one that you initially spoke with upon calling or entering the store. My review could be much more telling and if you want details I'll provide them privately. Bottom line: I went to work for Galaxy and was sincerely excited about going in every day and learning all that there is to learn. I was really ramping up my sales having just booked my largest outdoor kitchen project which was a customer from Tucson, AZ. I negotiated a great win/win deal for both Galaxy and this customer. $30,000 deal and a couple days after I booked this well after I'd spent many hours on their layout and design drawing to get it exactly as the customer wanted it, I was inexplicably let go by the owner. I was told I'd be paid on all the business I had booked and that was in the works once all the deals finalized, meaning the last portion of the overall bill was as paid by the customer, which is what my employment contract called for, but..... it's now been a year since this and the owner of this business has not held up his end and I have yet to receive a dime of the many thousand dollars I am owed. Hell, he didn't even make me whole on all the in home design service I traveled to conduct in my vehicle using my gas and paying my own insurance. If the owner of this place can screw over an enthusiastic loyal employee that worked on straight commission with zero other wages or benefits then how quickly do you think he'll screw you over at his first opportunity to do so. Steer clear because I've discovered other outdoor kitchen businesses here in Vegas where you are treated right and that don't pass the buck blaming others for everything. If I could give them a negative 5 stars star i would. Galaxy does carry Great products, but they are too high priced with a lot of over-promising and under-delivering happening every single day I was there. Go to look at cool grills and awesome outdoor kitchen displays but beware of buying from them. Apparently they don't realize that amazon sells virtually every single item that Galaxy sells and you essentially get the same pretty crappy service from both when it comes time to install things in your backyard. I really don't like writing a review like this. I took a year to do it because I kept thinking that their leaders there had a conscious and would eventually pay me what they owed me, but well they didn't. We all know the type of people that can do this and not lose a wink of sleep and we all know to "social distance" ourselves from them. I'll coin a new phrase here that's very pertinent. "Business Distance" yourselves from this bunch of "me me me" folks and go find a true team that supports each other. So I found this company on The Home Mag. I am looking to purchase and replace my exiting indoor fireplace. I told the guy that answered the phone what I was looking to do and asked if they provided installation or had subcontractors or a referral to anyone that installs the fireplace. He said they don't do it and they don't have any referrals or recommendations. I told him I want to buy a fireplace but not if I can't use it. He said yeah I don't know who would install it. I wouldn't know. You would think that a company that sells the stuff would give recommendations or advice or referrals on how to get their product installed or put to use. Home Depot offers vendors to install anything you buy from them. Even Ikea has installers they use. Because of this I will not be purchasing from them. read more

Biggest cheaters and liars in town. My 8 month nightmare began with a contract and a deposit of $8,000( 50 %). Galaxy built me a kitchen that would not fit into my existing space! The owner, Bruce then said I need to tear down the existing kitchen and start from scratch. When I told him, he needed to pay for his mistake and fix the problem with no additional cost to me, the owner chose to hold my deposit and do nothing for months. He didn't answer calls or emails. I finally went into his store where he charged me $5000 more to finish the kitchen to where his already built piece will fit. I paid him! He then took months to finish building the rest and would keep lying about timelines. When he finally finished the kitchen, he wouldn't work well with my granite guy. ( initially said he would work with anyone). Now that the kitchen is finished, he left out the trash and doors I purchased and that are in the contract. There was no manual or burn guard on the smoker and my husband got burned. The owner says a gas line was in the way and I need to pay to move it. Why didn't he design the kitchen around the gas line??? This is a design problem. It's not my job to check where appliances would go. There is a huge gap between the appliance and wall. He didn't build the wall high enough and is blaming the stone guy . The stone or stucco has to sit against something. It can't float. Save yourself and never do business with this store! In spite of the fact that we had to manage our design, install and all extras the entire way, we were still willing to believe that this company would do the right thing in the end and honor our agreement. They disappointed us by not honoring their agreement and keeping our money. I would not recommend them. The first "designer" who was sent out, mis-measured a total of 3 times. He was fired, I believe. They sent out another "designer" who also had to make 3 trips out. She said she had to redo all of the work from the first guy. She made her mistakes as well. Ultimately, we took over the design and had to direct them. The Covid hiccup didn't help and I won't hold that against them, but, they lied to us about the finishing package we paid for. They then kept our money and we had to pay a contractor to put the finishing touches on our outdoor kitchen. Avoid Galaxy if you can! read more

