I just moved to Utah from California 2 months ago. I've been looking for a barber and came across Fuzzy Nate's on Yelp. I checked out their reviews and pics. All I can say is that I made the absolute best choice by choosing their shop!! The vibe is great!! Great atmosphere with that old school barbershop feel. I walked in and was instantly greeted and they made me feel right at home!! Had a great conversation with Nate while getting cut. Thank you Nate for a great cut and an amazing experience!! I have definitely found my barber!! And if you read that horrible review about racism in the shop, that guy has got things twisted!! It's the total opposite there!! They welcome anyone and everyone!! I'm Japanese and there was no racial tensions whatsoever!! So do yourself a favor and get your haircut at Fuzzy Nate's!! You won't regret it!! read more

Easy online booking fair price. Shoutout to Michael. I like the individual booths like a catholic confession. read more

Fuzzy Nate is the real deal. Nate cut my son's hair--and somehow managed to tame seven cowlicks into an amazingly cool style we were looking for. That alone deserves applause. But what really sets Nate apart is the experience. Great conversation, total presence, and a clear love for his craft. You can tell he's not just cutting hair--he's creating something and genuinely cares about the person in the chair. Beyond the skill, Nate is just a kind human. Thoughtful, insightful, and grounded, with a really beautiful perspective on the world. My son walked out looking great and feeling great, and that's not something you get everywhere. Highly recommend Fuzzy Nate's to anyone looking for an excellent cut and an even better experience. read more

Bronco is fun! The talk is fun fast and furious! She works hard and can cut what hair i have left and shave my face grown long. Even the ear hair meets it s doom! She is kind and sweet and a pleasure to be associated with. Kudos! The vibe is laid back and i will be a patron for life. read more

My first time to Fuzzy Nate's, Kaylene was my barber. I have to say this was the very best experience and a very good choice for a barbershop. She was personable and I enjoyed talking to her while she cut my hair and a beard trim. I will be honest it's probably the best haircut and beard trim, she paid attention to detail. I have to mention how nice of a barbershop this place is. This will be my new barbershop. read more

Just got back from a haircut by Grady at Fuzzy Nate's. What a great, laid back barbershop. Grady gave me a perfect haircut while we talked about life. You'll go a long way to find a better place to cut your hair, get a shave, etc. Nate's website makes it easy to arrange a haircut whenever you want one. read more

I've gone to see Michael twice now and will be returning. Fuzzy Nate's is now my primary shop, and Michael is my barber! Awesome, well thought out, quality shop. Comfortable environment and genuinely a fun place to hang out. I've had just a cut and a cut and beard trim. Both were reasonably price and well worth it. I purchased some products they stock upfront, and absolutely loved them( Utah made, El Squanto!) Fuzzy Nate's is rad folks. Staff cares, prices reflect normal people, and it seems Nate has worked hard to make this place what it is now. read more

Man, I am so glad I find my man Fuzzy Nate. I swear, I had been to a half dozen barbershops before I found this shop. First off, Nate is a cool dude and he has a wealth of information and can chat with the best of them. He actually helped me find a restaurant in Utah that serves fresh fish!! Second, Nate made it clear that we were not going down the old path, with guards and scraping up my head and neck by switching from one guard to the next to the next. He was going free hand and I thought, okay bro; I'm game. I've been to Fuzzy Nate about 6 times since I first found this spot and I have found my new barber. Well, for the next month or so, until I move to the East Coast to try to find myself. I explained to him that his prices were too low and that he could make a killing if he raised the rates. Humbly, he explained that his business plan is about providing a service to the regular guys, who work hard for a living and may not have an endless amount of cash. He said he's making a good living doing things his way and being someone else is not in the cards. That conversation really hit me and was a profound statement, considering where we are as a country in 2020. If you are looking for a new barber, stop looking and book an appointment online right now. read more

This place is by far the best barbershop in town. Nate has the hands of a god. I can't speak of the other stylist, but Nate though. Yes please He knows his way around some complicated situations, me I'm the complicated situation. Nate gave me the best cut I've had in years. Thank you! read more

Always a great experience. Like stopping in to see an old friend every time. Awesome service and equally great conversation. Nate is genuinely one of the nicest people. I highly recommend Fuzzy Nate's to every one looking for a barber shop. read more

Great spot and great cut! I was passing through town on business and hesitant to try somewhere new. Jason is a master of his craft and actually listened to what I was asking for. Super reasonable price as well. Highly recommend. read more

It's a shop that gives okay cuts. It's also a shop heavy in racism and lacking of taste. Owner "Fuzzy Nate" was telling a story in which he was repeating what a friend said that included the N-word with a hard "r". Nate felt he was justified in using the N-word in this context because he was just repeating what another friend said. I disagreed. Another barber felt comfortable saying I have digestive issues because I'm native. He felt justified because one of his best friends is native. I disagreed with this also. I hope this helps whoever reads this. read more

