In her defense, she might have been the only waitress working in the place. We both ordered soup/sandwich combos. The gumbo was flavorful, but the broth is very thin. That is off-putting to some, but like I said, the flavor was there. The sandwiches took almost 40 minutes (40!) to appear, long enough that the waitress apologized twice for the delay. She also pointed out twice that the #1 I ordered took the longest to prepare of anything on the menu. It's a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. Literally just sliced turkey and melted cheese... The restaurant's floor was uneven, with soft spots and broken tiles to the extent that it presents a hazard for elderly people. The bathroom had both black mold and an abundance of spider webs visible. The air conditioning was not able to keep up with the summer weather. It was unpleasantly warm in the dining area.
