Contacted Estes to have septic pumped. They scheduled for a Tuesday, on Tuesday got a call that pumper would be there in 30 minutes which he was. The only caveat to this was Jecker arrived. This supposedly a sister company to Estes. Since drivers manage their territory to be as efficient as possible. He did arrive in morning and had to hunt around for the septic inlet cover before asking. Once I showed him where it was he was in and out at about 30 min for 1000 gallon septic. I asked before he started if he could tell me about how full it was and he said the pumper on truck would tell him. He then left and all I had was invoice to pay. He didn't tell me anything else. So I called the company back later and asked if the technician noted anything on septic status as I would think they normally provide a little feedback as it was more full than it should of been. I called them back to see if the technician seen anything, so had to wait until following day; since we were still have plumbing issues. They called back and said technician didn't notice anything out of the usual. I told them what we were still experiencing and they suggested to check inspection port and or call a plumber. Good advice! After the plumber arrived he quickly assessed the situation and got up cleaned out and plumbing functioning properly. I would of given them another star if I was told another company would show and that technician would have provided more dialect on the pump. Since I am not an expert on septic system it would be nice to have not just a schedule set up but a bit more what to expect. I thought maybe a pumper would give some feedback (although I know they have limited resources for tank inspection) just to what their finding were. Like too much water standing in septic or not enough etc.) Otherwise Estes and the answering service and schedulers did an upstanding job in response to my questions. I am not sure what a going price in the area is for a pump but I thought $400 was a tad high. (I should of maybe done a bit more research. Thank you Estes or Jeckers you did perform well! read more

This is the second time I've used Estes. I have a mound septic system and unfortunately for me, twice in 17 years the sewage pump has failed. No one can work on the submersible pump until the tank is pumped out. My most recent pump failure happened on a Friday evening. That being the case, I figured I couldn't get anything done until Monday morning. Keep in mind once this pump fails, you have very little septic capacity and once you use that capacity up, sewage starts running out on your lawn. YUK! I decided to go ahead and call Estes on Sunday afternoon. I figured I'd leave a message and hopefully get on the list for Monday. To my surprise, a couple hours after leaving a message, I received a return call from the management. I explained my urgency getting my two tanks pumped. To my surprise, I was offered service for first thing Monday morning. Fast forward to Monday morning (today), I received a call from Michael stating they would be at my house by 7:30am. Sure enough right about 7:30, while it was still dark, I saw lights coming up my yard to the septic tanks. Great service AND these guys know septic systems. We discussed a couple concerns and I was given solid advice. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

We bought a 100+ year old farmhouse. When we bought said house, it was in frightening condition. Basically, it needed a complete renovation. We are currently in the process of said renovation. Having lived my entire life in city dwellings attached to sewer lines, I had no working knowledge of a septic system. This house has a septic system. To my absolute horror and disgust, said septic system backed up into the house about a month after we bought the place. Not being a huge fan of raw sewage, I promptly moved the family into a local hotel and began calling "septic people". The fact that this happened at 6pm on a Friday was my complete undoing. We spent the weekend in the hotel because we couldn't find anyone willing to take care of the problem on a Saturday. Monday morning, however, brought a ray of hope in the form of GD Estes. These fine folks sent two polite and efficient gentlemen to my home within 24 hours of contact. They promptly diagnosed the problem and corrected it for less than 200 bucks. Several years ago, septic alarm went off on a Friday night, just a few weeks after we had moved into new house. Called them on Saturday morning. They were closed, but I left a message. An hour later, the owner called me. He told me what to look for and I was able to fix the issue. He came out the next week and pumped the solid and liquid tanks and inspected everything. I contacted this company after purchasing a house in Charlestown. I knew nothing about septic systems but knew they should be pumped out at some interval. Michel came to my house and I quickly discovered where I thought my septic tank was actually the pumps. He located my septic tank, dug a hole about 3 feet down to get to the cover and took the time to explain the system to me. Gave me great advice on finding the plans for the system and how to find the installer of the system. Very nice gentleman and I feel he went above and beyond to help me out.