I was not married before Nate was my barber. Now I'm married. Coincidence? It always feels like I'm hanging out with a friend who happens to be cutting my hair. Nate is honest and does a great job. I highly recommend Fuzzy Nate's if you're in the area. read more

Great service, ambience and prices. Fuzzy is a stand up guy who does great work. I always have a good time here. Interesting , engaging and open conversations abound. The hot towel, straight razor shave and massage to end are always a treat. read more

I'm having mixed feelings as I'm writing this. My child used to go to Jason for many months. Jason and Nate were both very welcoming, Jason gave great haircuts and my child genuinely liked talking to him during his haircuts. Now comes the uncomfortable part - after going there for several months, last time I went, the tip amount automatically changed to 25% as the minimum amount! It's hard for me to believe this is the setting for everyone. It sure wasn't the previous 5+ time I've gone. I've always tipped Jason 20%. Sure, I could've said something but it was the principle. Jason knew exactly what was going on because he was observing my reaction. It was the last time we went there. It's the principle. read more

Just moved to Salt Lake City from Texas, and if there is anything in Utah better than Texas it would have to be Fuzzy Nates Barber Shop. I've only had 2 barbers in my life, my Pre-School teacher when I was growing up and a nice lady at the Sports Clips while I was in college. No offense at all to my Pre-School teacher, but Nate provides both the best experience and haircut I could have ever asked for. With Nate, I know I can walk in and ask for a "Normal Haircut" without knowing the numbers and go home to a happy woman. Keep up the great work Nate, see you every month or so! read more

Absolutely hands down the place to be if you want the best cut money can buy. I've been seeing Nate for years and never once have I felt that I was just a customer. They go out of their way to make the entire experience exactly what you'd expect a damn good barbershop to be. Fair, honest, and one hell of a good guy is how I'd describe my friend at Fuzzy Nates! read more

I found my new barber... Nate at Fuzzy Nate's in Salt Lake City. Yes, I drove 45 minutes from utah county for a beard trim. My regular barber up and moved to Tennessee and he was difficult to replace. Nate is very professional, great personality, wields a straight razor with precision! A good barber is also a good therapist lol! I highly recommend Fuzzy Nate's! I will be a returning customer for sure! #worththetrip #beardtherapy #classicallytrained #downwithgreatclips read more

This shop has the old world feel that you crave, and it's filled with awesome people. I went in for a cut with Samantha and She was with me for a good... 2 hours? while I bounced ideas off of her and shaped out my concept cut. She made time for me. It was incredible. And when something was just a little off for me Fuzzy Nate himself had me come back in and brought the sides in a little more, and then gave me a hug. Straight up. Jesse is so kickass too guys, he plays a mean guitar. HIGHLY recommend you give it a try. what have you got to lose besides a few weeks of your hair... These people are your people, and they make sure you know that you're their people too. read more

Is Nate the most honest and unabashed barber I've ever met? Yes, yes he is. Is he rad and does his honesty help you become a more dapper gentleman? Yes he most certainly does. I've found my barber for life at Fuzzy Nate's and I am stoked to be on the journey. Great hair and beard trims here I come. read more

I brought my son in after having numerous horrible hair cutting experiences. He has straight hair with two cowlicks that make it very difficult to work with. Nate made him feel very comfortable and did an amazing job. I'll try not to wait so long for another dreaded hair cute. I'll be seeing Nate from here on out. read more

Just had my first head shave at Fuzzy Nate's Barber shop & Shave Parlor. There are not enough words to say how impressed I am. This is not a salon pretending to be a barber shop. This is not your friend's basement. This is a man's barber shop. It's classy and timeless. You will feel like you stepped back in time to when men were men and they did men things. Oh, and if you like motorcycles, the shop is attached to one of the best locally owned motorcycle garages in Salt lake city, Salt City Builds. As a man who enjoys the roar of a small engine, this space give me a jolt of energy every time I walk in. Lest I forget, I also got the best head shave of my life here from Josh M. I have very sensitive skin and am particular about who puts a razor to my head. I trust my scalp to Josh's precision hands any day. I suggest anyone looking for a good barber make your way down to Fuzzy Nate's. One cut and you will be hooked! read more

I went here after shying away from here because of the 20 haircut price. Went to two different cheaper barbershops and I got what I paid for, a bad fade. I went into Nate's and I got professional and personal experience. It's nice it's a one chair shop because you don't have other barbers shouting their thoughts the entire time your in the shop. Another aspect I liked about Nate's is you can talk as much as you want or not talk at all. Make sure to schedule an appointment. Great fade and great service. I highly recommend. read more