Don't wast your time or $$$ So the company i work for purchased 3 fire pits from this company, from the start i was told that for delivery & install of the fire pits we would need to pay $1800 and i would need to provide 4 labors to unload and place the fire pits (if i provide the labor what was i charged for) once the fire pits where placed in the location they left and i was to finish the install myself, I.E. connect the gas line and connect to the electrical that we had run. once all of this had been done we go to start the fire pit and it will only run for a couple of minuets and then shuts off. i of course call and email Galaxy outdoor and was told that they are only a vendor and can't service the fire pits i bought from them and that i would have to call 2 different company's to try and figure out with them what the issue was. after 3 months of going back and forth with these people i ended up having California pools come out and fix the issues with these fire pits. so in summery if you plan on buying anything from this place please know that once you leave the building they will not help you unless you want to pay them $150/hr for a service call that they will more than likely tell you that they can't do anything for you. read more

They have a lot of negative reviews but Galaxy did a fine job on a small project in my home of a grill and burner. I went to the usual big store places in town but I liked that Galaxy provided a computer generated illustration of the design. The toughest part was coordinating the various specialists needed to complete the project. After the shell was constructed, there was one guy to install, one guy to repair the gas line, county inspector to clear the gas line, one guy to install tile, one to do electric and one to do the painting. It was a maze of people coming and going in the right order....but it got done. Not cheap but we are happy with the result. read more

these guys are an absolute train wreck. No updates or progress reports after multiple attempts to get them to respond, they finally call back once you threaten them with the contractors board. I had to pay in full, up front "so my materials would be purchased and on-site" due the the supply chain issues. it still took them over a year to deliver my relatively simple kitchen. gave them $40,000 up front and had to follow up every two weeks. avoid them. read more

Incredible showroom, but the customer service is sorely lacking. I paid for a bbq package march 6th, I ended up having to go into the showroom again since I could not get a call back on when my items were coming in. I finally spoke with Tim, who assured me he would take over and get everything in. He came out, took measurements, but 2 weeks later I haven't heard back on the last item to come in. Its April 28th, and I have nothing to show for the money spent or have any idea on when it will get installed. **Update - my grill and kegerator were finally installed May 25th, but no key was left for the kegerator. The install looked good, however, they did not clean up entirely. I had to blow out the area to get all the dust out. I had to go back to the store to finalize my bill as they mischarged me and it took 2 weeks to get my refund. I ordered a grill cover June 5th, and as of July 30th, have not received it yet. They came out to my house to give me some ideas of what I could design for my back area. I have looked and looked with no original ideas. Same old same old. Today I met two guys who understand outdoor BBQ areas. The owner came out with the guy who my friend recommended, Craig at Galaxy. NO CHARGE... they spent a lot and I mean a lot of time!!! Bruce & Craig worked so well together, listened to what I want to do & figured out a way to give me a modular BBQ area that I can add onto. Bruce the owner is so creative & although he says he has been doing this for over 30 years, he has the enthusiasm of a new business owner. He has patents on the modular system & takes a lot of pride in the super high quality & durability. I signed up for the drawings which have a cost, but the cost is totally usable as a credit on your BBQ order! We had a excellent Sabre Grill we purchased form Galaxy a few years ago that we love. Sorry to say during some painting on the exterior of the house, our painter moved the grill, not realizing it was hooked up to a gas bib. Well, luckily no big boom, but we needed to get the gas line checked and the gas line connection inside the grill replaced. The owner, Bruce, was outstanding when we bought the grill from him and because they were super busy he offered to come out the same week and get us up and running again. Well he did just that at a minimal charge. He is a class guy and we refer Galaxy to anyone that needs great BBQs and great service. Thanks Bruce! read more

