Okay. So I don't live in Georgia. I don't even live close to Georgia. But I'm going to tell you that this is one of the best yarn stores I have ever encountered. I'm not even sure how I found The Fuzzy Goat, a Facebook ad maybe, but I'm so glad that I did. They have a beautiful selection of yarn, especially featuring indie dyers, and a great selection of accessories and bags. Every time I look at their website, I find something else that I "need"! My favorite item is the "Box of Goats". It is a box of 31 surprises, one item to open for each day in December. It includes little skeins of yarn and a pattern to work on. Last year, I had so much fun opening up each gift. Besides the yarn, there were cute accessories, sweet treats, and a yummy recipe. And it showcased local shops in the area, which I thought was pretty cool. They also have a great Facebook page that highlights their store and a Facebook group where knitters and crocheters can chat about their different Fuzzy Goat projects. Their social media is on point and really gives you an idea of what it's like to be there in the shop! Check out The Fuzzy Goat, you won't be disappointed. Hopefully one day, I'll get out to Georgia and visit in person. For now, I'll be content to check out the website each week. read more

Adorable little shop! Even a non-knitter like myself enjoyed perusing this store with family on the day after Christmas. I liked that they offered various classes and thought the project kits were pretty inspirational. Tackling a new skill like knitting would be made so much easier with a class or kit! Plus, they also had a few little accessories and ornaments for sale for those of you not at all interested in working with yarn. Make sure to check out their website regarding COVID-19. They are currently open limited hours on Tuesday through Sunday and offer both virtual shopping and in-store private shopping opportunities. This is a lovely knitting store with yarn, patterns, classes and more. Staff was friendly and helpful - lots of good vibes and you can tell they want you to be successful with your projects. Everybody was unbelievably helpful and was willing to aid in my finding yarn and even suggested several projects that would go well with the yarn I got. They were even nice enough to put the project instructions in page protectors so that I could use them for years to come. First time in this great store today! I know absolutely nothing about knitting but have been following Fuzzy because of the name alone on Facebook since visiting Thomasville back in November. Upon walking in, you are met with rows and rows of yarn of course, but also are struck by the structure of the store which incorporates parts of the old tin roof on the walls and a great skylight. Displayed along with the yarn are various completed knit scarves and projects which really get the creative juices flowing. If you are so inclined, Fuzzy offers a variety of classes and help for the novice along with the experienced artisan. As a matter of fact, there was a weaving class that was going on during my visit. The owner is very approachable and enthusiastic. Overall my first time in this neat little place was awesome and I shall return. read more
