They do have a good reputation, and the actual repair department are very impressive, as are the sales team. I am not always entirely delighted with the quality of online support, though: they can be slow to reply, and it is always better to go into the shop. Their lower end computers are not that impressive: my laptop was cheap, but has never been quite as fast as my old desk top, even though it has more power. On the other hand, my desktop is still going strong after three years, and they are a good place for additional hardware. I'd certainly recommend them if you are close enough to make a trip back to get things sorted out, but I am not sure that I'd use them over the Internet.

They sell laptops but they also do laptop repairs at what I think are pretty reasonable prices (I've not got much to compare them to but I never feel I'm getting ripped off). I first went in when my laptop keyboard started losing keys at an alarming rate and they replaced the whole keyboard for £20. Then, more recently, my laptop was overheating quite badly (probably because it was full of sawdust after I got a new kitchen put in this summer) and they sorted that for £30. I also bought my other half a lovely little notebook computer which came installed with WIndows XP, some open source Office software and Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus software. It was £150 but they gave me £20 off in exchange for an old Advent laptop I'd been meaning to get rid of for ages. The notebook also came with a six month guarantee so I know we can just go back in if anything goes wrong. I've never had any issues with stuff we've bought here or repairs they've carried out. The guys running the shop are really friendly, really helpful, especially the Irish guy who I think must be the owner. I know there are laptop repair shops all over the place nowadays but if you're in Shawlands then I'd definitely recommend this place.

Gregor took his time to take apart my custom laptop to determine the source of the heat which was caused by quite a few things. My CPU is now running at 32 degrees and my laptop is quiet! Also worth noting that Gregor has a fantastic manner and made the whole process easy. Highly recommended

It was super busy and full of mostly international students using email and the usual stuff. They didn't have the version of microsoft word I needed in order to do the tasks I had to do, so it was a waste of a journey for me and still had to pay £1 for 15 minutes even though I was there for approximately 3. The rates are reasonable but it is quite cramped inside with uncomfortable high chairs which are quite close to the person beside you which is awkward. Not as comfortable as a nice University library, which is what I'm used to.

So explained the fellow at Yeeha, anyway. On a Sunday afternoon I suddenly remembered I had to print out plane tickets for an insanely early Monday flight. So I was very grateful that Yeeha is open until 6pm on Sundays, an hour and a half later than the closest Staples. It doesn't look like much from the street, just a small sign that's easy to miss. Wear comfortable shoes for the two-storey climb upstairs. You may also wish to bring sanitary hand wipes; the keyboard I used was pretty grubby.

In terms of these requirements they have done some stuff in the past, that I will not discuss. Lets just say, I will not buy memory or processors from them. No bare chips. I would pick up graphics cards, hard drives, maybe even a motherboard. In this area they have been pretty useful. A last minute requirement will usually direct me here. Something I would usually get from a online supplier, I can often find a suitable substitute here. This is the bigger brother of its Argyle Street sibling. I usually find that they have more selection. Especially in the graphic cards arena. They are not an overclockers or modders paradise but they sometimes can surprise you with the stock that they do have. Finally, as I said about the other store - they usually have the best prices on optical media. Buy a spindle - save yourself a bundle.

The man was nice, if not overly reserved and slightly disappointed that he had to talk to a person rather than just fix a computer, not ideal for front of house. Game

We dropped in on a Saturday…read morethough, and the staff were definitely struggling to keep up with the Saturday rush so perhaps they're a bit understaffed. However, they were doing their best, staying cheerful and they apologised for our wait - I can't really blame them that their store is busy. It definitely feels busier in part due to the layout. I guess because it's quite a small plot the aisles are really narrow so that they can fit lots of stock in and I honestly don't know if there is a better option other than moving to a location with more room. Given the way people shop for games (slowly browsing titles, either looking for something specific or just for any good deals) once you have four or five people in the store it can be quite tricky to navigate without fear of knocking things over. As with most branches of Game they have new and pre-owned games available for the major consoles and PC as well as accessories and peripherals, a little miscelaneous merchandise, some DVDs and blu-rays and pre-owned items like smartphones and tablets, as well as the consoles themselves and gift cards. Points can be earned on the free loyalty card (or app) and then put towards future purchases. I really like the 3 for 2 offer on pre-owned games because I find it hard to justify playing full price for new releases. If you can get something that was released a couple of years ago (and that hence has plenty of full reviews for you to read online) for only ~£5 that seems like a pretty good deal, even more so with the 3 for 2 offer. Plus they give you a guarantee that it will work for a year, which is the same as a new game anyway. I wish the store were slightly larger, but otherwise it's a decent place to stop for almost all your gaming needs.
