We have brought all our pets to All Pet for many years and have had the best experience with Dr. Stoenner. Until a couple of years ago, the team provided the highest service level. I'm not clear what happened, but the front desk staff, Meadow and Sarah, started to act unprofessional, rude, and unaccommodating at the expense of my pets' health. We were forced to switch to another vet who has been easier to work with. I hope they can resume previous levels of service. Dr. S. has known my pups for a few days less than I have, and is one of the best. However, for the small fortune I've paid and the distance traveled, I can't let my pets wait in discomfort over whatever the problem is at the front desk - personal, professional, or otherwise. read more

We came in there about a year ago and I had my dog treated for cheap grass or foxtails whatever you call them invasive species of desert plant under her skin and they told me she didn't have them under her eyes when I asked them to remove them there they told me she didn't have them in her genitalia her vagina area they also told me she didn't have them in her buttand now a year later she is on her deathbed because of these things exactly the same issues and he had the audacity to worry more about his reputation and then my dogs health and he one of these doctors here I'm not even sure which one it is blacklisted us everywhere in the valley no matter who I went to or try to set an appointment with they told me she didn't have these foxtails that there was nothing going on she was fine I felt like I was losing my mind but now she and my other dog my little guy are both sick with infection and dying essentially in horrible pain they've been suffering for a year because the veterinarians here in Idaho are like ganging up against my innocent fucking dog because I wigged out all over this place because my dog is a huge stressor for me I have bipolar too disorder I can't control my own emotions very well at all and I have very intense strong emotions and my dog my goldendoodle she is my companion animal she's my best friend she is everything and she's only 4 years old and she's going to die because of this infection and these things I put her on antibiotics a couple times now but nobody is admitting to these things or whatever it is that is under her skin being there it could be a fungal infection I don't know what the heck I'm not a doctor but you know even if I had it wrong and it wasn't foxtails they should have corrected me and told me what actually is happening but they told me there was nothing and now she's going to die and I don't know what I'm beside myself I'm freaking out no matter who we call or where we go here in the treasure valley lovely Idaho small city with big city feel or whatever because these people screwed us they sent out an email they did something to get us like people think I abuse my animals they think that I am neglectful of them that's ridiculous my dog is with me much more than any other human being and they are anything but neglected and I had one place tell me to surrender them even because they've been neglected but it is the doctors that are failing these dogs not me and that's not fair and I don't know what to do because if my dog dies I'm probably going to be next because I don't want to be here without her because she is everything to me and she's all I've got I don't know what to do and I wish that people would realize that you know some people just can't control themselves I was in a very stressful situation my son was wigging out just I had a lot of stressors going on in my personal life when I lost it with these people and they didn't need to hunt down every vet in Idaho and blacklist us because my dog she didn't do anything she's innocent and she's she's suffering she's been suffering this entire year because of this and it's just I had a dream about this place before going there and I thought it was you know like a good good sign but I think it was a premonition of like hey this is the beginning of the end for your dog and you because you're not going to make it through more I don't know but it's awful and I'm freaking out and I just want my dog to be okay and to be healthy and now they're the people I talk to you last so that I can't even afford to bring her to health because nobody will take payments or do anything for me because of this guy because of this place right here so if you want to risk all that you know have fun but I wouldn't go here personally would not if I could go back and change the fact that we came here a year ago I would because then perhaps my lovely dogs would be healthy and well by now I mean one of her toes had so many foxtails like in between them that it's like fell off and it's shoved up in her foot and the vet that I took her to said that there was nothing going on that it's but she has a toe that's missing and it shoved up in her foot are you kidding me whatever this place said about us really really did what it was meant to I guess because I can't get anybody to help my dogs or fix them so they're going to die and then I will probably yes I am going to kill myself because I don't know my life has been really hard and I don't want to do it without my dogs and they're both young enough that I shouldn't have to yet thank you all pet complex for the demise of all that I have that means anything to my heart and my life I'm really hoping that they'll get a hold of me and offer to help me with the situation since you know they are the root cause of all of it and my dogs don't have very much longer they have a couple days maybe a week especially my goldendoodle she's running a high fever and sick as fuck read more

