This was not my first time working with Leo and his team -- I've partnered with them several times over the past ten years at different properties, and they continue to exceed my expectations. Leo promptly returned my initial call and scheduled a site visit within just a few days. Shortly after, he provided a detailed quote, and we arranged the project timeline around his understandably busy schedule. When rain interfered with our original installation date, Leo was quick to coordinate a new date as soon as the weather cooperated. On installation day, Leo and his crew arrived on time and fully prepared. The team was outstanding -- communicative, professional, and respectful of the property throughout the entire process. At the end of each workday, the site was left clean and tidy. The project took nearly three days to complete, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. It was truly a pleasure working with Leo and his team once again. I would not hesitate to contact HH Fence and Deck Company for future projects and confidently recommend them to anyone seeking quality craftsmanship and dependable service.

I don't even know where to begin. So I'll just start from the beginning…read more What I thought was going to be a partial deck repair turned into a full reconstruction. And look -- that could have gone sideways real fast. Like, real fast. It didn't. Thank God. Here's the thing about this crew -- and I mean every single person who showed up -- they were just genuinely friendly. Not "we want your money" friendly. Actually friendly. The kind where you don't mind them being at your house for weeks. And on top of being friendly, they actually knew what they were talking about. I asked a lot of questions. Probably too many. Nobody fumbled. Nobody gave me the blank stare. Nobody redirected me to someone else. Just straight, confident answers from people who clearly know their craft. That goes for the construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team. All of them. Damn consistent across the board. Now -- I'll be real with you. Their quote came in a little higher than some of the other estimates we were getting. And yeah, I side-eyed it a little at first. But here's the thing -- the other quotes were coming from general contractors. And with something like this, I didn't want a generalist. I wanted a team that actually specializes in this kind of work. And that's exactly what I got. So honestly, the higher quote made complete sense once I thought about it. You're not paying more for the same thing -- you're paying for people who actually know what the hell they're doing at a deeper level than your average contractor. And as the project grew from a partial repair into a full deck reconstruction -- which, by the way, nobody saw coming -- the cost didn't blow up the way you'd expect it to. It stayed fair. It stayed honest. Nobody tried to squeeze extra money out of a situation that was growing by the week. When you zoom out and look at the whole picture, it's a no-brainer. You get what you pay for. And I couldn't be happier. Sammy and John were on it the whole time. Responsive, communicative, never left me hanging. And even after the project wrapped up and I came back with follow-up questions -- because I definitely did -- they were still right there. Patient, thorough, zero attitude. I had a lot of anxiety going into something this big, and somehow between Sammy's leadership and John keeping everything moving in the right direction, that anxiety just kind of... dissolved. Which, if you know me, is not easy to do. These guys just get it. Oh, and they cleaned up after themselves. Every single damn day. No nails. No debris. No "that's not my problem" energy. They treated my home like it was their own. Like, genuinely. I didn't have to ask once. Special shoutout to Sammy for always being reachable, to John for keeping the whole operation from going off the rails, and to Fernando, Armando, and Salvadore for their hard work and dedication on the ground -- these guys showed up every day and just handled their business. And honestly, the entire construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team deserve a shoutout too. Every single one of them showed up like it mattered. Because it did. These are good people doing great work and it shows. Most importantly -- I finally feel safe enjoying the outside of my home again. And honestly? That's everything.

I had an estimate that night. I wanted to compare to the quote from another company. Sammy was way more reasonable and I knew the quality I would get. Manuel arrived promptly Friday morning. A site visit was done by John, as a quality check, and he was great. I will continue to use EnviroTek for my decks and fences. Quality. Care. Value.

[The following was edited to provide a play by play to show I acted in good faith and communicated my concerns _several times_ before giving up.] We scheduled work to start on a Friday. The job was for a straight railing of about 11 ft to replace our old railing that was rotted out. I asked that the new railing be installed into studs, because the previous railing mounts were loose and I didn't want the same thing to happen with the new railing. The contractors didn't show up until 4:30PM that day. I helped them plug in the welder and they got to work removing the old railing and then installing the new. Several times the welder blew our fuse so I reset it. The crew left that night without a word. The next day I went to check out the work. The new railing was installed in the same place as the old, not in studs, was rounded around the corner and covering our mailbox, and had been spray painted in place, getting black paint all over our beige exterior walls. Needless to say I was extremely surprised at the job and what had been done. It was almost comically bad. Just see the attached picture. I called Roman to voice my frustration. I mentioned I was unhappy with the obvious things but also that the railing had not been secured (a few tugs on the railing would likely pull it out) and that the end of the pipe (because that was what was installed as a railing, plumbing pipe) was not sealed, leaving an unfinished, unprofessional look. He agreed to come back, remove the curved railing blocking my mail slot, paint the wall, and that he would address my concerns. Again, the crew came by late in the day (sensing a trend here, I think they were maybe overbooked and coming from another job, but I speculate...). The wall was painted and the curved piece was cut. That was it. The welds were obvious, seams were visible where returns had been installed, the spray paint was already chipping. I called Roman. I made very clear my frustration with the apparent lack of quality, that it seemed there was a focus on getting things done quickly rather than well, and that my concerns and requests weren't being addressed. He said he would come back and address my concerns. I sent a text also describing these concerns. He cancelled the next scheduled visit. He called a while later but at this point I had moved on and wasn't willing to engage further. I had only agreed to pay half of the job up front, so I wanted to cut my losses and move on. This was supposed to be what I thought would be a simple steel railing installation. It turned out to be quite the opposite. On the plus side, I only agreed to pay half up front. So there's that.
