I have eaten at this location a couple of times and it has been good with excellent service. Today that was not the case. Order took extremely long to prepare. Their reason because of the fried fish preparation for the taco. My order was to go. I ate the order within 15 minutes. The fish taco was soggy and tasteless. The queso Blanco was gelled and the chips even though I followed the microwave instructions were extremely stale. Suggestion do not just count on sales from students. Take pride in serving your locals too. read more

Food was terrible. Who puts mayo on a shrimp taco. Definitely the worst shrimp taco I have ever ordered. I took one bite and couldn't even eat the rest. I asked for a salted rim mug for my beer and was given a bottle with salt down the side of it. My husband's meal was equally terrible. If i could give a 0 star I would. I ordered a burrito with no guac and no pico and with refried beans. What I got was guac, pico, black beans, and no cheese. Not to mention it was half cold when I got it. My dads rice was under cooked and my moms potatos were raw. It's sad to see a place I loved to go to drop the ball so hard. Consistently good. Nice to have a Baja style option with all of our Tex-mex for a change. I really enjoy their salads with protein choices.

Server was very rude and turned off the margarita machines at 10:12 pm right as we were trying to order. Asked her if we could still order a margarita because the machines were still full and being a server myself, I obviously knew she was just going to pour it all out anyways. I'm not quite sure what time Fuzzy's closes their bar, but I would assume not at 10:12 because that is a very random time. Sat down twice, and she walked from behind the counter and told me to move both times because the section was closed, again I get how that is but she was VERY rude about it. Let me begin by saying, my meal was very yummy. Fuzzys is always a reliable place to pick up a quick bite and know it will be decent. I read a previous review after eating here that said this location is more of a college party bar than a restaurant, and I would strongly agree. We came midday on a Sunday and they were blasting music with a lot of cuss words. I include this piece for anyone with small children, I would not bring them here and I even saw a family with children sit down and leave, unfortunately. This Fuzzys location is not requiring anyone to wear masks. The cooks I saw when grabbing the order were wearing masks below their chins while drinking from cups. Social distancing was not enforced and the tables were not clean. If I were in college and needed a place to grab a few drinks with friends, this would totally be the place! However, this just wasn't the environment or cleanliness level we were looking for-- especially considering being in a global pandemic. read more

The customer service here is AWFUL !!! I went to buy a margarita there on my 21st birthday I was super excited!! I got my first margarita and everything went fine. I went to go get another one and the lady who took my order told me "your last server told us your 19 so I can't serve you" I had my ID and my debit card with me (that's how I was able to get the first margarita lol) We got the manger he looked at my ID swiped it and everything went fine!! The manger told me he would talk to the girls about being nicer!! He didn't make them apologize to me he tried to tell me that they are under so much stress and that I should sympathize for how hard there job is!!! there job is customer service they are getting paid to help people!! not be rude and hateful towards them This fuzzys needs new workers!! And new management I will never be back there ever!!!! read more

Do not usually leave bad reviews but this one is to warn you if you are planning a special event... Don't want you blindsided! I called to set up an 80th birthday party for my dad on a Saturday.. was told that they had a party in the room that morning until 1:00 so we could not use the room until 3pm because they needed time in between to clean.. great! So glad that y'all are clean. I then reserved from 3 to 7.. Said I would have a dinner for him from 4 to 6 with and hour to set up and an hour to buffer everyone out and pick up.. I called to set up a catering menu for the day and found out that they scheduled another party over my last hour... hmmm... that would leave me one hour to have a dinner and 80th birthday party because they were expecting us to be out By 7:00.. what happened to the 2 hour buffer between parties that I was told when I booked.. So, I guess cleanliness was not as important as we thought.. I am so glad that I was going to cater because otherwise, we would have just shown up and it would have been a nightmare... Especially if we were having people order off the menu and trying to have 40 people in and out in an hour.. We moved the party to a winery in town and are still catering fajitas (because that is what my dad wanted), but they will definitely not be coming from Fuzzy's.. 80th birthdays are an important event for a family, and it could have been a catastrophe... Ordering food is hit or miss for the most part. They cant seem to make food in a consistent manner. I've had a few meals there I enjoyed, but I am usually very disappointed with the food. I have a strong suspicion they water down many of there drinks as well. I've received more than one drink that tasted like watered down syrup. I complained once and the management came out and told me I couldn't order anymore drinks. I simply laughed and told them I didn't want to pay for there watered down drinks anyhow, then the the owner and the manager took turns coming out to my table to harass me. After about a half hour of that, several tables around me told them to stop harassing my table or they were going to leave and they stopped coming outside. Hopefully if you decide to try the Stephenville Fuzzys, you will have better luck than I. read more

