I called Climate Experts to fix a cracked PVC pipe on the outlet side of my water softener filter…read more The repair involved exposing and replacing a roughly 2-foot section of pipe (3/4" to 2"), and it completely resolved the issue with my water softener system. The technician was friendly and knew what he was doing; he worked efficiently and had it sorted without any hassle. My only real note is on price: the repair was on the expensive side for what it was. That said, the work was done right, and the problem was fixed, which ultimately matters most. Overall a solid experience, and I'd consider them again for future plumbing needs.

I am writing to formally address a dispute regarding the water heater installation services…read moreprovided by Climate Experts. Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Forced Purchase of Additional Water Heater: Due to time constraints related to the sale of the house, Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, leaving me with no choice but to purchase the recommended water heater for installation in the attic. The new water heater was installed with an invoice dated 17 February 2025 and signed 13 February 2025. Issues and Concerns Failure to Honor Signed Quote: The signed quote explicitly stated that the water heater could be installed in the garage. Climate Experts refused to honor this agreement, citing additional costs and unforeseen circumstances despite having sufficient information (pictures, listing details, etc.) to prepare the quote. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. Financial Impact: I incurred additional costs due to Climate Experts' refusal to honor the original agreement and their lack of due diligence.

When he had my grandfather fill out the loan info, the technician asked me to cosign so i obliged. well, he fudged the paperwork quite a lot as the loan was in only my name, and had prices and interest way higher than discussed (i did not find out til 3 months after). The work was done and all was well, for a day. as the unit did not cool the house at all! the thermostat was set to 78 and the house was 90+. They sent out a tech who did god knows what and when he left the unit was pouring water into the garage. another tech came out and just wrapped the leak in foam tubing rather than fixing it. Then finally a third tech came and fixed the leak for real. Once i learned the tech messed up all the loan papers (or lied about it all to us) i tried to call and reach a manager. instead, the tech called me and hurled insults at me about how i was wrong and hes "Not some d*mn crook". After 6 calls i finally reached the manager who said "idk what to tell you its out of our hands" and hung up. 0/10 absolutely miserable people to work with.

We used Dial Duron for a variety of small home plumbing services in June and July last year at our…read morehome in Melbourne, FL. They appeared to have good online and local reviews. The main work involved installing a water heater expansion tank and repiping it to code. In the process, he questioned the reason for a 1/2 inch copper line from the water heater going up into the attic above that he could not fully explain, visualize and follow, so he recommended cutting and capping it. I trusted his advice (I'm not a plumber). The invoice for the water heater work was $411.20. A few days later, we notice we no longer had any hot water going to our home's addition and bathroom on the far end of the house but no problem with the cold water flow. At that point we decided to get a second opinion and hired our previous plumbers from another company in September. After being initially puzzled, they finally diagnosed the problem: the Dial Duron plumber had cut and capped the hot water line to the home's addition! In addition, it was leaking. All this required another visit to repair and repipe the hot water line. The total cost to fix the problems caused by Dial Duron was $1060.21 + $692.92 = $1753.13. That plus the initial "repair" that caused the problem totaled $2164.33. Despite three attempts to contact them via certified for a refund or at least an explanation or apology, NO RESPONSE. No calls, no texts, no letters. This was also reported directly on their website. And, we still get texts reminding us to schedule our next maintenance visit. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!!

No mold or growth was mentioned to us at that time. When the system later stopped working, we opened the unit ourselves and discovered significant growth inside. We then scheduled another appointment specifically to get a quote for complete HVAC replacement. We were never told in advance that there would be an $85 service-call fee. The system was not turned on or serviced during that replacement-quote visit, which even their own invoice states, and the $85 charge was only disclosed after the visit was over. We formally disputed the charge, called the company multiple times, and never received a return call. After we disputed the charge with our credit-card company, we were told the $85 balance would be sent to collections. They have still not communicated with us despite our repeated calls and messages. We have filed complaints with the appropriate agencies. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend getting all fees and the purpose of any appointment confirmed in writing before scheduling with this company.

We had a full HVAC upgrade and replaced the condenser, cooling unit, vent plates, and duct work. The team started in the morning around 9am or so and finished at about 6pm - for all of the work they had to do and having to access the cooling unit in a tight space in the attic, they accomplished a lot in a day's work. So far, we're very happy with the results and love the parts and service warranty they provide. Everyone was very kind and professional. Highly recommend.

My AC unit stopped working on Saturday. I'd used Frank Gay before and had their maintenance plan,…read moreso I called them. To Frank Gay's credit, they came out quickly and determined that the capacitor had blown. I was relieved because it was an older unit. However, the service tech insisted that my machine needed to be replaced. He said it was in critical condition and showed me the readout. He said it was over-amping and wouldn't last two months. Fortunately, they had a "special" going on for new units. Sounded like a sales pitch so I took a picture of the readout he showed me and uploaded it to ChatGPT. It said not to trust those numbers because they were way off and it looked like the probes were reversed. ChatGPT encouraged me to call someone else. So I did. Chilly Billy's came out today - two days later. The AC guy was named Nas - very easy to talk to and smart. He ran the same tests and determined that while my unit is pretty old - it's working fine. The numbers were well within manufacturer guidelines. They said they would not recommend replacing the unit. So, I learned I can't trust Frank Gay. I cancelled my maintenance membership and found a new HVAC company in Chilly Billy. I'm uploading the photos. One is Frank Gay. The other is Chilly Billy two days later. Trust is a big deal.
