G & T construction and repair is not a good business! My mom and I hired Gary and his wife Trude to install new siding on our house. Gary agreed to accept payments from us after the initial down payment of 9,000 dollars. After that we gave him 1,500 dollars a month until the job was paid for. Trude, who handles the construction and accounting side of the business, didn't keep track of how much my mom and me had already paid for. So we ended up paying 23,500 dollars when the original estimate was for 19,500 dollars. Gary and Trude repeatedly said that our project was "first on the list" and they would start on May 1st 2025. GTS Roofing did not start until July 9th 2025. Once construction finally started if there was a chance of rain in the forecast GTS would go days without doing any work on the siding and also let days that were 60 degrees and sunny come and go. After a while I got feed up and started looking around for new construction company that can finish my siding project. I found Mitchell Roofing and siding and financed the project through them. Later I was informed that the type of housing wrap that GTS used was the wrong material that was intended for roofing jobs. Gary Spicer was terminated from the job on September 23rd 2025. I asked Gary for a refund for services that were not rendered and he flatly refused. I said to him can I get 15,000 dollars back? He said no. Then I dropped to 10,000 dollars. He again said no "I don't have it. "I said "we'll see you in court." Gary Spicer took my moms money and mine money did a mediocre job and used the wrong material, and then just went home upon hearing he had been replaced. I have filed a small claim lawsuit against him and his business trying to recover some of the lossed money. I have now heard that Gary has many judgments against him and his wife Trude. Don't do any business with GTS Roofing or G&T Repair they are not good to do business with! 1-27-26 edit On January 28th 2026 me and my mom were supposed to go to small claims court to seek compensation for services not rendered for a siding project that was not completed. Today, January 27th 2026 I, Andrew Stahl, received a phone call from a lawyer named Jeff Banks informing me that Gary Spicer wanted to settle the above matter out of court. I was informed that Gary wanted to offer me 3,500 dollars to not go to court and I accepted. I guess Gary and Trude didn't want to tell the judge why they did work on my mom's house without a work permit. The amount of the settlement is woefully inadequate considering how much money is unaccounted for. I have check images from my mom's and I respectful financial institutions from Dakota Land credit Union and Wells Fargo. A future Small Claims Court case will be filed for the remaining 11,500 dollars of unaccounted funds. read more

Was just threatened at a local hardware store by the owner (Gary) of G & T Repair for making my review! Yes I called the local authorities this person should never be running a business. Trude S. writing in review for your husband and his business really isn't fair either. It's a false review. How can this business be improved, closing him down.
