Up until now, it has been hands down the best in either OC or LA I have had: always consistent, beautifully presented, and served with a full, perfectly ripe golden mango. Unfortunately, our visit on September 27, 2026, was a complete disaster. I brought my mother, sister, and her two kids, and ordered 5 mango sticky rice dishes (4 dine in, 1 to go), totaling $77.57 with tip. Having been regular customers for years, we were shocked by what was served. First, the portions were inconsistent and skimpy. No two plates matched. Compared to every previous visit where you receive full, plump mango portions, these looked like we only got half a mango per dish. The to go box was equally disappointing and half empty. Second, the quality was subpar and unripe. Instead of the vibrant, sweet golden mangoes we are used to, these were pale green, completely unripened, and some pieces actually looked like they were starting to turn bad. The owner was not on site that day, and it was obvious that standard quality control was non existent. Paying nearly $80 upfront only to be served cut down, unripened fruit felt like a total rip off. We brought family here specifically because of how much we loved this dish, but after this experience, none of us feel confident coming back. I am posting this to bring it to the owner's attention so proper standards are enforced when management isn't present. While I am not asking for a full refund, I do expect some form of compensation and reassurance that full, ripe portions will actually be guaranteed in the future. If management reaches out to address this and make things right, I am more than happy to update or remove this review and give them another chance. Until then, we'll be skipping Thai Corner when we visit Mercado La Paloma.

He came quite fast with the items. We thought the papaya in the salad was cut pretty chunky, not the thin slivers that they typically are in. The sauce was pretty salty and not as aromatic with lots of herbs. We asked for not spicy and still was spiced out. The pumpkin curry was super flavorful with the coconut milk. It looks more watery than Indian curries. It tastes saltier than other pumpkin curries I had. I asked for mild but it was still spicy.

I'm always in favor of supporting small businesses but for this spot, my glowing review is for the following: Great tasting food with large portions made to order and the best prices in town. Attentive service with a charming older chef, who clearly enjoys seeing people eat a satisfying plate. And finally, surprisingly, the brewed hot coffee was very good. I actually typically only drink iced coffee but this coffee was strong, not too bitter, and took to cream/sugar very well. Keep in mind this spot is cash only with no A/C. Something I noticed was the older man turned the box fan towards us for our comfort, without us even asking. We left with free brownies (delicious) and a smile on our faces. The service truly feels like home. Definitely stop by if you have the time!

I measured it at 9 inches. And it was beautifully stuffed with ingredients. The bread was nicely toasted but soft on the inside. The meat was tender and full of flavor. Presentation was on point. The Tiger Milk with Boba settled a bit but once you stir it up, it's perfection. There wasn't a picture of it on Grubhub when I ordered it but I feel like it was even better than a normal Tiger Milk at a boba shop. It seemed to be topped with cream foam. I would order this again weekly if I could! But I'd love to try to other menu items. Whoever packed my food also put a kind note on the bag after stapling it.

I was surprised that there's so much steam coming off of the pasta as if it just came out of the microwave. Everyone's pasta was steaming except the guy next to me. I joked with him that he got the freshest pasta because everyone else's came out of the microwave. I like the interior, it's aesthetically pleasing.
