It's the only computer shop in town so they have correspondingly high prices, but they're not excessive. For a lot of things, you're better off buying online. but if you want to be able to easily take somethign back to the shop if it's knackered, then you're fine going here. It's either that or the hour-long trip to Newcastle.
A lot of it isn't their fault. Shops in small towns just can't get the wholesaler discounts that the big guys can. Play.com can sell Modern Warfare 2 for 25 quid, but these guys can't even buy it wholesale for that price. So you've got to give them a little leeway.
The chaps who work there are knowledgeable (I'm so nerdy that I'm not welcome in a lot of computer shops, so that's pretty decent praise from me) and they're friendly. I've seen them help people who've come in and asked some of the most retarded questions and they've been patient and helpful nonetheless.
They also do a range of computer-related services like repair and consultancy work, so they're also quite good for business needs. read more