I've invested literally hours on hold with the pharmacy and trying to reach the vet for a flea medication RX with several 'cancelled order' notifications. Absolutely outstanding facility. We took our large breed Dane in for an ear infection and had other routine procedures done. I called probably 5-10 times with various questions and fears regarding my dogs size and aggressive behavior towards strangers and dogs. Each call was answered, and I was given all the information/reassurance I needed. Dr. Wardwell personally sat with us to help explain the entire process. We were also helped by several staff the day prior as well as the day of. The facility itself was gorgeous, clean and organized. We were given as long as necessary to sit with our furry baby while he woke up. We were helped to the car and given very clear instructions for follow up and after care. We had been taking our 73 lb pit/dane/lab mix, Nicky, here ever since we moved to Boise two years ago. Dr Stoenner and the entire staff have always greeted us & Nicky with professional and kind attention. They helped find and/or supply her with special need diet products and medications she needed after a very active 13 years. The facility is linked to a great online product shipping associate that delivered Nicky's food & meds to our door. We received timely notifications for her shots & always received quick appointments. In November, 2017, Nicky was diagnosed with a malignant tumor on her spleen and, on Nov 31, had surgery to remove the tumor & given medication for recovery & medication for some petite seizures she'd been having. The tumor had bled into her abdomen, making the chances of the cancer moving to other organs a probable prognosis. She was given 6 - 9 months to live. 2 1/2 months later, on Jan 13, 2018, following weeks of her strength & appetite diminishing and her breathing becoming shallow, we brought her in on that Saturday. Although Dr Stoenner had the day off, Dr Lisa Christensen examined Nicky physically and, with the help of an ultrasound, determined that she had a massive amount of blood in her abdomen & around her heart. This accounted for her rapid breathing (panting) and occasional coughing/gaging and, of course, her lack of energy (her gums were very light pink to white). After providing an option that I won't get into here, but intimating (not pushing) that euthanasia might be the best for Nicky, my wife & I came to the very painful decision to save Nicky any more pain & discomfort and say goodbye to our beloved family member of 15 years. We were left alone with Nicky while we came to our decision and for the rest of procedure Nicky, my wife, & I were treated with respect, dignity, sympathy, & a very caring demeanor by the two techs who prepped Nicky and Dr Christensen. Lisa explained everything that would happen, and gently talked us through what she was doing every step of the way. She had earlier placed a pad under Nicky and made certain that she was in a comfortable position. We laid down with Nicky while Lisa injected a medication to put Nicky to sleep. She did this very slowly so it wouldn't alarm Nicky. After Nicky was asleep, Lisa injected the medication that would stop her heart. After Lisa confirmed that Nicky had passed, she left us alone. It was a tearful process made a bit easier by having someone there who obviously cared about our feelings & Nicky's comfort. When we walked back into the reception area, we were greeted with condolences and a candle had been lit at a sign that reads something like "When this candle is lit, there is a family saying farewell to their pet. Please quietly conduct your business". We received a phone call to pick up Nicky's ashes within 24 hours and, in the mail, received a sympathy card with signatures & condolences by the doctors & entire staff. When we're are eventually able to adopt another shelter dog, we will definitely bring him or her to All Pet Complex. read more

Our 10 year old Havanese, Mochi, was limping badly and Dr. Stoener quickly diagnosed it as a torn ACL which was confirmed by the X-ray. We had a busy travel schedule but they were able to squeeze him in quickly and repair the joint. Both the incision and leg have healed or continuing to heal right on schedule. We were always impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff and each of the techs who helped us knew what they are doing. We also did not have to wait much beyond our appointment time other than the one emergency situation we witnessed. We would definitely recommend them. read more

