I had minor damage to my vehicle caused by a New Haven city vehicle. The city will pay for the repairs but I need to provide an estimate. The day I brought my vehicle to Gabby's, it had been lightly raining on and off. At the time, Wednesday at 2:20, there was a very light drizzle. I asked for an estimate and the technician (I assume) came out to meet me. He stood under the roof overhang. He said that there was no room to pull my car into the shop and that he was not going to come out in the rain to look at my car. My car was parked fifteen feet away and I was standing in the parking lot, not even getting wet. I told him is was very minor damage and that it should only take a minute. He said no, and to come back another day when it wasn't raining. I got an estimate from another auto repair shop down the road and was in and out in fifteen minutes. They may be a great repair shop, I'll never know. If you are going to bring your car in to Gabby's, make sure to check the forecast before you go and you may save yourself an extra trip. read more

Make sure if your car goes to "Rich" that you make sure your claims adjuster shows up on time!!! This company charges a $150.00 a day storage fee for everyday the adjuster doesn't show up. He thinks he is charging the insurance companies this, guess what , Insurance wont pay it! So it goes back to the consumer. So, if this man decides to work on your car, go ahead and plan on a whole lot more than his quote. (3k in storage fees). More than the work done!! State attorney general office and Secretary of States office is my next visit. Please someone tell me they have paid this astronomical fee? If so, please contact the state authorities This is for repair from a wreck, NOT AN IMPOUND situation. He is also claiming that DMV told him that this is fine. Let me tell you, he is doing this so that people abandon their vehicle and then he , 1- gets a free car, 2. gets paid on doing work he may or may not do, because if you can't pay him the additional $ 150.00 a day storage fee, he can file an abandonment and get your car even if he got paid from the insurance company to do the work, Which I am sure that is what he is hoping people do. Just beware, this is a ridiculous amount of money to be added to an already stressful event. Next stop Who at the DMV said this is ok??? On to the hunt! read more

I have so many words , I am just so thankful for Rich at Gabbys Autobody! They are BEYOND amazing, honest and fair pricing, professional, fastest service ever! You may read on for details or just trust my introduction. I own a 1999 Honda Accord, very low miles, unfortunately the front carriage chassis (frame) has a nice big hollow hole on the right side behind tire. I was told by Honda dealer either it's time for a new car or you can choose to replace front chassis. As one may know its always VERY COSTLY at the dealer for all good reasoning . I chose to purchase the front chassis at a junk yard for less than $200. Dropped my car at my normal garage who has done a lot of work (timing belt, radiator, strut, I also have had a MAJOR tune up done from Honda. The garage told me they can do the job but! It wouldn't be for about two weeks and it was going to cost me thousands. I started thinking this is not an engine issue it's a body issue. place call to Gabbys spoke with Rich. Rich assured me once I bring cat down they will asses, it is a job that could take about 6-8 hours or so. Estimated cost was much different from the garage I use. Let say respectfully as they are different kinds of shops. Rich called me gave me quote and I also added in a mirror replace. he mentioned that I may need alignment after parts replaced. I asked him to please asses the WHOLE bottom of car , should he see an issue please call to quote me cost. I don't want anymore issues! SO this is amazing, this angel of a man Rich called me back with a quote I could not believe amazing and so unbelievably fair! i Dropped my car on a Monday he called me on a Tuesday to pick car up!!!!!! yes two days he finished all. Wait just wait !!!!!!! Rich and Crew fixed my car without allotment needed, he also stated that car looks good all around! no need for any other fixes but what I brought to him for. I can't thank them enough they are my angels!!!!! In my opinion you should never use any other body shop; Gabbys in Seymour is by far exceeding #1!....I went back to Curtiss Ryan Honda and thanked them for giving me the option as well as showing them the work Gabbys Autobody in Seymour ct did. I waited patiently while another couple had their car inspected for an estimate. When finished with them, he inspected my vehicle, I explained what I wanted done and why. He wrote down my name, phone number, home address, email address... That was almost a month ago. Still waiting for my estimate. They're the only body shop in town, so I'll find one who wants my business. read more

Gabby and his team went the extra mile with my car, even doing touch ups that weren't part of the repair and giving me extra paint! I would highly reccommend bringing your car here. He gave me a fair quote, much cheaper than what a Geico repair shop wanted. He did a beautiful job and my car looks brand new again! Several people recommended Gabby's to us. We took our Odyssey there to repair a bent rear bumper and a severely scratched front bumper. They gave us some options to choose from to minimize cost and the repairs turned out great. The time was reasonable and the price about what I expected. I would use them again. read more

I did the usual, I got three estimates for a minor repair that the yahoo neighbor kid did in damage to my parked vehicle. I chose Gabby's for the price and the estimator Rich. But that wasn't the only reason. He was close by, really took the time to look over my car and most of all, didn't make out the repair to be more than what it was. The other two places acted like this was going to be a money maker for them. Which is NOT what I was looking for. I wanted my car back to the way it was, plain and simple. Gabby's did a fantastic job! It was started and finished in the time they said. They called with a question on some additional work; they were actually sympathetic as to the extra money, it wasn't a problem at all, simply because they called. They even gave us some extra paint which believe me is expensive! I can now have husband fix that nagging door issue the car has. I had peace of mind and had no nonsense my entire experience. I got into an accident in Seymour so the cops suggested that I have my car towed to Gabby's because it was near by. The guy at the desk acted as though I was annoying him when asking about any kind of update for my car. After a few days passed I got fed up with being treated like a pest so I had my car towed again but to a different shop. This guy charged me as much as he could for storage fees and continued to be as rude as possible. The tow truck driver mentioned that other drivers will not pick up cars from Gabby's. This place has a bad reputation to the point where a tow truck driver doesn't want to even pick up a car from them. Unfortunately I wasn't from the area and didn't have time to ask around before having my car brought there. Easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more
