Got the mandarin honey pedicure after calling them to see if they accepted walk ins. They did at the time and I was seated right away. My pedicure was $45, not bad compared to what is done in Chicago. The pedicurist was thorough, clean, and so friendly. She took good care of me and ensured I was relaxed. They got me in and out in about an hour and it was fantastic. I enjoyed my pedicure and was glad I went here. Really clean, friendly, and relaxing! read more

the lady that was doing my nails was pregnant so cutting her some slack, all i wanted was white nails with a little pink sun flower she forgot about the flower at first then half an hour later we asked a male worker about it he pulled out some stickers (not what i wanted) when i finally got her to draw it she didn't do a great job just looks like 5 dots in a circle. very pricey for what it is read more

Enjoyed my time at this salon. They weren't too busy on a Sunday, so two of us were able to walk in and get manicures and pedicures. They offer a complimentary drink including select wines or mixed drinks while you get services done. Everyone was nice and the place seemed to be clean. read more

I went to Galaxy while in the area on vacation, and couldn't have been happier with the service, setting and results of my manicure! My mother, who lives here, said they opened not long ago, and there was still a Grand Opening sign up. The setting is very clean and restful; televisions were set to calming nature scenes (beats noisy talk shows, soaps or strident news programs). Evan did a heavenly job with my gel (no chip) manicure; efficient but detail oriented. It was also cheaper than what I am used to (in IL), so snowbirds may notice this benefit. When I called to find out information, they said they prefer appointments over walk ins. I still had to wait a couple minutes but not bad. There were plenty of customers and a number of nail techs present. In addition to standard services you will find "VIP services", such as the Mandarin Honey pedicure or Royal pedicure (which includes a parrafin wrap). You also are treated to wine, coffee, soda, etc. with a VIP service. I will definitely suggest this place to my mom and grandma (who live here), and recommend it to you as well! Well i just moved to this area .. fortunately I found this nails salon not far from my house. It's a nice place to escape a little bit from the heat outside. The salon is pretty clean and comfortable. Got a pedicure with cold juicy orange on my leg..soooo relaxing. The staffs are friendly too. They were joking around make me laugh Definitely will be back. read more

This is my go to nail salon. Everyone is always so welcoming and nice and they never make me feel rushed. They do such a good job on my nails . My favorite is the honey mandarin pedicure. Very peaceful and friendly vibe from the moment you walk in. I don't think ive ever had to wait even with no appointment. read more

First of all i go here to get an acrylic fill. I asked for coffin shape. They were horribly mishapen, nails were different lengths and the nail polish was all over my cuticles. The owner says come back well re do them no charge I said okay after having spent $40 on nails I absolutely hated. I go back he does them again shapes them okay not as bad as last time but he forgot to put top coat. Now my nails r getting lint and everything else attached to them and look horrible once again. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt but this was just what I needed to say I will never be back! read more

All chipped within 2 days. Didn't apply polish to top of nails or have dryers for your nails.

I used to enjoy coming here but the service has decreased since their opening. They try to push you to upgrade on your pedicure and the service is inconsistent. It's not a terrible experience just not the same as when they opened. So I may from time to time still obtain a pedicure from them. read more

Had a few bad experiences here. Went a few days ago to get a manicure and pedicure. While getting my pedicure the guy forgot to scrub my feet and clean my nails. When I said to him hey you forgot to scrub my feet and clean my nails he laughed at me. I told the staff at the front counter and they said well don't tip him. I paid for my services and left. I reached out the company again and no response. I've been there well over 10 visits and get inconsistent results. My nails don't last long. The nail techs talk to get other the whole time loudly, which makes the experience hard to relax. read more

Went to the salon multiple times since 2022 and this was the first time I ever had a problem there. Usually I would get sat down and I would love how they do my nails almost precisely to my inspiration picture. This particular day, I wanted to get my nails done for my birthday. I sat down, showed them the picture and as soon as it comes to putting on the acrylics, they talk about my "small" pinky finger nail. This was a guy that had never done my nails there before. They've never said anything like that to me before, they would just cut the edges of the tip and glue it on. I tried to explain to the guy how to cut the edges like how they've done it the past times i've went there and he just gave up on me. Then he passed me to another lady and she was getting upset because I kept telling her the tip wasn't straight or aligned with my finger. I even tried to see it from her point of view but it still looked crooked. I was never rude or argued I was just simply trying to show her from my angle how it looked. After that, she said "maybe your finger is just crooked" and I didn't say anything because I was already upset at the fact that It had taken so long just to get put in a seat while other workers were talking but it didn't bother me because maybe they were on their break. I ended up leaving because I knew they weren't understanding me when I was being patient with them and Im too shy to speak up or stand up for myself after they joked about my fingernail. read more

my nail artist was terrible. I could tell that she was rushing through everything. She barely massaged my feet and barely cut or shaped my toenails. To make things worse she was constantly texting someone throughout my pedicure, stopping to get on her phone. Then in the middle of painting my toes she answered the phone and continued to talk on the phone to what sounded like her boyfriend for the remainder of the time! I will not be coming back here and I highly recommend that you do no come here! My whole pedicure took maybe 15 min and she only put on ONE coat of paint and no clear coat. Huge waste of money. read more

