It's got no food in here except $5 tubs of Von Hanson's Pretzels. Has more when food trucks are here. There's usually one on site. Has a pretty hidden location off Algonquin Road on Berg. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There's food trucks on weekends.

Just a note for those who don't eat meat or dairy. I know this is an Italian restaurant, and cheeses, especially, are integral to many Italian dishes. However, considering the increasingly vegan population here in the U.S. and other countries, it would be nice if Galatis--excellent in so many ways, would offer a few tasty vegan dishes. Really, it can't be that hard. Today I had lunch outside with a friend. The weather was beautiful, the outdoor patio was pleasant, and the service was excellent. Not so much the eggplant sandwich I ordered. It was completely uninspired, with lightly grilled eggplant sandwiched within a heavy italian roll. No seasoning, no sauces, and no additional toppings. It could not have been more tasteless. The server was wonderfully understanding, and the manager offered a discount. I don't usually write reviews, but this sandwich was egregious. If it wasn't for the fries, I would have left hungry. Come on, guys, you can do better. read more

I like Galati's. The beer is good, the staff is nice and the food is food. No frills here. If you want to watch TV, boy do they have you covered. My parents and I come here all the time when I'm in town, its an easy go-to for us to grab a bite and a bevvy. read more

There appeared to be only two servers and one bartender trying to handle 30+ people. The servers were clearly overwhelmed, but unfortunately that also came across as rude and unwelcoming at times. We understand that they don't take reservations, and that's ultimately on us for choosing this location for such a large gathering. However, if you know you have a large crowd coming in, you would hope there would at least be some ability to accommodate the group. The food was mediocre at best, and we weren't even able to order everything we wanted because there was rarely anyone available to actually take our orders.
