For a lot of things, you're better off buying online. but if you want to be able to easily take somethign back to the shop if it's knackered, then you're fine going here. It's either that or the hour-long trip to Newcastle. A lot of it isn't their fault. Shops in small towns just can't get the wholesaler discounts that the big guys can. Play.com can sell Modern Warfare 2 for 25 quid, but these guys can't even buy it wholesale for that price. So you've got to give them a little leeway. The chaps who work there are knowledgeable (I'm so nerdy that I'm not welcome in a lot of computer shops, so that's pretty decent praise from me) and they're friendly. I've seen them help people who've come in and asked some of the most retarded questions and they've been patient and helpful nonetheless. They also do a range of computer-related services like repair and consultancy work, so they're also quite good for business needs.

There's even a selection of games available. There's also the repair and upgrade side of the business which I have to rate pretty highly. The staff know what they're talking about and don't try to sell you unnecessary stuff and repairs are based on estimates after an initial inspection of the computer is done There's also the consultancy side to the business whereby they cater to the needs of businesses by supplying systems and maintenance. All in all, quite a good computer firm and they don't charge anywhere near what they could being in such a small town you'll find a lot of computer shops in small towns charge over the odds due to their exclusivity.

The window displays are usually neat and organised, showing off a range of the products they supply and the services they cna offer. They are open most days and have a sign displaying opening times on the door. I find that the shop is usually manned by oe staff member who is efficient and good at his job. He is quite focused on his work and will finish jobs in a record speedy time. I have taken shoes there at the worst times of year, including the Christmas holiday period, and had them returned and in a brilliant condition by the next day. Pet tags can usuallly be finished in 15 minutes or so. The staff member will often ask you to return to the store and pick the goods up. Prices are good and the work is definately high quality. A first choice for shoe repair and engraving work in town.