We were traveling across the country and our dog ate a couple of bones. She started experiencing diarrhea and vomiting so we knew a visit to the vet was imperative. After reading reviews, I reached out to All Pet Complex. They were booked up solid but said they would squeeze her in. Their staff on the phone, at check-in, during visit, and at checkout were all very kind and professional. Doctor didn't rush through explanation of findings, answered questions and offered some great alternative ideas for our puppy's cravings of bones. The cost was reasonable. I would make this clinic our regular care choice in the event we return to Idaho! Recent experience with this vet office was frustrating and quite disappointing. Initially, when I called to verify services covered under the care plan on our pet, I was misinformed by the answering party about coverage/items included. I have zero complaints about the demeanor of the staff over the phone - they were very nice and polite. I do believe this was an honest oversight. It resulted in confusion/frustration later due to certain services actually not being covered post treatment. Our decision to bring our animal there was based largely on the information given prior, which was inconsistent with information provided on site. When we asked questions at the conclusion of our appointment, while paying in full for services rendered despite the situation, a simple expression of understanding about the miscommunication would have been appreciated. However, the general affect of the staff was indifferent/lacked ownership. We were left with the impression that they did not value our business. I am a medical practitioner. The bedside manner and general attitude displayed by both DVM and tech was shameful. We strive to make decisions in the best interest of our pets. After general assessment/discussion of history of our case, including efforts made prior to our visit for home management, our DVM presented their care plan. It was made clear that our DVM disagreed with certain interventions performed at home, which is valued and appreciated. The way this opinion was delivered was not. Education versus transparent shaming of pet owners seems more appropriate. When questions were asked pertaining to our pet's case, including etiology and diagnostics being recommended, a certain dismissive/indifferent/belittling attitude prevailed. As a result, certain aspects of the care plan were interpreted to be made in interest of profit for the practice. Perhaps we would have felt otherwise had our questions /attempts at discussion been better received. We value the opinion of those involved in rendering care, including the DVM we saw here. We hope to embrace any opportunity for teachable moments that benefit our growth with our pet, knowing our chosen DVM inherently has the best interest of their patient as top priority, not financial gain. Clinically, it would seem that the staff/providers at this practice are competent. Quality of care is to standard. Facility is well kept. However, the indifference, overall poor customer service, blatant disregard for patient education, belittling DVM affect, and disingenuous treatment we experienced merits mention. read more

I was disappointed to call All Pet recently to discover that Sarah, who had been the front desk manager ever since I have been with All Pet was no longer with the practice. When I asked for the other front desk associate, and 3 other nurses/techs by name that were familiar with my animals, I found that none of them were still working there either! It is very disheartening. I ended up cancelling my dogs Paw Plans. It is difficult to justify going to a vet who is out of the way when the staff doesn't stick around. The only reason I kept this review at 3 stars is because we have received excellent care in the past, and Dr. Stoenner is a phenomenal veterinarian. From routine physical exams to unscheduled emergency care, All Pet Complex does it all! We've been taking our Lab there for four years and received excellant care for the minor and major things that come up with this breed - especially managing her energy and enthusiasm along with her accident-prone nature. The doctors and staff take the time to answer questions and explain what 's going on with any given problem - to the point of offering articles and outside resources to broaden our understanding and in the process, make us better owners. Their follow up to ensure all is well is beyond compare - even after-hours and on weekends. That alone beats most doctors, hand down! When we added a cat to our family, the doctors and staff welcomed him and we learned quickly the soft-spot they have for felines :-)! If there is a weakness, it would be the typical struggles of a sucessful, growning small business; training new hires to learn practices to better manage the flow of clients throughout the day. We keep track of our pets conditions, meds and any instructions for home care. Sometimes that doesn't always get communicated clearly as we are handed from the doctor's to the vet tech to check out at the front desk. It is improving as they tighten up their internal systems and retain a pool of well trained staff. I'm giving them one star because their prices are outrageous. The Vet himself is nice as are the gals in the office. We just had our dog spay and it cost us over $700. You can get it done anywhere else for under $200. They will tell you they use high tech equipment and try to justify the cost but honestly, the outcome is the same regardless of how much you pay. They will also tell you they are safer but we have had many animals undergo spay and neutering at other places (not in Idaho) and have never had an issue. There are risks in all surgeries. We love our pets as much as the next person but the prices All Pet Complex charges is higher then anywhere we have ever been and the care is no better. read more