My experience from the spa was mixed, my nail technician was thoughtful, did their best. I left with a floral design, even though (prior, on the phone) I asked for cheetah print. They do designs with stickers; not by hand, but charge like they painted it. I wouldn't mind bc what I got was pretty, but they should've charged me less their because they could not do what I made the appointment for. I feel they took advantage of me because it came out nice, but they didn't care how they messed up. so I don't agree to come back and pay an artist rate to them. Not going back, they didn't match me with someone who could do what I asked then they charged higher. but I'm going to miss my nail technician. He did amazing. Would not go back, I like clear agreements more than pretty colors and two agreements were breached, the design capability and the price. They three stars is because the technician did their best: but the front desk needs to be honest. I wish i wanted to return. I am new to town and was looking permanent place they should've earned my business and not treated me like i was wrong at the register. read more

I went early in the morning to get my nails filled, they had been done at a different place I ended up not liking and I came here to see if I liked how they did my nails and I absolutely loved it! I go here at least once a month, usually twice and have since they opened. I get acrylic nails with gel and pedicures. Always a great job and I do not stick with one technician and try to change up every time. Never had to wait over ten minutes anytime I am there. Stringent sterilization procedures followed. Going to try my first facial there next week. read more

I have been coming to essence salon for about a month and a half on the recommendation of coworkers. I have been utilizing other places for the last few years. My first visit to essence was very good. My nails looked great. My second and third visit were just OK. But last week I was in and David did my nails. He noticed that my nails were not up to par, and he inquired to who did them previously. He spent time making sure the shape is correct, and my polish was flawless. I will continue to come here but I will only see David read more

I have lived in Port Charlotte for 6 months. I have tried two other nail places and this is far superior....They take amazing care of you. They have a large selection of different pedicures they can do and they are all well worth it. The best thing they do is line the tub of the pedicure chair with a large plastic bag so you are ensured that you will get a clean germ free pedicure. I can't say enough good about them! read more

My friends and I have been going here since they opened earlier this year. They do a really nice job! The salon is very clean, and I really like how they use liners in the pedicure chair basins so you know that where you are putting your feet is clean! We have used several of the nail techs here, and I especially like Cindy to do my pedicures. She's a tiny little girl with very strong hands! The massage is excellent, and she does a nice job putting a French-tip gel polish on my toes. Unfortunately, she doesn't do acrylics or I would also use her for my fingernails. Our husbands really like Kathy to do their pedicures. She must be able to handle the "tougher cases"! Ha! I make appointments before I go because they are getting quite busy and I don't like to wait. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a very clean salon with good techs in Port Charlotte. read more

Pretty sure I've had a better polish from my 5yr old niece, and this was after I asked the tech to fix my nails. I'm new to the area and chose the salon closest to me w decent reviews. The whole time the he tried to upsell me on "gel" or "The dip". I've learned my lesson to start w the least expensive because I'm tired of wasting $ on poor service. This was a test and this salon failed. The lady at the desk who I assume is the owner saw that I had an issue yet never once asked if everything was ok as I was leaving. read more

My first visit today and I had a great experience for a pedicure and a fill manicure. Kathy was my assistant for the pedicure and it was fabulous! The entire staff was professional and friendly. I just moved to the area and will be back. read more

Place is clean. Place is nice. Attitudes are rotten! No respect to clients...They do a great job for the first few times, once you become a regular they think they got you and quality immediately goes down... they stop treating you with respect (which I know for sure they know what is good and what is bad). They talk about clients in Vietnamese all the time and laugh... why do we still go there?????? Why do we pay them for laughing at us and mocking us? Why? read more

Went for eyebrow wax. Lady took half my eyebrow off. Gonna take a year to grow back. Never go.

I was actually unhappy with the quality of service. Kelly seems disinterested and barely cleaned under my nails. She used a rough file and I had such rough edges that I tried using the file to do a better job. It was later in the day and there was a lot of available staff sitting around. I really dislike salons where they talk in their native language right in front of you. Although this is done in a lot of salons, I notice they do that here too. Is this just me, or is that inconsiderate? read more

i came here to get my eyebrows waxed. the inside looks very nice, but the lady who did my eyebrows laughed at me when she was done doing them. i'm assuming because of how red i looked from them being waxed. once i got a closer look at my eyebrows when i went to my car i saw how uneven she really made them! all the employees just sitting around & being on their phones should've been the first sign to not get them done there! read more

This has to be the worst nail salon I have ever been to. Staff is so robot like, they didnt approach me in a friendly way when I came in. I had 2x male nail techs both times I came in and never said a word to me while they were doing my nails either times not friendly or personable. I got burned several times by the nail tools . The gel nails that are suppose to last 2 wks lasted only 4 days I went back to get them fixed and rebroke again in 2 days. I thought this place would be good due due the ratings. I give it a thumbs down!!!!! read more

Not happy with the service today at all....came in at 6 for pedicures and was done by 6:22, no massages for 25 dollars, but still gave 3 dollar tips. We should have left none. I guess Ken and Alicia where tired and wanted to go home. Not friendly at all and started arguing on who was going to take us both for a pedicures. This does not make for a regular customers at all. The only thing going was the chairs, but frankly there's so many nail saloons to choose from, this will not be ours again. Owners need to pay attention read more