I would NEVER recommend Galaxy Outdoor Kitchens to anyone. This was an extremely bad experience. No customer service, no communication between us and Galaxy and/or Galaxy and their sub contractors. No one knew any details about the installation. We were originally told the project would take 4-6 weeks, then, due to COVID it would take up to 12 weeks (which is understandable.) They took a 75% deposit from us at the beginning and the project took over 5 months. We missed the summer barbeque season. We lost many days of work due to Galaxy scheduling work on the project and then "no show, no call." The owner took no responsibility for anything and passed the buck every single time. Their product prices are high, everything is an add on, customer service is awful from the scheduler to the owner, Bruce, and the job will not be done on time!!!! We ordered a 'custom firepit cover' and for $225 got a square sheet of metal with a hole in the middle....rough cut edges and no handle to lift it with. We recently had our entire backyard remodeled including a built in BBQ and fire pit. I also chose to go with the Kamado Rocket. Despite it being winter and cold outside, we've ben using the outdoor kitchen regularly. The Kamado is a really cool piece of equipment. It does take some getting used to and practice to get things right, but if you are like most guys, this is a fun experience. I've been smoking ribs, chicken, sausages, and brisket. I've never smoked anything before, so this was so much fun and the food is unbelievable! I also purchased the Evo, which I was a little skeptical about, but it turns out that this is my favorite part. We really enjoy hosting breakfast parties with our neighbors now. You can cook a full package of bacon on the Evo to set the breakfast mood with the smell of bacon lingering. Then we can make nearly 20 pancakes all at once or cook a dozen eggs. The experience makes it all worth while. It looks great, works perfect and has been a fantastic experience for the whole family. I dealt primarily with Bruce, the owner. I was very happy with the service he provided. He always answered my calls, returns emails and puts forth the effort to assure that we are 100% happy with our purchase. He was very instrumental in the whole design process and helped us to make decisions. I think his experience proved to be very valuable. I've already recommended Galaxy to a number of my neighbors and they too have been happy with them as well. If you want to get a high end BBQ to make your backyard a vacation destination,, then Galaxy outdoor is the place to go. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. Everything was someone else's fault and their communication skills were not good. I paid them 100% for my counters and grill equipment on 6/17/21 for a delivery date on 9/17/21. My sales person left the company just after I paid for my kitchen. I believe their sales force works a commission so no one was motivated to help me so had to work with the owner. I could not get information out of him and when I called it was, I don't know, they won't call me back or I'll get back you. I finally had to call the manufacturer and distributor myself to get updates on my equipment. After months of delays I was notified they had received my equipment but it still took 2 weeks for them come out and slide the grill and burner into my counters, 6 months after I placed the order. their customer service and customer care was non-existent. After spending more then $25,000 on my kitchen, no one called to see if how the equipment worked or if I needed someone come out and show me some tips on the operation of the electronics for controlling the grill. Not one phone phone call! I would never use this company again and I would caution anyone to make sure you have some leverage on them to preform. They had my money so they didn't care. read more

We couldn't have been happier with the quality, options and the professional and extremely helpful team! Bruce really made the experience the absolute best! We walked in just to browse and not knowing what to expect, we had a rough idea for spacing and needs but other than that, we left it to Bruce who spewed knowledge about everything we'd never even considered! We'd walked into another local BBQ place but we couldn't deny all of the knowledge that Bruce provided, it was a quick decision to move forward and take advantage of close out model prices and complete our backyard. Ended up with a 12' outdoor kitchen with a 40" grill, drawer style refrigerator, sink, etc. we did a rough edge finish in the granite and stacked stone. Items were delivered and set up in phases, we hit a few snags with some of the 3rd party contractors and Chris couldn't have been nicer each and every time he came for yet another delivery, once or twice, he even came on his day off just to get everything finalized! Erika was also great to try and hold spots on the schedule for us while we waited on 3rd party contractors to move onto the next step. Being the "do it yourself-er" I decided I needed a fire pit. I had help building the structure, but I knew I could handle the gas, burner and fire glass. I am a go big or go home kinda guy! I could not find the burner on the Internet until I happened across Galaxy Outdoor, and guess what . . . they were in my own backyard (pardon the pun) here in Vegas! Within a few days I had a custom built burner made in their own shop. The price was comparable to others that I had found on the Internet. Bruce, the owner, helped me select everything I would need to complete my new fire pit and, most importantly, to make my wife happy. This store is amazing and has everything one needs for the complete outdoor experience. They have great customer service and are not high pressure. Bruce, Jo and Vlad really know their products and took the extra time with us to ensure that we were satisfied and comfortable with our purchase decisions. We bought a Lynx Grill and a Kamado Rocket. After receiving my Kamado, I had many questions on how to use it as I've never used a smoker. Bruce arranged a time for me to come in and showed me "hands-on" how to use the Kamado--from set up to lighting and even some recipes suggestions. The first thing we made were ribs---so delicious and better than any I've made before! It's not only beautiful, it does an amazing job. Galaxy took extra care when delivering my equipment. They had to come through my home as the outdoor access to my backyard wasn't suited to moving in heavy appliances. They made sure my floors were protected before coming through and were extremely careful. We will continue to use Galaxy for all our outdoor barbecue needs. We highly recommend them. read more

