We didn't want to leave this review. In October, we reached out to Lan with an upholstery project:…read moretwo small chairs, and we had the fabric to recover them. He was very responsive, and was willing to work with us even though we wouldn't be purchasing fabric from him. We dropped the chairs off in mid-Nov, paid a deposit. He said he could have the chairs ready by the second week of December, even though he had other projects ahead of ours, and was planning to move his shop. A week before Christmas, we reached out to him- no response. When we still hadn't heard from him a couple weeks into January, we began to worry. Lan works on his own, and we were genuinely concerned he was unwell. By the end of January, we had: physically visited his shop, left voicemails and multiple texts, emailed his business address, and mailed a physical letter to his home address (the address for his business on the payment app). It wasn't until we finally contested the deposit on the payment app that he reached out to us. He was very apologetic and said he had health issues, including a hospitalization over Christmas, and was just getting caught up. He promised the chairs in two weeks. We told him that was fine, and after three weeks checked in. He told us they would be ready for pickup the next week. We asked to schedule a time- no response. Now, it is Apr 26 and we haven't heard from him in over a month. Though the payment app refunded our deposit, we are out two armchairs and over 9 yards of upholstery fabric. We are leaving this review in the hopes no one else has a similar experience.

Honestly, it looks even better than the original factory headliner did when the truck was new! The workmanship is beautiful--everything is smooth, clean, neatly fitted and professionally finished. It completely transformed the interior and made our 26-year-old truck look years younger. We couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and the finished result. If you need a headliner replaced, I highly recommend Jacob's Custom Living. Five stars all the way!

I had a terrible experience with an upholsterer in town who ruined an heirloom chair and then charge me $700 for it. We purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Ashley Furniture Store…read more The couch piece came damaged, a hole in the material and the footrest did not operate correctly. Ashley called upon Dad's to come out and repair my furniture. It took forever, let us say over a month and one half. For them to call and then come out. The material with a penny size hole was not repaired properly and made it look like the material was melting and colored on. The Footrest was better by adjusting connecting pieces but it was not repair thoroughly, it does not close properly. So after calling Ashley back it took another month for Dad's to call for service again to come out and at this time the hole can't be repair. And it should have been deemed replacement needed by the company.
