Both times, they did not try to upsell me on anything I didn't need. The first time, we did not really have any issues. This time, he did say part of the house was higher a little bit, but that it should settle on its own in a few months and that they would come back out and check it again at that time. I appreciate that they do not try to find BS to try to charge you for when you don't need it. It's a good strategy because I will always trust them, and when there is eventually an issue, I am sure I will have them take care of it.

They told me to water the foundation which I have a sprinkler system and I purchased several of those soakers and we have had a lot of rain. I'm unable to lock several of my doors which I don't feel safe, if it wasn't for the storm doors my wife and I would be fair game for the thieves. My husband, whose family is in the masonry business, was skeptical before meeting with him. But boy oh boy did Ryan know what he is talking about. My husband was convinced our side yard which was a pretty steep "hill" could not be flattened out, which is what I wanted. We were building a pool and have 2 boys that needed a place to run and that side yard was all we had left after putting that pool in. Ryan came up with an amazing plan. And we were both so happy with how that yard and wall turned out. Simply stunning! The pool company was terrible and wasn't really willing to work with Ryan and his schedule. But Ryan was very patient with us and them. They kept pushing back the finish date. Which annoyed all of us, but Ryan never made us feel bad about it as it was not our fault. Oh and the pool company literally had no drainage plan except to put pop ups that would flow into the neighbors yard, which we were not ok with. And that was after begging for months to talk to us about the drainage. We asked Ryan if that's something they work with and he had a really great plan to us in just a few days. Needless to say we fired the pool company from the drainage portion of the project and that was the best decision we could have made. There have been zero problems with our drainage. Like nothing at all! It works perfectly everytime. And we never have to worry about that. And all the water gets directed straight to the curb and runs into the street, not our yard or the neighbors yards. The wall in the backyard that goes all the way to the front is gorgeous. When we ran into a potential problem with the last front portion of the wall, Ryan and his guys actually talked to us about it and we all made a decision together on the best move forward. It was such a nice change to have an owner of a company talk to us and work through a potential issue together. Unlike the pool company. (I do wish Ryan was in the pool business. If he was I know we would not be having the problems that we are having that pool company and trying to fix their mistakes.). But Ryan and his company delivered and went above and beyond what was necessary for a job. To summarize, if you need work on something that Ryan and his guys work on, hire them immediately!! They may not be the most affordable, but goodness you will not have any issues and that is worth its weight in gold!! They are worth every penny!! And in case you are wondering about his crew, they are totally awesome!!! Not only are they artists and I would say perfectionists in the best possible way, they were all very personable. They even allowed my boys to "help" which made them feel included and part of the project. I have never been happier with a house project in my life.

I hired The Levelman Foundation Repair (Amando Luna-Luria) for foundation work on my home. He…read morequoted $17,000 but later demanded more, bringing the total to $21,500. He failed to obtain the required city permit, and the work was substandard--the house was still unlevel. A second contractor confirmed the work was not up to code and estimated $35,000 to fix it properly. Because of this, I had to drop my home's price by over $100,000 to sell it. I made every effort to resolve this directly with Mr. Luria, but he eventually stopped responding to my messages. I was forced to file a small claims case in Dallas County Justice Court, Precinct 5 Place 2, before the Honorable Judge Juan Jasso. My case (Cause No. JPC-25-01126-52) was heard on August 20, 2025. Mr. Luria failed to appear, and the judge ruled in my favor. I cannot recommend this business due to poor workmanship, lack of permits, failure to communicate, and unprofessional conduct.

Based upon the technicians assessment he advised two options that the company doesn't provide. Not only was he honest but even provided us with a person who does the type of work that we'll need for our house. Didn't use this company but would definitely recommend it!

There is some minor drywall cracking from the process, but that is normal for having half of your home raised more than an inch. This was turn key work, they do everything from sending utility inspectors, to full cleanup. One thing I would recommend for homeowners is to hire your own engineer independent of the contractor, then request bids from a few (this one included). My only issue was the construction crew seemed to have used my cul-de-sac as a toilet. In the future, I would recommend requesting they either bring a port-o-potty or maybe a bucket. I am giving them 5 stars since it might have been Gatorade, and I can't say for sure it was urine.

Called to request a foundation inspection, as the home is 30 years old, we have some very minor…read moretile cracks, and do see some seasonal movement in door openings (mostly one upstairs one). Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. They scheduled only TWO days for removal and replacement of two decks and 15 piers. ( as per their estimate, no engineering study was ever done ) I was told I'd receive a written worksheet detailing all they verbally promised but NEVER recieved it. Groundworks prides themselves as being a national corporation, therefore the leading provider of foundation repairs, but do not fall for that. Because of their size, you will be sidelined, stalled and basically lied to, just to get you to sign. I was promised the moon.. and basically got "mooned " by all the people who passed the buck. I'd been told my work was canceled over a week ago, and only yesterday did I find out, from the new Sales Manager at their Irving office that my order was finally canceled as of NOW and a refund was finally being processed, and the sales manager himself called me only after I began threatening a charge back. I had to wade through several rude office people, one who actually hung up on me, etc. If you need repairs, pick a local contractor. Stay away from Groundworks, because indeed, they will work YOU over. And by the way, we are still waiting for our refund Wendy!!
