I love their many different variety of hoyas, orchids and succulents. You won't find these rare ones at the big box stores. I got 4 different plants and a bag of their succulent mix. I repotted them at home and they are thriving and healthy. Come to this place to support local and get some rare plants!

I haven't checked out the nursery in-person yet since they are so up north. However, I was able to buy online and pick up when they came down to the Toronto Flower Market recently. If you missed that opportunity, they also offer delivery via Plantrunz for about $25. Now I have a ton of houseplants but 0 cacti. I'm not much of a cactus fan but I've made an exception for one boobie cactus. This cheeky plant has been on my wishlist for some time. It was more than I was willing to pay to import. If you don't mind growing it small, it's only $35 here. I also picked up a hoya, Pinguicula (carnivorous plant), and, while I was there at the market also a fuzzy tradescantia variegata. Note most of the plants seem to be outgrowing its pot so you likely need to repot soon. Other plant accessories I purchased include hard-to-find sphagnum moss, their version of chunkier pon (medium for plants), clear orchid pots and hoya plastic wire trellises. Happy and excited about my purchases. Customer service is excellent; they were flexible to change my shipping option. Make sure to have all purchases in one order because if you add on later it's a $5 fee.

My wife wanted to visit this garden centre located at Major Mackenzie Dr E and Hwy 48/Markham Road…read moreso we took a long drive up here from T.O. The parking lot had enough space for a dozen vehicles inside the chain fence and others were relegated to parking on the shoulder of Hwy 48. This place gave me the impression that the Kim's were waiting around for a developer to gobble up their corner property for redevelopment; maybe it happened already. I found the building was an era of the past with mismatch rooms, uneven flooring, makeshift extensions. The word relic kept popping into my mind. If you can get beyond that, there are plenty of plants choices, Koi fish, gardening & pond supplies,, pots, lawn ornaments, etc. The prices were on the high side...my wife knows as our own garden is a testament. Purchases must be over $10 to use credit or debit cards. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We made purchases but this was a one and done.

But this year (covid-19) they don't have much flower and no vegetables. I had to go somewhere else to buy vegetables. They have also birds and fish for sale. They also have sleeping flowers that have been flash frozen and will last up to 10 years. These are super low maintenance as you only have to water them once a month. The shopkeeper was friendly and answered all my questions. The only downside is they are sometimes closed even though the hours are listed as open. However, it wasn't a big deal for me since I live close enough and am at T&T often enough that I can head upstairs for a quick check. Overall, I was impressed by the quality of the plants and the level of service I received and would definitely sign up to do a terrarium diy lesson!

Cute, creative and super affordable!…read more I remember seeing this place on my friend's IG story from the One of a Kind show in Toronto and I so badly wanted to check it out but alas, I work 24-7. One day, my girl and I were supposed to get a birthday present for a friend, and she suggested me this plant shop. When I checked it out on IG, I instantly thought "this is the place!!!!". Boy am I so so so glad Plant It is a permanent store because they have such a variety of adorable plants, pots, decorations and etc. I ended up putting together something for a friend and for my dad (whom I had just had an argument with the day prior). It took a lot to not buy everything in the store. The owner is so sweet, helpful and professional! She packaged my purchases so cleverly to be able to transport them home. The next time I'm in, I'm definitely getting another customized piece with Baymax's face on a pot!!!

Valleyview is a huge garden center that houses the most plants I've ever seen in one area. They've got everything for your gardening needs. I've been picking up my flowers and herbs for a couple years here. They've always been great quality, bloom wonderfully, and just generally healthy happy plants (anything contrary to that is because of user error). I also love their hardware. Such pretty pots and vases. Once in awhile, they have pretty good deals. They had a bunch of potted herbs for about $2.00 at the beginning of this summer. We also picked up a bonsai on sale. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable so even though the center is huge, it doesn't feel too intimidating.

The staff are amazing; so friendly and helpful (shout out to Giancarlo for gardening tips), while the selection is mind-boggling! We spent over 2 hours and left with plants we couldn't find elsewhere, like Birds of Paradise, bougainvillea, blueberry cherry tomatoes, broccolini, and so much more! We bought a blueberry bush last year, and the berries tasted a bit sour, but Valleyview has several varieties, like Jelly Bean! We ended up getting 4 different bushes! We spent several hundred dollars, and returned a few days later to pick up more items! I had to urge my husband to stop - lol This is definitely our go-to place from now on! Notes: - Family-owned & operated since 1970 - Super busy, especially on weekends, so parking will be tight/limited - Washrooms available
