UNPROFESSIONAL and UNORGANIZED at their best. The employment counselor who was handling my application did NOT do her basic job. In the course of 3 months she had my resume and application and had very little movement on it. I was referred by a friend who's company uses them regularly for their own hiring. So I came in personal connections and routinely both that company and myself both have been in consistent contact with Gage. Simply it was to find me a job while being referred to Gage from a third party. The initial meet and greet went very well. I filed all my paperwork and talked to their staff about what it was I looking for in a new job and qualifications. That was 3 months ago. An entire 2 months lapsed before Gage FINALLY got around to contacting Penske Trucking to get me in from of them for an interview. 2 in a half later I only got as far as a phone interview for a very limited temp job with Penske which they decided not to met me face to face as they hired with in Penske themselves to do the limited project. Ok fine great. Then I was finally a week ago was contacted by Gage to do an interview with a company to do office type work. Fantasic. However, due to the fact that Gage was NOT reaching out to me setting up interviews I found my own employment befire the interview with the second company. I emailed Gage and thanked for their time and I was no longer intersisted in the upcoming interview. This is where they got rude. Gage insisted I did not tell them I cancelled my interview and they looked bad to their client. I got a nasty email from the Gage off saying I No Call/ No Show to my interview. The Gage office wrote I never contacted them about cancelling my interview and they were blaming me for their error not reading their email I sent them. The claimed I never said a word to them to cancel. So I opened my email, took screenshots of the email I told them I was no longer interested and sent it directly to them. They had since contacted the company I was originally referred to them from at the beginning of the process and again through my name under the bus. That company also had received pics of the email I sent them and the negative response and slander Gage sent to me. I have been calling, emailing and staying on top of Gage to find me employment and in 3 months they did so little it was a complete waste of time. I would always call them and email and little to no responses were ever given. Then they completely attacked me for finding my own job and losing their emails. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! You will lose time, effort and just get ignored by them. Then you are blamed for something happening on their end. This is why you should keep your emails and a track record of your tie with them because they will not! They lost and employee and a even a company the referred e to them due to their own incompetence and lies. Lot of favoritism and unprofessional staff. I once received a job at Gage. It was pretty bad with minimum wage. Had a interview once with a couple people and this when I found out there drug policy really didn't matter. you can try it out yourself but i wouldn't recommend it. read more

The application process was WAYYYYYYY too long and clearly not worth taking time out of your day. I only had one assignment since I registered with them over 6 months ago. I have been on about 2 interviews and the one interview (PENSKE TRUCKING) I went on took up an hour and a half of my time. Penske pay's very close to the current minimum wage (rather work at TARGET for that pay). AGAIN It is now 6 MONTHS after I registered and I have yet to get a position from GAGE let alone more than one assignment that lasted a week. read more

My opinion of temp agencies are that they aren't worth the room they take up when you are looking for a clerical or administrative position. Gage had a position listed on their website that I was so qualified for it wasn't funny. After numerous phone calls to beg them to send the company my resume, I finally gave up. This position was at a trucking company. I had over 16 years of clerical office experience at a trucking company and I just wanted a confirmation that this office sent the trucking company my resume. Every time I talked to the girl at Gage, she kept arguing with me and never confirmed to me that she sent over my resume. I think they sent resume's over for their clients that were already sitting and waiting for a clerical position. Never mind that I had more experience. The other part of this was that I lived closer to this trucking company then any client that they probably sent over. I signed up with this office back in the recession with the same results. No interviews and as a result no job. I would not recommend a temp agency to anyone. They are fine if you want a job in manufacturing. That is where the majority of their income come from. read more
