When they showed up for the estimate, they took pictures of all the work that was needed and as I pointed out things that I thought someone else would be needed, they said they could handle that too. Their estimate was very fair so I hired them right away. They came early, notifying me of their arrival beforehand and got to work right away. They took a hopeless yard that looked like a jungle and turned it into a yard that I hadn't seen since I moved into my house. The right side of the house, if you look at the pictures, was horrible. Now it's perfect! Not seen in the pictures is the left side of the house, where weeds were coming up through the concrete tiles, those are now all gone! My backyard patio also had bad weeds coming up and now you don't even notice anything bad was there. They are such great people too - fun to talk to and nice people. I decided to hire them to do maintenance on an ongoing basis because of how happy I am with their work. They'll give you step by step instructions on what needs to be done to get your grass to grow, how to kill the weeds, and they give you suggestions on what types of flowers to get. They even took proper measurements, generated renders to discuss options, sent the breakdown estimate of work and materials required in a pdf, let me see the exact materials they were going to buy, and then even got the price down to cheaper than the original estimate by the end of the job. They also offered to apply more sealant to the yard to keep it intact in bad weather. The backyard took 2-3 days. Front yard clearing took one afternoon. I am in love with the work, and now I love to be in my yard. They are excellent at asking you if you need any additional help and giving advice on future plans (for example, I want to add more plants and vegetables in my yard, and they are knowledgeable). He quoted me a reasonable price and could accommodate me soon. Sam came to do the job. We put new batteries in the timer. But it didn't seem to be working properly. Sam said that not only was it not working properly, but that it wasn't an outdoor clock. Said we should replace it. Of course I was stressed at something not working and really stressed at the thought of what it would cost to replace. Sam looked at a price list from his supplier and said that a clock for 2 zones was only $125. Ok, not terrible. But how many hundreds and hundreds was the installation going to cost? He said "I came to get your system going for the season. I have to do whatever it takes to do that. There's no extra fee for that." I thought that I couldn't passably be hearing correctly. No extra cost? He and his assistant went and got the new timer and came back. But he said he wanted to mount it inside rather than where the old one was, outside my house. He didn't have a drill long enough to go through the wall to run the wire from the sprinkler system to the timer. So, came back after the weekend and did it. I did have to pay for the new timer and another small part that had burned out. But as far as labor, not a penny more than the original price to turn on the system! That is unheard-of these days! I'm so happy to have a new, reliable service and happy to recommend them.