We have an existing outdoor kitchen that they said they could retrofit and took $375 of our money but when they got here they took a few measurements and said they couldn't do the retrofit but would build us a brand new one. I don't think they ever had any intention of helping us do a retrofit they just said that so they could manipulate us into buying a $10000 brand new kitchen and when we said we didn't want to do it they kept $150 of our money bc they came out and measured for 15min and refunded us the rest. We ended up buying the appliances online and paid a contractor just $150 to widen a couple holes and install the gear with no problems. read more

After multiple showroom visits we decided on Galaxy to complete the fabrication and installation of our new BBQ island. We understood that the project would probably take a number of weeks but were surprised that, as the weeks passed, nobody from Galaxy contacted us to provide the status of the job. When we finally called them we were given a target date for delivery of the "boxes". Galaxy completes BBQ islands in a process that essentially involves at least four steps; 1. Fabrication and installation of the unfinished cement board boxes. 2. Installation of the top surfaces (ordinarily tile or granite) 3. Stucco and painting of the box exterior. 4. Installation of "hardware" i.e. cabinets, grills, lighting etc. After installation of the boxes we were advised that the installation of the granite surfaces would occur shortly. That involves making a template of the planned surface to insure correct sizing of the cut granite. We waited. Additional weeks passed with no contact from the granite subcontractor (or Galaxy). Finally we called again and were advised that the granite fabrication was in progress. We asked how that could be since nobody from the granite subcontractor had ever arrived to make the template. This seemed to surprise the Galaxy salesperson who subsequently admitted that there was apparently some confusion related to our job. He assured me that the template would be taken immediately and the granite fabrication commenced within the next seven days. Then...nothing. More phone calls involving the general manager, salesman and owner Bruce who assured us that his personal involvement would insure that the stalled job would immediately begin to move forward. In the meantime, we were receiving calls from the stucco subcontractor who insisted that he was being told by Galaxy that the granite had been installed and the project was ready for exterior finishing. Finally, "granite guy" called and said his worker would be out the following day to take the template and begin fabrication of the surfaces. After several more days passed further calls to Galaxy finally prompted enough concern that the template was taken. In order not to make an already long story even longer the granite surface was eventually installed about a week later. Did I mention that the floating bar arrived and was obviously cut from an entirely different slab of granite? Different color and all. Galaxy didn't know about this since salesman never called or coordinated with the sub during granite phase. The stucco guy was next. He showed up on time and did a great job on the exterior of the island. We thought we were almost there. The island installers showed up the following week. We could almost smell the steaks sizzling. Cabinets and grill went in fine. then they connected a $200 plus 12 volt light directly into a 120 volt circuit and were puzzled that the lights kept blowing up. Note: Galaxy installers are not electricians. Verdict? First, the good. Galaxy constructs excellent islands. Their process of welding the frames is far better than other vendors who essentially screw the concrete board to metal wall studs. Second, the stucco subcontractor Phil is a real pro who seamlessly blended the island into our existing patio structure. Even the granite sub, once he finally showed up, did a good job with the surface. The bad: Galaxy project management (which is a critical component of this type of endeavor) is virtually non existent. Our experience with the consultant/sales rep, who we're not naming, was frustrating in that he seemed routinely unaware of the status of the job, didn't call and relied on us to constantly push for information. The granite issue alone delayed the job by at least a month. Further, we expected him to be familiar with the hardware components. He wasn't, telling us at one point that the $4K grill would plug into a standard 110 volt outlet. In fact the grill igniters work on batteries and require no electricity. We were also troubled by the apparent unfamiliarity of the island installers with the electrical connection requirements of the light. Electricity is dangerous and it would seem that such connections should be made by qualified, licensed electricians. Now that the project is complete we're satisfied with the result and love the island. Would we deal with Galaxy again? Only if we we're given hard dates for completion of the essential phases of the project coupled with monetary concessions if targets were not met. Galaxy would argue that they are frustrated by the inability of subs to meet deadlines. Our argument to that would be that they need reliable subs. The customer shouldn't be penalized because Galaxy chooses to use subs that can't deliver. Finally, the sales rep/consultant must do a better job of communicating with the customer and understanding his product. These jobs easily exceed 10K and for those prices the customer has a right to expect competence at all levels of the job. read more

