When I offered to pay the core charge out-of-pocket to keep my property, he refused to call his supplier to check the price, aggressively claiming he was "too busy" while I stood right in front of him. Refusal to Stand By His Work: The merchant wrote "New PCM to fix issue" on his paperwork. However, when I asked him to sign his name to validate that his diagnosis was correct and would actually fix the vehicle, he completely refused to sign it. Fabricated Billing Items: The merchant charged for items like an engine coolant sensor and its wiring. However, the vehicle's computer was not even communicating or reading data to generate a trouble code for that system. They billed for things that could not possibly have been diagnosed. Definitive Proof of Fraud (Dealership Invoice Attached): Because of his hostile behavior and refusal to sign his name to his own diagnosis, I had the truck towed directly to an official manufacturer dealership for a certified inspection. As clearly proven by the attached Official Dealership Invoice: The truck never needed a new engine computer (PCM). The actual issue was simply a broken wire running to the PCM. The dealership repaired the wire, and the truck runs perfectly on its original computer.

This review is based primarily on poor communication and lack of professionalism. I brought my Audi…read moreto Bodine twice for high oil consumption issues. Anthony appeared knowledgeable, and while he was upfront that the repairs might not fully resolve the problem, I chose to proceed. For the second visit, we agreed I would drop the car off on Friday and it would be ready by Sunday. By Sunday, I received no response to multiple calls and texts. I was completely understanding if the work needed more time, but the lack of any update prevented me from arranging a rental car or transportation to work. After two additional days without a response from him, I went to the shop in person--Anthony was not there--and I only received a call back after his camera system alerted him. I picked up my car on the fourth day, but he was again not present and asked me to leave payment and retrieve my keys without any explanation of the work performed. Given the cost, I expected at least a brief discussion of the repairs. In addition, he was not at all apologetic for the lack of communication and leaving me stranded without a car. He also asked me to return after 500 miles for a follow-up of the work, but despite calling and texting to schedule, I have still received no response after 17 days. The customer service experience was extremely disappointing and I would expect a mechanic to take a little more pride in their work.

Bodine Auto Works should be avoided at all costs. This is not a legitimate operation -- it is a…read moremoney pit wrapped in excuses. My vehicle has been in his possession since JULY. It is now JANUARY. Six months. The vehicle is still not repaired. Meanwhile, the insurance company paid this shop over $20,000 for the work. Despite being fully paid, Bodine Auto Works cannot produce a single receipt proving the critical part was ever purchased. Not one. Instead, I was lied to repeatedly -- first the part was "in inventory," then it wasn't, then I was told I'd be refunded. None of it happened. Just excuse after excuse after excuse. Once he got the money, communication completely stopped. Texts ignored. Calls ignored. Voicemails ignored. He is now actively ignoring the insurance company as well, which speaks volumes. Then it got worse. He held my second vehicle hostage because he failed to pay a subcontractor he hired to fix a problem he caused. Let that sink in -- my property was leveraged to cover his financial incompetence. This is not just unprofessional -- it is deceptive, unethical, and predatory. In my experience, this business follows a clear pattern: collect insurance money, delay indefinitely, dodge accountability, and disappear when questioned. At this point, legal action is unavoidable. If you are reading this and considering Bodine Auto Works, walk away immediately. There are bad shops, and then there are shops that should not be in business at all. Save yourself the nightmare. You've been warned.
