The would go through my books, determine their value, and give me their offer. While I was waiting, I looked through the store. The book selection really is great! The books are all at least in "good" condition if not like-new. After about 45 minutes I was called to the service desk for my offer. I was slightly stunned that I only was offered $13 in exchange for the ~50ish books I brought in! Especially given the prices of books I noted when I was browsing their inventory. I took the cash though, because really I was just trying to clutter clear. I think in the future though I will just pass along books to friends!

The store itself is very-well organized, with many comfy seats for reading and socializing, including a lovely fireplace area. I asked her for advice about a childhood favorite while my boyfriend looked around, when he couldn't find what he wanted she knew exactly where it was. The store was clean, organized and well put together. The highlight of our experience though was Kelly the person working behind the counter, she was friendly and helpful. They offer insultingly low payouts, no matter the quality or value of your books. I recently brought in several thick, high-quality books and was given barely anything for them. The pricing process is completely opaque, with no explanation of how they determine value. To make things worse, customer service is awful. The employees seem uninterested and dismissive, acting as if they're doing you a favor by taking your books off your hands. There's no negotiation, no respect for sellers, and no reason to bring your books here unless you want to be ripped off. Save yourself the frustration--sell elsewhere or donate your books to people who will actually appreciate them!