The tacos are ok fetta cheese is there only high end ingredient and I understand that are tacos but still for the price they charge I would much better The spicy pork burrito could be better dry meat to much lettuce and sloppy wet bottom Sandwich had bread which I though looked delicious but how wrong I was meat was dry and cold and the cowboy potatoes which again looked good were cold and had a overpowering aroma ( not spice) Just a total disappointment to me I would say that untrained cooks are the primary issue ... Go to mi familia if your looking for Mexican food this is pathetic... But they do have ~10 draft beers do that's a. Plus. This place sadly is not like the other wonderful Fuzzy's chains. They are completely unprofessional and the service is awful. It took them 45 minutes to make three tacos and they were completely cold and prepared poorly. In the meantime while we waited, we watched people who sat down after us, receive their food within 10 minutes of ordering. The only helpful person was a sweet cashier, the manager at the time was unapologetic and non-responsive when we tried to speak with him about the issues. We were also with another family who ordered after us and their food never arrived. When we asked management, they were again non-responsive. read more

I don't know whats up with the customer service in this town, but most of the places there are young kids working there. I went to order and the cashier didn't say hi or anything. I asked her is they were the same fuzzy's that was in the Austin area and she said, "um, no we are a franchise, we aren't like them." oh geez, I guess she doesn't know what the word franchise means. Well, this is like the one in the Austin area, except the quality of the food here is not very good. The only half way thing good here is the shrimp tacos. But, the corn tortillas were cold and the beef tacos hardly had any cheese on it and was very salty. But hey, the sweet tea was good. This restaurant has always been one of my favorites. However, the past 10 or so times I've come here my salads have reduced in size by at least 1/3 of how it used to be. I always have to go back and ask for things they forget such as the chips in the salad, the ranch, and even the chicken on occasion. At least one of the friends I come with usually have to go and ask for something that was forgotten in their order as well. For example, the sauce on their chicken tacos. I have not lost faith yet though!!! The cooks are usually so nice when I do have to go get the ranch or whatever it may be! read more

Not the best food in town but $4 burrito stuffed with shrimp and a huge beer for $3 you better believe this place is going to be packed in a college town. I dislike their chips and salsa and the queso gets better after you poor some of the house hot sauce in it. The fish, shrimp, and crawfish tacos and burritos are all really good. They have a garlic sauce they put on the tacos and in the burritos that mixes so well with the meats. The fajitas at first seemed like a hit or a miss but have more often been a hit with the chicken fajitas being my favorite. They do give you lots peppers and onions on your fajita plate. The salads are also a gem, they come in huge mixing bowls with room to mix your salads up. I recommend the shredded chicken salad and putting the chipotle ranch. So good. It's also nice that they have servers walking around that will open a tab for you and bring you drinks so that you don't have to go wait in line to get a drink. They have a great atmosphere if your looking for a good time. read more

I'm a Fuzzy's fan but this is the worst I've been to. I gave it two stars only because the cashiers and staff were friendly and efficient. However, outside of that the place is kind of a train wreck. They got my wife's order wrong. She ordered a beef and chicken enchilada meal. What she got were two raw tortillas with a little cheese in the middle and some cheese sauce over them (no meat at all). They were flavorless and no where close to a "meal". I was able to experience the same enchilada experience with my combo taco/enchilada meal (but I ordered the cheese version). Everything else was "okay" with the food. Nowhere as fresh tasting as any other Fuzzy's we've been to. The only other negative observation was when I went to get forks. The forks were all wet and the first two I pulled out still had food on them!!! If it had been meat, I would have put it in one of my wife's enchiladas! :-) Glad this is not our home town Fuzzy's. read more