How long should it take to build a BBQ? How long does it take to build a house? My wife and I live in a new community here in Las Vegas and went to Galaxy Outdoor to order an outdoor kitchen! What should have been a great experience was nothing but a prolonged nightmare! We visited the showroom for the first time in November 2014 and met with Tim. As a result, Tim visited my home taking measures which he promptly seemed to lose when he went back to the office. We talked to just about every employee in the showroom and made weekly visits trying to get project updates. It got to the point that the staff seemed to know who we were when we walked in. My bad, I should have just walked away but we really wanted a nice BBQ/Bar so we stuck with it. Around February 2015 (4 months later) our saleman, Tim, finally left the company. We thought it was great news for us, maybe we can get our project done. The manager was "assigned" to our project going forward since they knew that we had been waiting so long. Unfortunately, the calendar turned into March, our tile was not ordered timely and the project slowed yet again. We were exhausted with the excuses and the drama so I escalated to the owner of the company. He assured me that things would be resolved and that he would make things right. During this time they opened the hot tub company next door. I think they were too concerned about their new line of business then their customer. Well, the BBQ was finally ready to be delivered in March 2015 (5 months after the ordered it)! When the unit was delivered we got the great experience of what we affectionately call, "The Tile Guy". I would challenge anyone to find a human being that could find more excuses to avoid getting work done than this guy. He actually blamed us (the customer) for his slow pace. He spent more hours on personal calls then my project and took 2 weeks to tile a BBQ! Crazy, seemed like a few days should have covered it. My neighbors found such humor in his work habits they would sit in the backyard and laughed at him! How embarrassing is that? You would think the owner of Galaxy Outdoors would have addressed it when I called him but the issues continued. During this time, the home builder in my neighborhood broke ground and built a house to completion!! So sad that Galaxy Outdoors treated this customer and my project so badly and took more time to build a BBQ then it takes to build a 3,000 square foot home!! I would bet, this type of service is why small business owners in Las Vegas turn over so fast. Plan on spending top dollar for their product as well and don't think if you are going to spend $10k+ on your project you will get better service, we didn't!! I must say my overall experience with Galaxy Outdoor was a joke. Me and my wife went there to get an outdoor kitchen. We spoke with a representative that will rename nameless when first walked in. He was great. We we talking about equipment that we wanted and was introduced to the owner Bruce. We should of ran at that moment. He is very dishonest and only in the business for the money. He rather line his pockets than run his business they way it should be. I now know why his employees are all new. After talking to other neighborhoods that used them with the same bad result all said he is know around town for not paying his employees or subs. He has been in business under so many different names its a joke. We decided on a price and put a deposit to get our dream kitchen done (nightmare). 8 weeks later yes that long to build a frame and put a board on it Galaxy finally was ready to deliver. When they came no call no notice just 5 missed calls saying they needed more money and they we already at the house. Im not sure who handles there delivery team but it don't seem that hard to call someone before you come and not just show up. Anyway weeks went by before anyone else showed up. We called several times but no one called us back. We finally made another trip to the showroom where Bruce gave his word that something would happen soon.It took 5 days later and a guy came out to do the Granite and was quick and great. After we talked to him for a bit he informed us that Galaxy told him a day before to show up. WTF is there deal. 3 days after a guy came for stucco and was finished in a coulp hrs. This is where it got strange. A couple more weeks and more calls to Bruce and nothing happed. I felt like they took our money and ran. One more trip to Galaxy another talk to Bruce and a guy who said he is the one who built our island. He was rude and smelled like beer. Kept over talking us and not understanding what we needed to be done. They kept blaming someone we never met. Why not just get the job done instead of pointing fingers. Bruce promised this would be handled. Weeks later and many calls and showroom visits they finally got the rest of island done. When they were ready for final payment the bill was double what we owed. We had a paper signed with the price. Bruce called and informed us that he would sue us if we didn't pay and he would lean on our house. I just wanted to know why it was more money. He had no explanation except I will have to call you back. He called 5 mins later and said it was extra material that was needed to finish. How come we wernt informed of this before the extra charge happened. They are real quick to call a million times when they want there money. I talked to a friend of mine that is a lawyer and he said just pay it its not worth the headache. We decided to be done with Galaxy and cut out loss. I would never want to do any thing with Bruce again. Months went by and the final result was chasing them to do all the work we over paid for. Never trust a old man with a gold chain that has an office full of toys. This company is a joke and the owner is a bigger one. I hope others have a better experience than we do. read more
