Response time to emails is very fast and staff do well in assisting with issues, even after adoption has taken place. We adopted two cats and have had a great experience during and after the adoption process. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we choose to adopt another cat.

You know, the one with the Soup. Similiar, please follow the steps outlined in the email the day before and the steps outlined on the door with the numbers so that your pet is well received. We picked up Smokey Bear later in the afternoon and the thoroughness of the instructions were crystal clear and the staff was available for questions and concerns if we had any In summary, please consider spaying your pets and if you're able to visit the SNIP clinic in Meridian, just follow the rules.

We had been taking our 73 lb pit/dane/lab mix, Nicky, here ever since we moved to Boise two years…read moreago. Dr Stoenner and the entire staff have always greeted us & Nicky with professional and kind attention. They helped find and/or supply her with special need diet products and medications she needed after a very active 13 years. The facility is linked to a great online product shipping associate that delivered Nicky's food & meds to our door. We received timely notifications for her shots & always received quick appointments. In November, 2017, Nicky was diagnosed with a malignant tumor on her spleen and, on Nov 31, had surgery to remove the tumor & given medication for recovery & medication for some petite seizures she'd been having. The tumor had bled into her abdomen, making the chances of the cancer moving to other organs a probable prognosis. She was given 6 - 9 months to live. 2 1/2 months later, on Jan 13, 2018, following weeks of her strength & appetite diminishing and her breathing becoming shallow, we brought her in on that Saturday. Although Dr Stoenner had the day off, Dr Lisa Christensen examined Nicky physically and, with the help of an ultrasound, determined that she had a massive amount of blood in her abdomen & around her heart. This accounted for her rapid breathing (panting) and occasional coughing/gaging and, of course, her lack of energy (her gums were very light pink to white). After providing an option that I won't get into here, but intimating (not pushing) that euthanasia might be the best for Nicky, my wife & I came to the very painful decision to save Nicky any more pain & discomfort and say goodbye to our beloved family member of 15 years. We were left alone with Nicky while we came to our decision and for the rest of procedure Nicky, my wife, & I were treated with respect, dignity, sympathy, & a very caring demeanor by the two techs who prepped Nicky and Dr Christensen. Lisa explained everything that would happen, and gently talked us through what she was doing every step of the way. She had earlier placed a pad under Nicky and made certain that she was in a comfortable position. We laid down with Nicky while Lisa injected a medication to put Nicky to sleep. She did this very slowly so it wouldn't alarm Nicky. After Nicky was asleep, Lisa injected the medication that would stop her heart. After Lisa confirmed that Nicky had passed, she left us alone. It was a tearful process made a bit easier by having someone there who obviously cared about our feelings & Nicky's comfort. When we walked back into the reception area, we were greeted with condolences and a candle had been lit at a sign that reads something like "When this candle is lit, there is a family saying farewell to their pet. Please quietly conduct your business". We received a phone call to pick up Nicky's ashes within 24 hours and, in the mail, received a sympathy card with signatures & condolences by the doctors & entire staff. When we're are eventually able to adopt another shelter dog, we will definitely bring him or her to All Pet Complex.

I had pretty much given up when I came upon Hometown Animal Clinic. I made an impromptu visit and was greeted kindly and with care by Sarah, who works at the front desk! She was considerate of my tears and quickly scheduled me for this today. The last two days I've been riddled with anxiety about how my 13-year-old girl would do during a vet visit, I must say, it went extraordinarily well. Of course, Sarah was there to greet me this morning. I left Akira in the car until Erin came to the back door to welcome us in. Again, I was very anxious, but Akira had no fear of the environment nor of Erin. Erin was very kind and thorough with her inquiries about the current situation, diet, past etc. Upon Erin beckoning Dr. Duncan, she arrived quietly and kindly. Dr. Duncan spent nearly an hour in the exam room with Akira and I and was very calm and gentle. She concurred and acknowledged my concerns and we moved forward with some necessary testing that was not intrusive. I left feeling the biggest sense of relief and gratitude! First we brought 8 year old Brandy here for a dental cleaning. They did a great job with no complications or concerns. We joined the $300/yr program that includes her dental cleaning, immunizations, office visits, and more! So we brought our 12 year old Martini in. Again excellent care. Dr Anderson discovered high liver enzymes and urinary crystals. He's now on a different diet and medication...recheck of his condition is in 2 weeks so we hope for good results. Now Holly our 15 yr old is drinking a lot of water and lost her appetite. We brought her in today and Dr Ormand gave her a physical check and ordered blood work. Because she's on the wellness plan, todays visit was completely covered. My dogs were previously with River City where they received great care and the vets are excellent...but their costs and up selling of extra services was excessive. I highly recommend Linder Pet

Honest Experience at The Pet Clinic…read more I took my cat to The Pet Clinic on December 20, 2024, for a check-up. His blood work came back fine, but they noted his teeth were in poor condition, with one tooth needing extraction. I brought him back on December 30 for the procedure, performed by Dr. Danny Williams. The total cost for that visit was $804. After the extraction, my cat started losing weight rapidly. Within a week, he had lost at least a pound, so I took him back for more tests, which cost an additional $489. They prescribed prednisone and a food stimulant, and I had to start force-feeding him. Over the next week and a half, his condition worsened--his legs started giving out, and he could barely move. I strongly believe something went wrong during the surgery, though I can't prove it. Ultimately, I had to take him to another clinic to put him to sleep. Losing him was devastating, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. In total, I spent $1,687 trying to help my cat, only to lose one of the best pets I've ever had. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I wouldn't trust The Pet Clinic with my pets again.

The technician and vet tried to sell dental care (which we were going to schedule next) and told they'd take care of these other needs, under sedation, at that time. Anal glands were never checked! Ears not looked at. Toenails ignored. My husband left the appt with NONE of our dogs needs addressed. We will be going back to our trusted vet in Boise. We do NOT recommend this vet service.