With queso and chips my order was over 24.00 dollars and wasn't enough to feed any of us. Will NEVER order again. Do not go here, they can't even be trusted to follow their own rule about masks in line to order. The girl with black hair at the front sold beer to people who did not look 21, and as well as took orders of people who did not even have masks. As well she did not stop an old man who slipped in front of us in line after we said we were in line to him. I've been to bad Fuzzy's before *shoutout to Camp Bowie location, but this isn't one of them. I have been eating Fuzzy's since I was a child at the TCU location off of Berry Street. All locations differ in regards to their atmosphere and types of crowds that frequent. Like the TCU location this one draws a good crowd for happy hour and has consistent quality with their menu. Lot's of daily deals, clean establishment, and quick efficient service. Large patio with tv's and wifi also. read more

Driving to Oklahoma and needed a bite to eat. Ordered a shredded chicken burrito with queso on the side. What. A. waste. Of. $10. Everything was cold. The burrito was so sloppy and made so terribly there was food falling out and all over the wrapper before I could take a bite. Took two bites and the rest was trash. Oh and the queso? Fuzzy's is definitely a place I frequent during the summer. Drinking a cold beer on the patio always makes life a little better... Until you get the food. Not to say the food is bad, but it certainly is never good. Now, like a number of people who go there, we just go for the drinks and have a wonderful time. Being that it's Parent Weekend at Tarleton, you would think they would have two cashiers scheduled and a bar back prior to 12 o'clock to get guest through line. Beyond the 25 minute line, the food made it out fast and hot. This location has a great manager whom I saw doing table touches insuring everyone was taken care of. My kiddos & I hit up Fuzzy's every Wednesday after preschool for Happy Hour 1/2 price appetizers 3pm-5pm (runs all week, but we made it a Wed tradition) We usually skip Tuesday due to the Taco Tuesday crowd & my kiddos being small, but when we can, my hubby & I hit it up!! My 4yr old LOVES the quesadillas with shrimp! We look forward to our nachos with beef added! But I'm always down for the shrimp tacos! Yummmmm!! My boyfriend dragged us here because he heard it was one of the better places to eat in Stephenville. First thing we noticed was the lack of order in the "line" area in front of the cash registers. There are two sides to enter this area, and everyone kind of huddles against the back wall, even though there are metal bars separating the space, no one knows where to stand. It's very confusing and annoying. We walked up and I had eaten a late lunch so I decided to try their TOP SHELF margarita for $6, and an order of chips and guacamole. Our cashier girl walked back to the ice chest, filled a goblet, then proceeded to take out one of those plastic pour bottles they use for orange/cranberry/sour mix at real bars and filled up the goblet. So from this point I am assuming they pre mix their TOP SHELF margarita, and keep it in this white plastic pour bottle for easy access. Being a licensed bartender myself I was highly offended. How am I supposed to know they used a TOP SHELF tequila instead of some well bottle? Very poor decision on their part. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt until we got to our table and I took a sip. It was like someone poured salt water over ice. I even squeezed my lime wedge in, and still all I got was salt water. GROSS. SIX DOLLARS FOR SALT WATER. I was too tired and annoyed to complain, but decided this would be my first and last time at Fuzzy's based on my drink alone. I know this is Stephenville and apparently the town leaders here think alcohol is evil and can only be purchased in adjacent cities, but come on. You put a $6 margarita on your menu and I better taste some damn tequila. Pathetic. Besides that fiasco, the tortilla chips had some kind of red seasoning sprinkled on, I would guess cayenne. This was annoying because it overpowered everything else including the guacamole. Speaking of which the guac was the one thing I DID like, big chunks of fresh avocado and mixed well with tomatoes and such. My bf got some chicken burrito and he had me try a bite. The shredded chicken was moist and tender but that's all I cared for. I was going to give them 1 star only, but I heard The Doors being played over their radio system. The Morrison fan in me smiled and they got lucky enough for a 2 out of 5 rating. But seriously, make a real margarita or take them off your menu. read more