Absolute best place for your pets. I recently moved and drive much farther to insure both my cats are taken care of. Dr. Stoenner has always gone above and beyond with them. I trust no one else. I took one of my cats in just last week and found out she has kidney failure, poor baby! Dr. Stoenner kept her for 3 days... one of them being the 4th of July and he checked on her and let us come and pick her up even when they weren't open. I am sorry to have to write this review. We have used this Vet now for a long time ( over 10 years) and up until Dr Warner left all was good. Every since them it just does not seem like they have time to spend with the pet that needs to be because of short staff, new Vets ( every time we go there they have changed Vets) that have little experience and just plain too many patients to properly care for. Dr SToenner is a great Vet but lately he seems to be unattached to his practice. That may well stem from too many animals and not enough time and proper help? At any rate our last trip unfortunately was a fatal one for our beloved pet. He was very sick but yet diagnosed as non life threatening and therefore his surgery was delayed too long causing him to suffer undue stress and failure of body organs. He suffered a cardiac arrest and DR Stoenner was unable to get his heart started again. I believe he sincerely tried but I also believe the mis diagnosis led to the problem ( along with Harley's age of 14 years) . We will never know if Harley could have lived a few more years because he was not given the chance even though we paid the full price to give him that chance. All we have now are memories and grief that we failed our loved one by not realizing the place we took him too was not the right choice. I feel they should have moved Harley into surgery much quicker than they did and the result could have been much different. They are just too busy to properly care for all the animals they take in. It is time to tell people they may be better off going somewhere else because we are booked or just plain prioritize the condition of the animals in line for surgery in a better way. Is it all about greed, sure looks like it. added - when my wife went to see Harley the night before his surgery, the cage he was kept in was filthy from a previous pet ( urine on the walls) and he had soft food that was drying up because it was two days old. This place was 100% unprofessional,hurtful and wrong. I decided to take my 12 year old boxer in to get euthanized. I set an appointment. I called the family to say goodbye, they all made a special trip over to say bye to my companion, protector and best friend for the last 12 years. Although we were all sad to see her go, my family supported my decision to have her put down. The morning of was full of love and sorrow. We drove to the shop and was ready for this. We checked in and went to the room and waited and waited,finally the doctor came in. HE decided he wouldn't do it, and wanted me to try other medications. After all I went through to get to this step, one of the biggest decision in my life, I had a doctor tell me no. Never was it expressed to me that it would not happened. That it would be the doctors decision. Any one that has ever had to put down their beloved pet knows what a tough decision it is. Now try to make that decision and have someone tell you no. I was never told it would NOT be my decision, or that it may not happened. Now I am going through this goodbye again, very upset, very confused, second guessing my decision. I will never, ever return to All Pet Complex, nor will I ever recommen this place to any pet owner. read more

I have two dogs and a cat, and have been a client of All Pet Complex for almost a year. I have found the staff at All Pet Complex to be very professional, and friendly. They are very accommodating if you have an urgent need, and will do their best to squeeze you in. I spent many many years involved in both dog and cat rescue. That being the case I have been to many different clinics and vets through the years. Dr Christensen without a doubt is the best DVM I have been to over the years. She has an amazing bedside manner that not only puts you at ease, but also your pet. Her knowledge of veterinary medicine is top notch, and she takes the time to explain things to you in a way that is easy to understand. She truly cares about the well being of your fury friend. One of my dogs is very old and arthritic. Dr. Christensen is certified in Canine Rehabilitation therapy and has done amazing work with my old girl. Things such as cold laser therapy, use of a tens unit, hot/cold packs, floor exercises, stretches, and manual manipulation have given my dog a new lease on life. If your involved in dog sports and your dog suffers an injury, or as in my case have an elderly dog I highly recommend rehab therapy with Dr. Christensen. I would not hesitate to recommend All Pet Complex to my family and friends! read more

I was very disappointed with this clinic. My dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was on three different medications. It was difficult to get the RX filled and they were often not available y when I would stop by to pick up. They seemed unconcerned my dog would for weeks without the proper medication. We have been clients of All Pet since 1996, and have always had a great experience and good outcome. Dr. Stoenner has been wonderful with our pets, seeing them from kitten and puppy days until end of life. We highly recommend this practice. Recently, our beloved cat was diagnosed with thyroid issues. The recommended food change worked, and I appreciated starting with natural changes versus meds, but our cat hated the food. Yes, first world problems, I know, but pet lovers understand, and Dr. Stoenner changed him to topical thyroid meds. Our cat is back on food he likes and eats, and his symptoms are gone and thyroid is well within normal limits. All good! read more

I have to start off saying that we didn't use their services. However, our cat broke his leg badly at night. We took him to the emergency room. The surgery was to be very expensive so we took the x-rays to our normal vet. He indicated the surgery would be too complex for him, and he recommended All Pet Complex for a second opinion. We took the x-rays to All Pet Complex and they were very accommodating, gave us an opinion and quote for free. Even though the same surgery would have been cheaper at All Pet Complex, we decided the cat was in critical enough condition that we didn't want to move him around. read more
